[4.0] "Even with this name, the show is not trash, but I can hardly call it good either. The opening scramble was the usual fun spotfest, lead by the vastly superior talents of GPA and Marshe Rockett, with the novelty of a dual pinfall leading to a sudden death decision match, with the only negative being the criminally short time for that ultimate duel. The Four Star Heroes had their usual mediocre formula tag match, not even close to the quality of their previous match. The crowd approved the Cannon/Stitches battle, but for me it was amongst the worst matches Freelance has put on, with corny characters, forced narrative and sloppy execution that Arik Cannon simply could not elevate to his standards, the Sally Stiches character being thinly veiled nepotism. Suge/Darin was a fine contest, but with too much focus on contrived comedy and not enough of the intensity that would come in later years. The formation of the Brothers of Funstruction has potential, but feels both rushed and too tentative, making them weak challengers to the red-hot champions. The main event was a good marquee match, but the heel side worked quite lazily and seemed second-rate to the grandiose face team, making for a very long match that had many lulls in the action and did not nearly reach its potential. This show has to be seen has a letdown, with bigger matches dropping the ball and the overall vibe feeling like those shaky 2014 experimental shows. I have to hope Freelance can pick themselves up and produce show at the measure of their potential, rather than this type of mess."
