[8.0] "Dayton was always considered a "B" market for ROH in this era. Most of this was simply being the Friday night of a doubleshot weekend paired with a bigger market, in particular Chicago. However in 2005, all three Dayton shows really delivered. Coming off the marathon final RexPlex show the week before, this show features a nice mixture of good action and story-driven content. There is progression in major storylines (Embassy establishing itself as the premier faction in 2005; Homicide vs. Danielson fighting it out even with the threat of their pay being taken away by management) and even the basic beginning of other rivalries (Styles vs. Rave and Nigel vs. Cabana). Some strong matches are found in the second half of the show with Gibson vs. Spanky being a particular favorite. Shelley vs. Punk is also really good. One of the best Dayton shows of the 2003-2007 timeframe. Possibly the best of the three Anniversary shows."

[8.0] "This event was a step up from the first card in the Third Anniversary Celebration, especially the main event. Punk v. Shelley, Rave v. Styles and Gibson v. Spanky were all very solid singles matches. The four-way women's match was also surprisingly good, with all four working hard throughout the short time they were given. There weren't any match of the year candidates, but still very good overall."

[8.0] "After a bit of a rocky start, this ended up being a great show. While the card looked solid on paper, there wasn't a whole lot that I was really clamouring to see, but in execution I thought everybody put forth a really strong effort and managed to exceed my expectations. Punk vs. Shelley gets my vote for MOTN, but I enjoyed everything from Nigel vs. Colt until the end of the show, and even the first two matches weren't exactly bad as much as they were just a bit uninteresting. A definitive improvement from Night One, and while it's not a classic that you need to rush out and see immediately, it's a very consistently strong show, and an easy recommendation from me."
