[4.0] "Mathis/Crist is far from a great opener, with both guys getting busted open instantly to force drama in the first match being too much for what was a very ordinary match. Tremont/Crane also felt bland, as Josh Crane simply isn't on the level of this competition. Rickey/Havoc pits two guys who have to put efforts to hide their goofy demeanor in such circumstances, so much I do believe they overcompensated by using so much lightubes that it became meaningless. The Triple Threat Match felt horribly random, with so much stuff lying around that it became distracting, and the rookie's victory felt very forced and unmerited. Lucky/Ryan found a few ways to be unique, as while they followed the deathmatch formula, the humor in weapons choice did distinguish them from the serious tournaments, where lego blocks and oranges would not fly well. Lucky has been on a wonderful streak of entertainment for the last three tournaments. Tremont/Havoc felt terribly predictable, but went by fast and thus was a very functional mean to an end. Claxton/Crist became repetitive and showed the lack of depth in this tournament, but the winner gets a chance to improve in a big match situation. Moore/Crist was a very poor choice of non-tournament match, pushing a confusing feud without providing any variety to the show, and really should have been included to the field that was quite poor this year. The Donst/Gacy angle killed time before the main event, set-ups a big match for a future show and introduces Tim Donst back to the roster with a nice buzz. Tremont/Claxton was a Finals that lacked a special hook, but since both guys are well liked the crowd stayed engaged throughout, which is nice. This is one of the weakest pool of competitors ever, and only one credible victor made it to the semi-finals. Yet, Conor Claxton had a nice progression in the night and the non-tournament segments were essentially effective, making it a decently tolerable show."

[6.0] "Good Tournament of Death, the best is winner - Matt Tremont is future CZW and futur CZW World Heavyweight Champions. The best match was Three Way Match in 1st round. UV matches was good and solid but nothing special."
