[10.0] "on paper, a two match card, but you can't really get better than EC3/Spud. one of the greatest wrestling feuds of the last decade. It took them 6 months before they even stepped into the ring together and we finally got to see it in front of a partisan hometown crowd for Spud. IN retrospect EC3 was always going to win, but Spud made us believe he could do it. EY and Roode was also a nicely done feud with a good match here and a great direct way to kick off the show."
[10.0] "One of the best episodes of Impact I have ever seen. The London crowd was HOT all night, and rightfully so. Roode/EY started things off with a barn burner of a Last Man Standing match, the big exclamation mark they needed on their feud. Drew cut a good promo against MVP, Magnus looked great in his return, and Robbie and Brooke had some solid comedy in their match. But the story, oh my word the story, was the main event, EC3 vs. Rockstar Spud. A story building for SEVEN MONTHS, a beautiful thing in this world of instant gratification, the crowd was exploding about this one from the start, breaking out spontaneously in "Hail Britannia" during Rockstar Spud's entrance and truly hating on EC3, who egged them on perfectly. The match itself was pure perfection, and once the slight (and, in story, necessary) appearance of Tyrus was countered by a brief counter from Anderson, it REALLY got good as Spud was split wide open and bleed so much they were forced to censor some of the footage. Despite literally staining the ring red Spud kept fighting and fighting, and would not say die until the very bitter end when even EC3 looked reluctant to put down this amazing young fighter. After the match EC3 seemed incredibly moved and spoke from the heart, praising Spud's performance, apologizing for the wrongs he had done him, and seemingly legitimately determined to make amends. It was a fantastic face turn and the crowd loved it. UNTIL At the last possible moment, EC3 SMASHED Spud down, CRUSHED his dreams, and SHAVED HIS HEAD in front of his friends, family, and countryman. It was, without a doubt, the most amazingly heelish thing I have ever seen in my life. This is a must see episode. If you only watch one episode of Impact this year, this is the one."
