[7.0] "Minoru (c) -vs- Ryusuke Taguchi - (IWGP Junior Title) [*** 1/4], Jushin Liger & Jado & Gedo & Prince Devitt -vs- Tiger Mask & El Samurai & Yujiro & Tetsuya Naito [** 1/2] A entertaining 8-man junior heavyweight battle between CTU and the group NJPW faces. This was Jado's NJPW comeback match since the injury that kept him out of the Best of the Super Junior tournament in June. The two NJPW young lions Yujiro & Naito did well. Naito did that sliding kick he did at the Apache Pro show and also a plancha dive out of the ring while Yujiro showed off his strength including a long German Suplex. Dick Togo & Taka Michinoku (c) -vs- Koji Kanemoto & Wataru Inoue - (IWGP Junior Tag Title) [** 1/4] Dick & Taka making their 1st defense of the IWGP Junior Tag Titles they won from Jado & Gedo in May. And the first challengers are the former champion team of Kanemoto & Inoue. It was a fairly inspired bout that kept buzzing, but I felt it didn't reach it's full potential and ended kind of prematurely for a title bout. That doesn't mean that it's wasn't entertaining the time it was in progress. This was one of Inoue better bouts trying to find a way to work through the Kaientai machinery. The challengers did do some damage limiting Togo a bit, but battling Togo & Taka and their experience proved a difficult task which means this wasn't the day for any happy NJPW ending. Yuji Nagata -vs- Togi Makabe - (IWGP Title) [**** 1/4] One of the best matches from Japan in 2006."
