[7.0] "This was a really fun show, and helped bring my itch back to watch old ROH shows. While there was some matches on this show that were only just decent, most of this show was a pretty easy watch. I'll be honest that the Prophecy gimmick was a very intriguing and bold gimmick to do with a company just starting out and finding their feet; especially with selective title matches; I've been finding it very interesting. The last three matches were a hell of a stretch to close out the show."
[6.0] "While a solid show overall, this was one of ROH's weaker efforts in 2002. It doesn't have anything that feels like a MOTYC like many of the other events have. It is a largely consistent show (despite a bit of a dip in the middle), though, with a lot of different styles represented on the show (granted with multiple people pulling double duty it did seem like they had some difficulty filling out the card). The opener is very good, and I really liked the last three matches. I also want to give a shout out to Matt Thompson - I couldn't review his match since he doesn't have a cagematch profile, but he is such an oddity in early ROH. He is tall, skinny kid that's about 6'8 so he's an absolute giant in ROH, and basically all his offence is random high flying. He is very green but he is so unusual that he actually really wins over the crowd. I would have been very curious to see him stick around. That aside, what hurts this card the most is that all the best matches have been done better elsewhere. It leaves this feeling fairly inessential. It's still an entertaining show despite this, however, and one that I believe ROH completionist should enjoy, even if I wouldn't recommend it to everybody."
[7.0] "This show has a problem and it's that the midcard is just a filler. The opener is great with Mark Briscoe joining the Prophecy, but the rest of the card until the last three matches is really bad. I mean, the 10 man scramble match is a disaster, lots of squashes, the ROH chapionship match is mediocre and the Boston Street Masacre is just horrible. The last three matches are great, specially the Main Event. So I recommend only watching the opener and the three last matches, the rest isn't good enough."
[4.0] "This show goes right back to the problems that plagued ROH's early shows. Too much filler and not enough meat. This show has a good main event but also puts their champion in a non-title match in the third match of the night. The scramble match is ridiculous and the tag team street fight is a big let-down. Even Styles/Daniels wasn't as great as expected."
5 Punkte!"
[4.0] "First things first. The show-opening backstage promo with The Prophecy. Samoa Joe absolutely kills it. Daniels is ranting away, Joe is behind him just making faces, shaking his head, having none of it. It's great. Really sells him as purely there for the money. It's great. The 10 man scramble was an enjoyable spotfest. Joe's squash of the RCE was enjoyable for what it is. What's not great? Whoever decided to have the camera on the entrances with an extreme fisheye lens should get fired. Da Hit Squad vs Mamaluke & some kid who is about as green as you've ever seen, a match where Xavier was presumably meant to look strong but failed because nobody knows his opponent. Homicide vs Joe & Style vs Daniels were both matches that will be bettered in the future, & the main event was fine. But the highlight of the show was Joe making faces so that's not a good sign."
Nichts was man in Erinnerung behält.
