There's a few other decent matches matches like the opening scramble and the main event, but nothing that you should go out of your way to see. The rest of this card is either just bad like Maritato vs Mamaluke and the Texas Deathmatch, or highly disappointing like the 3 way elimination match. Overall, this was just a very mediocre and highly skippable show with one extremely good match in Low Ki vs Joe. |

In fact, this show actually took me a few sittings to get through as I didn't find myself fully invested in this at times. My favourite match of the night was the Fight Without Honor between Low-Ki and Samoa Joe. Jay Briscoe vs Xavier was very good, and a bit of a hidden gem. I've only seen them two or three times but I don't like the Special K gimmick or so far really care for the guys in it. I was very happy to finally see Steve Corino wrestle in ROH here. Worst match was easily Prince Nana vs Elax; I don't care to see squash matched in early ROH. A good show but not one that feels must watch. |

There was great variety across the card, but a lot of the matches didn't really live up to their potential, including some of the bigger matches on the card like London vs. Spanky vs. Shane. The highlight of this show is easily Joe vs. Low Ki, which is a fantastic fight and leagues above anything else on the card. Hidaka vs Red was a fun match as well, and a couple of the other matches are solid, but overall this show was a bit of a disappointment even if it did have its high points. ROH fans need to make sure they watch Joe's classic debut match against Low Ki, but you aren't missing much if you don't bother with the rest. |

But the rest of the card was also good, for example the opener or Red vs Idaka were fun spotfests, and Jay Briscoe vs Xavier was a good match. I recommend watching all the show, but specially those matches i've said, because it's really fun. |

Truth be told, a lot of the matches were very good or at least solid. The main event between Doug Williams and Christopher Daniels was just a straight up good wrestling match. The three way was decent, even if Paul London dropped himself on his head like 3 times trying to do his 'dropsault'. Only drawbacks are York and Matthews being wasted in a feud with the CSC, and the amount of Saito suplexes in this show crossed into the ridiculous after the 20th one I saw. |

Klar, damals wusste wahrscheinlich niemand was uns da für zukünftige Schlachten auf uns warten würden, jedoch war das hier der Beginn der legendären Fehde. Samoa Joe debütiert in einem wirklich guten Match gegen den ehemaligen Champion Low Ki, Hidaka traf noch auf Amazing Red in einem soliden Kampf und im Hauptkampf gab's ein etwas hinter den Erwartung liegenden Kampf zwischen Daniels und Williams. Runde Show mit zu vielen Matches! |

Amazing Red nearly breaks Ikuto Hidaka's nose in a terrific undercard bout as well. Xavier looks weak by losing a non-title match so soon after his title victory but it would lead to a win over Jay and a good match at a future show. |

Shane vs Spanky vs London was solid, though London is a botch machine at this point. Low-Ki vs Joe was what you'd want from those guys at this point in time, a great way to introduce Joe to Ring of Honor. They also did a great version of the much overused "two guys just trading strikes without bothering to block them" where they actually built up to it a little, it just felt more justified and less like a spot and more natural. Also helped by it leading to the finish. I'm bumping the shows score up a whole point for that match. |

Mit Joe vs Ki, Red vs Hidaka und dem Three Way Dance hat man dennoch 3 sehr starke Match und mit Daniels vs Williams, Briscoe vs Xavier und dem Scramble Match auch noch 3 sehr ordentliche und 3 annehmbare Matches mit Backseat Boyz vs Corino/Cide dem Street Fight und Corino vs Gonzales. Den Rest hätte man sich dann lieber geschenkt und die Zeit an den leider zu kurzen Main Event gehängt. Mit einigem starken Wrestling bleibt es insgesamt dennoch eine gute Show. |

Direkt nach dem Sieg kommen die Backseat Boyz und Corino teamt mit Homicide. Wäre nicht der Turn gegen Homicide von Corino könnte man das Match getrost vergessen. Vergessen auf jeden Fall kann mann das 6 Personen Tag Match. Es folgt eine nette Promo von Maritato mit einem guten Match anschließend gegen Mamaluke um das FBI Gimmick. Red und Hidaka zeigen dann ein schnelles, spottiges Match was die Crowd gut unterhält und auch mir zu gefallen wußte. Eddie gegen Juan kann man dann getrost wieder vergessen. Corino gegen Rudy Boy ist auch kein wirklicher Kracher aber der Senton von London gegen Shane nach draußen sieht schon recht krass aus. Ki und schlägt Joe in einem guten Match. Joe ist noch weit enfernt von seinem baldigen Superstarstatus aber das Match kracht schon richtig rein. Nana gegen Elax ist Schrott. Briscoe schlägt den ROH Champion. Match war kurz aber wußte durchaus zu unterhalten. Ein netter Streetfight zwischen der Carnage Crew und der Hit Squad durch die Zuschauer. Das Elimination Match und der Main Event runden die Show gut ab obwohl ich mir von beiden Matches doch mehr versprochen hätte. MotN: Low Ki vs. Samoa Joe |

Amazing Red vs. Hidaka war einfach High Action Wrestling auf oberem Niveau. Der Fight Without Honor war dagegen ein krasses Gegenteil mit stiffen Aktionen ohne Ende und einem Knockout Finish. Einfach Klasse. Der Champion verliert sein erstes Match als Champ, mehr sag ich nicht. Der Three Way war auch noch Klasse, und vom Main Event hätte ich mir ehrlich gesagt mehr erwartet. Alles in allem trotzdem eine klasse Show, 8 Punkte. |
