| 1 | 05.09.2026 | Nevermore42 | 7.0 | This card was pretty weak until the main event, but the insane idea of cramming 9 other matches into the first hour and a half paid off for them, as nothing really overstayed its welcome. The show kicked off with a pretty average match between Tony Mamaluke and Jeremy Lopez that was my introduction to Lopez. Christian York and Joey Matthews then squashed Jacob Ladder and Prince Nana to set up the requisite homophobia for these early ROH shows. Bio-Hazard and Michael Shane then picked up the win in a complicated and poorly wrestled match against Don Juan and Paul London. There was a stipulation about the winner getting a contract, but it kinda sounds like that's not happening, so I don't know. Da Hit Squad had a short match with Divine Storm that didn't have any obvious problems. James Mauritato beat Jay Briscoe in the next phase of the odd Briscoe brothers feud, where Mark can't actually legally do anything. The Natural Born Sinners beat The Carnage Crew in a shockingly violent and entertaining Bunkhouse Match. AJ Styles defended his TNA X-Division Title in a quite good Elimination Match against Adam Jacobs and David Young. At this point the show enters editing hell, as there's supposedly a match between Dunn, Marcos, and Mike Tobin and Black Gordman Jr., Brian XL, and Dixie, but all we see is some big guy beating up Dunn and Marcos. The terrible editing continues as Scoot Andrews and Xavier have a match that's edited like a highlights package, and not a very good one at that. Finally, we get the 60-Minute Iron Man Match for the newly formed ROH Title between Low Ki, Spanky, Doug Williams, and Christopher Daniels that manages to be the match of the night, something that's essential for such a long match. |

It's a one match show, but that match goes 60 minutes, so it weights in more in the overall score. The undercard is mediocre but brief enough to be tolerable and the main event is worth the wait |

Unfortunately the first 40+ minutes of the event are pretty rough viewing. There are a couple solid bouts after that, but nothing 'must see' by any stretch of the imagination. The main event, however, is strong enough to carry the entire show, and it goes without saying that it is an extremely significant event in the history of ROH. Low-Ki's post-match interview was another highlight for me, and really elevated the importance of the moment and the promotion as a whole. The event is 'must see' for ROH fans for obvious reasons, but if you choose to start watching from Maritato-Briscoe I certainly wouldn't blame you. |

Some solid matches throughout the show; this was generally a solid show with a few weak points. Da Hit Squad match was finally available on this show, and it was about what I expected; which was meh. There was some pretty good angles on this show; Daniels and Spanky continue to stand out for great character work in this startup promotion. I would recommend giving this show a watch since they do crown their first ROH World Champion on this night. |

Wirklich was reißen tut nur der Main Event, der unfassbar lang geht dabei aber nicht an Würze verliert. 18 Jahre später die Show nochmal zu schauen ist wirklich nicht einfach zu bewerten, weil vieles nicht so gut gealtert ist wie man es im Kopf hatte. Das Bunkhouse Match gefiel dann als gelungener Kontrast zum Rest der Show, wo mich die Christopher Street Connection weiter abnervt. |

Ist doch immer wieder interessant zu sehen wie sdie meisten hier noch mehr in ihren Anfangszeiten bei ROH waren. Der Main Event natürlich ein All Time ROH Klassiker (****1/2) zu dem mehr im Guide. Ansonst waren auch James Maritato vs Jay Briscoe (***1/4) und das Three Way Elimination Match for the NWA/TNA X Championship. Mein Highlight hier Styles Clash von AJ an Adam Jacobs vom Top Rope (***1/4), Die restlichen Matches gingen von DUD bis solide. Ein ROH Event der ROH Geschichte schrieb. Hier gab es den ersten ROH Champion zu sehen. |

Dadurch auch ein ordentliches Event. |

Da das Match aber meiner Meinung nach in sich nicht so stark war, wie der Three Way (und nicht so dermaßend wegweisend), und da es mit Briscoe/Maritato auch nur ein weiteres Match gab, das vernünftigen Ansprüchen genügte, gibt es hier diesmal eine 2(-). Wäre es im Main Event nicht um das Gold gegangen, wäre es vermutlich nur eine 3(+) geworden. |
