1 | 07.12.2017 | PUNQ | 6.0 | The NJPW juniors deliver. The final might not have been as good as 2006 MOTYC between Tiger Mask and Minoru, but it was still good. Plus there's Liger in a good mood! Milano Collection AT -vs- Wataru Inoue - (BOSJ '07 - Final) [***] The first BOSJ final for both guys. Inoue opened more cocky then Milano. It's not often someone out-punk the Italian made man. But Milano was soon enough in the boss role rolling Inoue up in a ball or any other way he wanted Inoue. I just love that ball of sleep Milano does! It was fully a Milano match with those stylistic twists and turns with Inoue struggling to follow up half the time. Inoue did land his modified leg-hook suplex high down from the turnbuckle and lock his Triangle Lancer to create some momentum for himself, but Milano would answer back with a harder and more stylish move of his own. Milano even taunted Inoue by doing the Triangle Lancer on him! The end made for a fine little climax ending the tournament on a good note Takashi Iizuka & Mitsuhide Hirasawa -vs- Takashi Uwano & Taichi Ishikari [* 1/4], Gedo & BxB Hulk -vs- Yujiro & Tetsuya Naito [* 3/4], Tiger Mask & Minoru & Ryusuke Taguchi -vs- Jushin Liger & Koji Kanemoto & El Samurai [** 1/2] Liger in his old red/white costume! The NJPW junior division is so much more fun without the faction thing. Here they mix it up again like they did on the 35th anniversary show on March 6th and he get a much more inspired affair then what we're used to on regular shows. |
