[7.0] "Event #20 for PWG was the second straight good show they put on, and also one that I think is worth watching pretty much the whole way through. It is definitely in the upper-tier of early PWG events. The debuts of El Generico and Kevin Steen are notable, as well as the debut of Jack Evans and the Super Dragon PWG Title victory. Personally, this feels like the first step PWG took towards becoming the "Super Indie" promotion that most know it as, and not just the local, SoCal promotion."
[6.0] "On title alone, this is the best PWG show. In execution, it is not, but it does have the first PWG encounter of Steen and Generico, a feud and partnership that lasts to this day and which main evented Wrestlemania last year, where the two wore gear to shout out their time at this tiny California indie that ultimately changed the wrestling world."
[5.0] "This show promised a lot on paper, but the delivery was lackluster. First, the undercard matches were marred by audio problem and floundered, even though the commentators were keeping things moving and the Pitbulls vs Apollo/Hook technical clash still offered value. But then, what should have been the biggest title match they had yet simply petered out. Frankie/Dragon was long, slow, and did not showcase Super Dragon with the importance he would have in the near future. As for the main matches, Daniels carried Evans to a decent contest, as did Danielson with Lost, even though both match end up just fine, not more. But the redeeming value reside in the debut of El Generico and Kevin Steen. They offer a short, spirited, all-out contest that made the crowd instantly fall in love and got them well-deserve permanent spots on the roster. This gem saves the show from mediocrity, but it still ends up Under Par for PWG."
