[7.0] "Best episode so far, as the ten man match was the highlight of the night. For a battle royal, that one was fun as well. The main event was kind of bland."

[7.0] "The matches were alright but not great but the story carried this show. The intrigue for what the unique opportunity was, was really well done."

[7.0] "A very cool way to use twenty wrestlers in one show, showed off the majority of the roster in a meaningful way"

[7.0] "This was easily the most consistent episode, so far. The story lines they've been building are starting to pay off, making for a more enjoyable viewing experience. The Ten Way Match between Fenix, Big Ryck, Drago, El Mariachi Loco, King Cuerno, Mascarita Sagrada, Pentagon, Jr., Prince Puma, Son of Havoc, and Super Fly was the match of the night, and one of the best overall, so far. The Battle Royal was well above average, and really boosted Johnny Mundo despite his loss. Finally, Mil Muertes and Fenix had a good match despite both of them being on their second match of the night."

[8.0] "The most wrestling focused episode so far in the season. Show starts off with a crazy 10 man match where everyone gets a few moments to shine. Ryck does a bunch of power moves and has some funny interactions with Mascarita, Son of Havoc shows some personality, and we get a bunch of really good nearfalls back to back. Very much a spot fest but really fun opener that Fenix wins (8/10) Next there's a short backstage segment to show some tension between Puma and Konnan and we immediately go to the second match. A 10 man battle royale that starts off fairly average but gets going once the less important wrsetlers are out. Johnny is playing the underdog, avoiding elimination by the skin of his teeth multiple times, while Mil Muertes is being the unstoppable monster. Chavo also gets some time to shine specially once its down to final three. Muertes wins in a fairly good bout (7/10) Dario sets up Aztec Warfare for the next episode and both winners return to see who's number 20 and whos number 1. The main event is short but sweet. A lot of good highflying by Fenix and a strong showing from Muertes. Made sense in story and was a nice closer (7/10)"

[6.0] "The matches after the opener weren't very interesting to me, but the opener was really good and the story has me intrigued for next week which made it a decent episode in my opinion. [MOTN: Big Ryck vs. Drago vs. El Mariachi Loco vs. Fenix vs. King Cuerno vs. Mascarita Sagrada vs. Pentagon Jr. vs. Prince Puma vs. Son Of Havoc vs. Super Fly]"

[7.0] "A solid episode to build in just one show all that is to come in Aztec Warfare. Finally the Lucha Underground Championship is introduced. The storylines take a break here to develop this which looks like it will become the main plot during these next few episodes."

[7.0] "Nice show building up to the Aztec Warfare. The ten way match was excellent, a really fun spotfest in which some wrestlers had the oportunity to shine. Fenix, Puma, Son of Havoc and Big Ryck were the bests. The battle royal was fun, but not as exciting as the first match. And the main event had a logical outcome, even if the match itself was really short and not much interesting. Anyway, a good show to build up the road for the title, I'm invested."

[7.0] "This episode was very much a setup show for next week's Aztec Warfare, but it was very effective in that role. Tight and logical booking with the winners of the scramble and battle royal matches facing off at the end with the winner getting the last entry in the Aztec Warfare match, while the loser is stuck with the first entry (and, naturally, the already-imposing villain ends up getting the advantageous spot while the plucky babyface ends up with the uphill battle). In terms of match quality, the ten-man scramble was the best of the night, with lots of exciting spots that managed to tell a cohesive story leading to Fenix' win - actually rather impressive for a match with that many people involved. The battle royal was fine and the main event was short and didn't allow for them to go all out, but was effective in its plot of exhausted babyface vs. supernaturally-powerful heel and filled its role as setup for next week's match."

[8.0] "Great show. The opening ten man match was MOTN. All of the Luchadors in it were great and all had their great spots. Mascarita really impressed me in this match. Second 10 man was good as well. I wish Pimpinela wasnt in it as I fealt he never did anything good. Mil was impressive in this match. Last match was pretty good although I didnt like the outcome of it."

[9.0] "I love when an episode really focus in on one thing, and this is a great example of that. The opening match stole the show, of course, but all the matches were above average and built well towards both the final confrontation (a prelude of things to come) and also to the upcoming introduction of the title. Gotta love LU!"
Evan Callaway wrote on 22.12.2014:
[6.0] "The first match was just surreal. Probably it was the best 8+ men match I've ever seen in my entire life. The second battle royal was just OK and the Main Event wasn't that bad. But now I'm excited with the new championship. It means that we will have a lot of Lucha Underground yet to come. This company has the best product in matters of wrestling these days."
