[5.0] "This is a really solid card, in that there's really only one poorly booked/lame match, and even in that one, you still get to see The Undertaker's presence and an amazing live-organ performed entrance. On the other hand, there's also really only one notably excellent match on the whole card, coming in a no-stakes match between Tito Santana and Ric Flair early on, with good ring work and excellent storytelling. Pretty much everything else is just in the pretty good to good range. Is that enough for a house show? Sure, but didn't this aspire to be something more than that? The main event battle royal, beyond picking the obvious right person and it going over well with the crowd, was average at best, as all battle royals tend to be. Let's be honest, the royal rumble's improvements on the battle royal basically made it an obsolete format at this point. The ring is so crowded at all times that no one can execute actual wrestling moves until the final four or five guys remain. You also don't get the proper ebb and flow of a match or the fun surprise entrance order of the rumble with the battle royal format. It's honestly just a flawed format, and despite the logical booking, this was weak for main event standards. The biggest issue with the show in my mind holding it back is that they didn't bother to do anything with the main title and Hogan was a no-show. Don't get me wrong, Hogan does little for me, but the champion and the potential for the belt to change should be present at every significant televised/taped/PPV type show, in my opinion. One notably weird and interesting thing about this card is that heels won the first five matches in a row, something I had never seen before. Overall, it's an incredibly safe, house show type event that merits an incredibly safe middle of the road rating."

[6.0] "This was a very interesting show to go back and watch, and overall also a solid watch. I wish the audio was better balanced on this show; it was very difficult to hear commentary at times. It was cool getting to see Ric Flair earlier in his WWF run, and him and Tito Santana had the match of the night. The ending Battle Royal was a nice ending to the night. Quite the lineup of talent on this show. I like the Royal Albert Hall as a venue for Wrestling; it has a cozy atmosphere."

[8.0] "Better than the sum of its parts, Battle Royal at the Albert Hall is a fun, crowd pleasing event featuring an outstanding British crowd and entertaining commentary from Heenan and Monsoon. The promos and matches lead into the 20-man battle royal (brimming with stars) at the end, which really helps tie the event together from a storytelling perspective. Lots of good promos here too, especially the ones by Ric Flair and Roddy Piper. Just an easy, entertaining watch that is well paced and tells a story (or stories) from beginning to end. The phenomenal Flair/Santana match is just the icing on the cake."

[8.0] "Had a lot of fun with this show! Flair/Santana was definitely the best match, an awesome bout, and Bossman/Quake was close behind, another great one. The only match I really didn't like was Taker/Duggan, as I usually can't stand Duggan. The main event battle royal was good, wouldn't say great but a fine battle royal with a satisfying winner. Love the venue too!"
