[4.0] "A somewhat disappointing show. There was some good stuff here and there, but there was also a lot of lackluster stuff happening. The main match was Steve Corino -vs- Shinjiro Otani - (AWA Title) [**] - For some reason they decided to cut the main event in half for TV instead of one of the undercard matches that was needlessly long. Judging from what aired it started fairly uninteresting with some clowning around by Corino. He even did a Jumbo Tsuruta jumping knee "Oh! " spot. I guess to pay tribute to a former AWA Champion. Former AWA Champion Nick Bockwinkle was there to observe the match. He teased being a babyface guest when he stopped Corino from hitting Otani with a chair, but then ended up trying to hinder Otani from entering the ring when the referee had his back turned. Bockwinkle went back to being a innocent observer and didn't do anything else for the rest of the match after that. Corino worked on Otani's taped knee which was sold the entire match except for the fired up finish. Best match was Ikuto Hidaka & Osamu Namiguchi -vs- Tatsuhito Takaiwa & Taichi Ishikari [** 1/4] - A okay built match with some nice wrestling here and there. The main turning point came after Hidaka refused to tag out Namiguchi and sent him back to show more fire and beat up Takaiwa, which he did!"
