[7.0] "A much better show than Arrival and finally feels like a proper show with three good matches. The first two matches drag tho and that Rusev shit sucked, but they're counteracted by the rest of the show. The women's title match is especially good. Pretty hyped for the next Takeover."

[7.0] "The final 3 matches are very good, but the show begins with 2 very underwhelming battles, between Adam Rose and Tonga Loa (Ops, Camacho), and The Acsension against Kalisto and Ricardo Rodriguez (that was random at least). Natalya vs. Flair was very special, and probably the match that really sets the ground to the "Divas Revolution". Besides that, nothing must watch, but the main event was very good too."

[6.0] "Solid show. Charlotte Vs. Natalya was the best match, but the last three matches made up for the abysmal first hour."

[6.0] "While it started quite weak, this Takeover got better towards the end. It was satisfying to see the good matches near the end of the card. ***"

[7.0] "The First NXT Takeover is a pretty good short show to rewatch. The first two matches fill a bit like tv filler, but the last three are pretty good segments and presentation are solid all around as with any show form this era of NXT. Match ratings. Adam Rose vs. Camacho (4/10) Ascension vs. Kalisto & El Local (4/10) Sami Zayn vs. Tyler Breeze (7/10) Natalya vs. Charlotte (8/10) Neville vs. Tyson Kidd (7/10)"

[8.0] "The first Takeover was nothing short of awesome! The first two matches were pretty lame to be honest but when we got them out of the way, the card was great. Watched 3 fun matches with an electric takeover crowd."

[5.0] "The first two matches are rather bad, even though Adam Rose and the Ascension had great gimmicks. Things pick up in the second half, with a great women's match between Natalya and Charlotte and two very good men's single matches. The Rusev segment is rather awkward, but a average show when balanced all out."

[8.0] "This was a very enjoyable show. The first two matches on the card were nothing special and felt like they could have been replaced by something better. The last 3 matches were great. Zayn vs Breeze was an amazing match with a few botches towards the end and a bad finish. Charlotte and Natayla had the MOTN with their great submission work. The Main Event proves that Tyson Kidd could have had a great midcard title reign with a great match with Neville another wrestler who had a disappointing main roster run compared to what they did on NXT."

[7.0] "A good show but certainly not at the level that Takeover shows would reach a couple of years after this. The first two matches were fine but nothing matches. The rest of the card was good but all three matches had a very similar formula with matches building slowing before climaxing with good action but nothing mind blowing. Perhaps it would be fair to say that getting somebody like PAC to exchange side headlocks with his opponent is not the best use of his talent and this is a criticism I would have for all three of the top matches here. Good matches but sadly no great ones and this to me is not because of the wrestlers but the way the wrestlers were used and the promotion they were working in."

[6.0] "First two matches were filler but it was quality after that. The Charlotte-Natalya and Zayn-Breeze matches were highlights and the main event was solid. Funniest part was them throwing Vladimir Putins face on the titantron for no reason during Rusevs promo."

[7.0] "Thought this was a much needed step in the right direction compared to Arrival. Last three matches were pretty good, even though the first two matches were quite duds. Everyone in the three matches at the end performed very well and was a lot more entertained than I was with the first NXT PLE."

[6.0] "Had some alright matches, had some pretty poor ones too, I don't know how it is rated this highly, I think the Zayn fight was the best, followed by the main event and then the womens title match. They were all good, but just didn't do anything over the top great, just solid. The first few matches were just not great, and looking at the names it is not a surprise"

[9.0] "The opener was a fine heater for the crowd on a positive note as Adam Rose had a great character that instantly went over with fans. The tag match was decent with an impressive showing from Kalisto. Zayn vs. Breeze was a great sprint with both men dishing out impressive exchanges and wowing the crowd. Breeze winning made sense story wise and Zayn as the underdog is a great notch of storytelling. Charlotte vs. Natalya ruled as heck where both women did the unthinkable and wrestled a masterpiece of a match in a situation where women's wrestling was dead water in WWE. Ric & Bret as managers at ringside added more value as well as the post-match run of emotions within two of the most impactful families of wrestling. The main event was another dose of exceptional wrestling that was a slow burn rather than the women's bout. Both worked extremely well where Tyson being the more impressive one than Neville as the former had a point to prove since being an underrated athlete. Sad to see his career not reaching a height that he wished. Nonetheless, this first installment of the TakeOver series was fantastic and I won't mind re-watching it anytime."

[7.0] "Really smartly structured Takeover, relegating the... least exciting matches to the begining of the card and making then short, allowing the programa to End on a triple combo of Really good matches with the right results and smart and simple booking that early NXT is know for."

[8.0] "Adam Rose and Camacho was an ordinary fight, I will not dwell on it; The fight between Ascension and Kalisto and El Local is short and fast, it's a good fight and it's fun to see Ricardo Rodriguez as a high Flyer; Breeze and Zayn opens the sequence of the great fights of the night, a lot of action and many strikes of impact, in addition to the exciting kickouts, great fight; Natalya and Charlotte were honorable, a beautiful match and a beautiful performance from both fighters; The main event is incredible, Kidd and Neville knew how to deliver a fight that was slow and getting fast with each passing minute;"

[6.0] "The only problem with this TakeOver is that it was not taken too seriously at that time. In comparison with all the shows that came out at the time of 2019, this one looks like an ugly duckling. Although still has a very good matches"

[6.0] "Satisfactory NXT Takeover. The first two matches and Rusev segment are skippable, the last three matches are good, but nothing special."

[8.0] "Really good all round event with the top half mostly delivering well. First half wasn't that long but then that may not have been a bad thing, it allocated more time for the top matches and I think that was a good option. The nothing matches didn't really help or hurt the event in general, they were there for the sake of being there except the opener which got the crowd in good spirits. Tag match wasn't much, Breeze vs Zayn was great, as was the two championship matches. Strong card from NXT here."

[8.0] "Another great NXT show, but similar to Arrival, suffered slightly from a few nothing matches. The last three matches were all great however. Zayn/Breeze and Neville/Kidd were both great bouts (***1/2) and Charlotte/Natalya, at the time, was the best women's match to have ever happened in WWE. Wonderful effort from Natalya in taking a still green Charlotte to a match as good as this, but Charlotte held her own too and showed some promise, and was put over marvelously (****)."

[9.0] "NXT do not have great weekly shows in my opinion, but this special events are one better than the other. 15+ minutes matches, great skills and the fans that love everything they see. I consider this event easy to appreciate thanks to those factors. The undercard is bad and uninteresting, the final three matches are great."

[9.0] "Once you take off the opening match between Rose and Camacho which was ok for what it was meant to be, this was a pretty great show topped off with two title matches that could stand up against any other match that NXT produced that year and quite possibly come out as matches of the year."

[10.0] "NXT Takeover was amazingly brilliant. Sami Zayn vs Tyler Breeze was great and althought it was a bit slobby it was still great. Charlotte and Natalya had one of the greatest matches of 2014. On my second viewing of title nxt title match I thought Neville and Tyson Kidd had a very good match."
