[5.0] "Pretty average show. I thought the two tag title matches were solid but the rest was forgettable. Definitely an underwhelming follow-up to the stellar first COTC."

[7.0] "Not as good as the first Clash, but it would be hard to even match that show. Still, a lot of good matches here and nothing really stinking up the card. They started out fantastically with a very good Windham vs Armstrong match, which warmed the crowd up very nicely. Then it was very refreshing to see Butch and Luke having a very solid bout against always energetic Fantastics, while The Garvins vs The Varsity Club was a decent match, but the camera constantly focusing on Sullivan and Precious irritated me a lot. Koloff vs Perez was a pleasant surprise, as both guys did a great job of mixing the showings of strength with a nicely executed chain wrestling, while the main event used the star power very well, although another DQ finish on this show hurt it a little bit. A decent Clash overall, where the main focus was on selling Flair vs Luger and they did a fine job with putting that angle over."

[4.0] "Wow, those last three months have been really long for Crockett. The promotion looked to be on the up after a great first Clash but since then, we had all the contract balloon payments further drive up the company's debt, the death of syndication as they knew it, along with Dusty's overbooking going into overdrive and nothing making any sense as they start the slow march towards Ted Turner saving their ass. The last reason there results in a terrible Clash #2 and we get the Garvins having more match time than the main event, which sums up my entire confusion as to where the company is going from here."

[8.0] "A good card overall, not quite as good as the first Clash I think but still features some really good stuff. By far the first and last matches were the best, Windham and Brad put on a clinic of just super great fundamental wrestling and if you can't appreciate the spectacle and energy of Dusty and Sting fighting two of the best wrestlers in the world, I can't do much for you."

[6.0] "All matches are reviewed individually if you care to read them. After only hyping the date on the calendar, we are finally here: Clash of the Champions 2! Our hosts are Tony Schiavone and "Velvet" Bob Caudle. Teddy Long is the lone referee. Barry Windham vs Brad Armstrong is the opener and I enjoyed it (8.75). Next is, Ugh the Rock n Roll Express is back? I didn't miss them. The follow-up segment is, oh boy. A colossal waste of time and one of the endless reasons why Crockett ran out of money faster than he made it (and he made alotta money! ). Another segment with Jim Ross meeting The Four Horsemen and especially Ric Flair upon their arrival. For the love of Harley Race please get back to wrestling. FINALLY: The Sheepherders vs The Fantastics, so of course we cut to Jim Ross meeting Lex Luger. Luger is attacked by The Four Horsemen and then ANOTHER COMMERCIAL BREAK. Bloody Hell. Anyway, we finally got to the match and aside from the finish, it was glorious (8.5). Next is an interview with, ugh, Steve Williams, who stumbles over every word ever spoken. Dr. Death sucked and is overrated. The Varsity Club vs Jimmy Garvin & Ron Garvin follows and I pretty much hated it (0.25). Before getting back to ring action, Tony and Bob hype the scaffold match between The Road Warriors and The Powers of Pain, this is the EXACT reason why The Powers of Pain left Crockett. They also hype the Tower of Doom (complete with blueprints, both modern and BWAHAHA... ancient), you could probably guess how craptacular THIS was. I'm a bit flabbergasted by how many BAD ideas were crammed into one show/month and if you want lessons on how NOT to run a wrestling company, we have them in spades tonight. Back to wrestling with Al Perez taking on Nikita Koloff, while that match was inoffensive the non-finish ending hurts it (5.75). Dusty Rhodes & Sting vs Tully Blanchard & Arn Anderson exceeded expectations and despite the non-finish. I enjoyed it (7.25). The average is 6.1 and Clash 1 was by miles the better (and more logical) show. There was too much filler between the first and second matches, the entire Varsity Club/Garvin match and segment (including the hyping of The Tower of Doom) was the s#its but otherwise things are fine here. I say fine but also, disappointing because Clash 1 just demolishes this show."

[5.0] "Pretty mediocre show that definitely did not come close to the level of the first Clash of the Champions. The matches were varying degrees of 'fine' but nothing that stood out all that much, with the Sheepherders vs. The Fantastics being my choice for MOTN. I thought the beatdown on Luger was pretty well executed. Always worthy of note is a comically awful promo from Dr Death. Not a bad show, but not all that interesting either."

[5.0] "While still not a terrible show and more middle of the road, this was a huge jump down in quality when you compare it to the first show just over a couple months earlier. This show peaks for me in match quality with the opening and the in-ring was just generally not as good on this show. Some decent angles; one standing out being the Horsemen attacking Luger as he arrives. I also remember a really bad Dr. Death promo."

[6.0] "Decent enough action in the ring for the era, highlight was the contract signing between Luger and Flair and an utterly great beat down from the Four Horsemen in the car park after"

[5.0] "A big step down from its predecessor, the second Clash was a rather average show with midcard matches, but a solid main event and opener. Overall, a disappointing book judging from its cover."

[6.0] "Definitely not as strong of a showing as the first Clash of Champions, though still not a bad card by any means. There just weren't any especially high highs, though luckily, there also weren't any low lows. We got a nice taste of heel Horseman Barry Windham, the US Tag Team match was a fun and sloppy brawl that highlighted the brutal heels the Sheepherders were capable of before going goofy babyface, the Varsity Club match was fine if over-booked with the Sullivan/. Precious deal, and our last two matches when to DQ finishes, which isn't a great thing on a big card. Still, it's a perfectly fine card for just under two h ours."

[6.0] "Something of a sophomore slump after the excellent first Clash of the Champions, but a solid show nonetheless. Good opener with Windham vs Armstrong, solid tag action with Fantastics vs Sheepherders and Fantastics vs Varsity Club, and a fun star-studded main event. The last two matches ending with DQs is perhaps unsatisfying to modern eyes, but wasn't that uncommon at the time."

[6.0] "Enjoyable event, not on the big scale as the first Clash of Champions but it has good title defenses, Fantastics vs Bushwhackers is a decent tag team match. There a few DQs and a cheap ending."
