[9.0] "I'm extremely biased because this was the first NJPW show I ever saw back in 2014, but I absolutely love it. Lots of good matches in the first half and the show closes out with 4 matches I rate at 4 stars or above in a row."

[9.0] "Well, NJPW made one hell of a statement about how good this tournament could be compared to last year. The first show of the tournament is one of the best wrestling shows of 2014! The second half of the show was as good as any wrestling show I have watched all year, including Wrestlekingdom, with three match of the year candidates along with incredible performances from the likes of Honma and Ishii. There is only one match I consider mediocre and I'm reserving judgement on Yano/Suzuki until the bigger picture unfolds. This is a must watch show and it looks like we are in for one hell of a ride in the G1 this year"

[8.0] "Good show. Nice opener to what has so far been a great G1. I'd say the second half was definitely way better than the first with 4 fantastic matches taking place there."

[9.0] "This was a very stacked show, with an undercard filled with good matches and two great ones to finish it off (though I'm not as high on Honma vs. Tanahashi as others are). This is a must watch and a great way to kick off this year's G1!"
