This was magical, it had a different feeling from everything else I had ever watched and it was beautiful."

[6.0] "Wrestlemania 23 is really a perfect culmination of 2006 into early 2007. The show, just like the entire year prior is just back and forth between high highs and low lows. When it is bad, it is quite bad. When it is good, it is excellent. Taker/Batista steal the show, but the other title matches and the Money in the Bank pull their weight too. The rest of the event is pretty forgettable. Kane/Khali and the Lumberjack match had no business being on the card. Especially when talents who had worked their butts off all year like Helms and Flair are relegated to the pre show. The ECW match also probably was just thrown on to say ECW had a Wrestlemania match. While it certainly isn't a top 5 Wrestlemania for me, and might be on the border of a top 10, it is still a notable and enjoyable event."

[7.0] "(7.3/10) You can blame Kane/KHALI for the mediocre score. Otherwise, we'd be talking about one of Pro-Wrestling's most elite nights (that, unfortunately, had a pair of atrocious matches that most people prefer to ignore). At least, the main-event was as good as you would want a main-event to be, and it put over the face of the company at a time when the world wanted a different face. If this match had happened today (with both performers skilled to their prime abilities), there might've been more people behind Super Cena. But in 2007, fans probably went home unhappy that Cena left Ford Field as champion of WWE. That being said, Cena/HBK ar Manía 23 tends to grow in memory as the years go by."

[9.0] "Great Khali Vs Kane and Melinda Vs Ashley are both terrible, ECW OGs Vs New Breed and Bobby Vs Umaga, despite telling a story of Vince vs Trump were both really bad, but Benoit Vs MVP is solid, the MITB ladder match is brilliant and both Undertaker Vs Batista and John Cena Vs Shawn Michaels were just incredible. Overall (WWE) WrestleMania 23 (2007) is a fantastic show."

Three great matches with a grain of an entertaiment in Vince vs. Trump battle is a solid combination despite a few skippable parts of a show. Not close to the best Wrestlemanias, however it's a good bid in the bush of other 2000s Showcases of The Immortals."

There are matches that either had the wrong setup, or had no business being in this card. My ranking are 8)Melina vs Ashley 7)Kane vs Khali 6)ECW ogs vs new breed 5)Benoit vs MVP 4)Umaga vs lashley 3)cena vs shawn 2)MITB 1)taker vs Batista. The main titles matches and the MITB saved this show and the battle of billionaire was also entertaining."

The MITB ladder match, Undertaker/Batista, and a really underrated Shawn/Cena match. The rest of this card on the otherhand felt like filler, such as Kahlil/Kane and Melina/Ashley. If this show was more consistent I would definitely give it a higher rating but with how the show is it like a good match then 2 bad ones then repeat so I couldn't really recommend this card to anyone"

A couple things could have been better - the ECW Originals vs New Breed outdid their match here a couple days later, and the Battle of the Billionaires aged hilariously in hindsight, but overall, a very good WrestleMania."

[7.0] "The big matches for the world titles definitely delivered and that was the most important thing for me. Taker vs Batista was the match of the night for me with Dave especially impressing me with his monster heel work and Michaels vs Cena was a great main event to end the night, where both guys took the time to pick up the speed, but it eventually paid off. Also Money in the Bank Ladder Match wasn't anything new in that department, but it was still fun to watch, Benoit vs MVP was fine and Bobby vs Umaga was a well put together, pure entertainment. Everything else was basically a bathroom break between the big matches, including Kane vs Khali, 8-Man Tag and women's Lumberjack Match, but none of it went for too long and wasn't particularly horrible, so I didn't mind it. Overall a very good show with a fantastic structure that put a lot of focus on the big matches and they most definitely met the hype."

Both top title matches are awesome and feel monumental and for me personally, the only real dud was Kane/Khali but it wasn't for lack of trying on Kane's part. The ECW match was not too bad it just didn't get enough time to shine and the same can be said but even more so with the women's match. A solid 4 star show and really a sleeper for one of the better Wrestlemania's of all time."

[6.0] "The last WrestleMania before wrestling changed forever. It still gives me the raw feeling of the ruthless aggression era, obviously I won't delve into what happened post WM 23. Decent card, the MITB Ladder match is by far one of, if not THE greatest MITB matches in history. Really fun match, lots of great spots, the Jeff Hardy leg drop to Edge is a WrestleMania moment that'll go down forever. Kane & Khali was pretty much what you expected it to be, if you swapped Kane with HBK the match would still suck because Khali was just very limited in what he could do. Taker/Batista is the match of the night for me, both guys killed it. I feel like this match doesn't get talked about nearly as much as it should, was fantastic from the moment the bell rang. Their match is still my go to match for WM 23 because it's so damn good. The ECW tag match was... eh, best part was the entrances and the monkey flip from RVD to Striker. Lashley/Umaga was actually a good match, the stipulation was a bit bonkers but it added some eyes to the product and Vince getting his head shaved is a classic moment. Melina/Ashley... eh, was at a time where women were divas and just didn't get the proper respect. Ashley was way too green unfortunately, put Melina in there with an experienced wrestler and it would've been a good match. HBK/Cena was good, still feel like HBK should've won that match. Wasn't even the best match they'd have together, I think in a few weeks time they'd have an instant classic on RAW which was miles better than their WM23 match. Overall, decent show... like I said, the last real ruthless aggression WM, had that gritty feeling to it that other WM's since didn't have. Batista/Taker stole the show, HBK/Cena was good, Lashley/Umaga was good, MITB by far one of the very best."

Taker vs Batista is a fantastic match, The money in the bank match is one of the best ever, The battle of the Billionaires is a fun spectacle. There is definitely some bad on this show that has no place on this card but its not long enough or bad enough to sink this event down. Luckily the Main event was brilliant and Mania 23 stuck the landing."

MITB is awesome with plenty of memorable spots, personally I liked it even better than the first 2 (9/10) Khali/Kane is not good at all but its super short at least (2/10) Benoit/MVP is a solid wrestling match but not much more (6/10) Taker/Batista is a really good world title bout (8/10) The ECW tag is short and forgettable (4/10) Hair VS Hair is not as much fun as it should be and it takes a long time to end between match and shenanigans (4/10) The Womens title match barely exists (0/10) Cena/HBK is a good Main event, even great in sections but I felt it was a too long (7/10)"

Umaga was underutilized and should have been a star. Another Cena main event where the winner was never in doubt. Just nothing special at all."

[5.0] "What an odd show. Often things get said as "greater than the sum of it's parts" but this was the total opposite. A strong MITB opener, Benoit/MVP, Taker/Batista and one of the best Mania main events to date should make this an all around great show but after Taker/Batista, this is a fucking struggle. Even the first hour and a bit just feels so off despite how good the matches are. Mr Kennedy winning MITB isn't great in hindsight, Khali/Kane is what you'd expect and Benoit/MVP is a step below some of Benoit's Mania matches. The ECW tag is fine enough and the womens match doesn't go long enough to care about it but the billionaire match goes about 40 god damn minutes. The match itself is okay because Lashley and Umaga did try but all the pre and post-match took forever to get through. The main event really pulls this show back up as it is very very great but the lack of real good stories or interesting build to a lot of these matches left me feeling cold about a lot of it, not to mention 4/8 matches essentially being filler. Not a terrible show, just a bit of a letdown."

[6.0] "I'd compare this show to WrestleMania VIII where two big matches (Bret/Piper and Savage/Flair there, Undertaker/Batista and Cena/HBK here) are working overtime to drag the whole thing up to a decent rating. The world title matches deliver, feeling like huge deals and a nice contrast in styles. Another fun edition of MITB too, as well as a solid US title match in Benoit/MVP. The other half of the card leaves a lot to be desired. Khali/Kane sucks, the ECW match is pretty forgettable, the Women's title is back to being given nothing, and while I credit Vince for having three entertaining WM matches up to this point, he's jumped the shark with this self-obsessed Battle of the Billionaires bullshit that takes up far too much time. This is a badly-paced event that feels so stretched thin, get some more wrestling on your wrestling show, but it does have the main attractions going for it."

[8.0] "One of the better WrestleMania's out there, it's definitely in my top 8. The only thing that drags this down is a few bumpers on the card. Kane vs. Khali is one of the worst matches in WrestleMania history, and the Eight Man Tag alongside the WWE Women's Title Lumberjack Match are weak. That said the shows first half is superior to it's second half, but there is plenty of good in this one. With only 8 matches on the card it feels easier to get through, and opens with one of the best MITB matches with some entertaining spots. The United States Title Match is pretty underrated due to how well Benoit and MVP clicked. The Battle of the Billionaires Match is very overbooked, and isn't a technical marvel but it bought mainstream attention to WWE alongside seeing Vince get his head shaved which is a WrestleMania Moment. The World Heavyweight Title bout between Batista and Undertaker is a great sprint and could say was the best match of the night. But for me John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship is one of the best WrestleMania Main Events, and really makes this show get a high 8 rating by me. The All Grown Up segments are cheesy and sappy, but hey I guess Vince got all sentimental due to being back in the state that hosted WrestleMania 3, which helped elevate the WWE in the late 1980s."

Batista vs Taker was good. Eight man tag was filler. Lashley vs Umaga was one of the most hyped up matches on this show and it was 13 minutes of boring work. Women's match was average and Cena vs HBK was good almost great to me."

[7.0] "I fell asleep when Khali's music hit and woke up when his music hit again at the end. My opinion of this show reflects such. Besides that, pretty much everything was -decent-. I find it funny that Lashley vs Umaga has such negative reviews because, while I am no fan of Trump, the match itself is one of the better ones on the show. This show has probably the best Mania Money in the Bank besides the first one in 2005 which was great. The two world title matches both had that big fight feel that the last two manias were really lacking, which is definitely awesome. The matches themselves, a little overhyped IMO but still good. How dare WWE put Mickie James as a lumberjack instead of in a match, she won the belt last year at Mania! Whatever, this show is decent. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, but it wasn't a bad watch at all. I'd say the structure helps this show alot, making it better than the sum of it's parts. Thumbs somewhat up"

Outside of a couple of storylines, WWE's booking was phenomenal in early 2007 but really hit a wall around May. But along with those two matches, the MITB is great, MVP/Benoit is pretty good and the hair vs hair match is a solid spectacle. I think Lashley and Umaga had underrated chemistry."

[10.0] "This was another excellent Wrestlemania. like 22, there were tons of excellent matches and few bad ones. The were lots of new faces like Mr Kennedy, CM Punk, The Great Khali, MVP, The New Breed, Sandman, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, and Umaga. There were some decent segments like the dancing segment which was kinda funny and the the Trump and Boogeyman segment. The opening match was fantastic with loads of excellent spots and great action from everyone with everyone getting a chance to shine. Some standouts for me were Jeff Hardy, Edge, Finlay, and Mr Kennedy. That was the second best match on the show. They went from a great match to a pretty terrible one in Great Khali vs Kane. Benoit vs MVP wasn't too special but it was a pretty good title match. Undertaker vs Batista was excellent and was Undertaker's best WM match to this point. The Eight man tag match was pretty fun and was cool seeing so many faces that you don't see often. Marcus Cor Von and Matt Striker impressed me from the New Breed and RVD was best on the originals. Lashley vs Umaga was pretty great and worth a watch. It was a lot of fun and there was some drama in there. Lashley and Umaga both looked good and the match actually seemed huge and felt like a main event match. It was cool to see Trump get involved. Shane hitting the Coast to Coast was pretty cool too. Melina vs Ashley was the worst match on the show. The main event was match of the night and was an excellent classic put on by the two and was Cena's best match at WM up to that point."

[5.0] "Overall, for a Wrestlemania, this one wasn't great. The Money in the Bank ladder match was pretty good, entertaining at least. Benoit v MVP, in what would be Benoit's last Wrestlemania match, was a fine match as well. MVP was made to look great by Benoit I thought. Batista v Undertaker was a very good world title match as well; though, considering the other matches on the card, I felt this one was way too low on the card. I also enjoyed Cena v Shawn Michaels. HBK was excellent as he always is, and Cena was fine. Aside from those four matches, I didn't much care for the rest. Kane v Khali wasn't great; it's obvious that Khali was very inexperienced and couldn't really go. The ECW eight man tag match was rather forgettable; it seemed as though RVD was the only member of the ECW originals who could still go, and the New Breed was pretty underwhelming. The hair vs hair match was kind of a joke. Umaga v Lashley wasn't all that terrible as a match, and I always love seeing Stone Cold, but Trump's involvement made the whole thing a bit of a farce. There isn't much to say about the women's title match, the Divas weren't given much thought or substance back in these days. I'm just surprised by how high it was on the card. Overall, I felt this was a below average event with certain matches that would've been better off on another show."
