[4.0] "Not a explosive start to this years tournament, but a few points was made for potential future angles. Satoshi Kojima -vs- Tajiri - (CC '07 - Block B) [* 1/2] Slow match. But the main important part was that Tajiri did some good damage to Kojima's lariat arm and that's going to make it tough for Kojima the rest of the tournament. Taiyo Kea -vs- Kohei Suwama - (CC '07 - Block A) [* 3/4] A long and slow heavyweight battle between two foes of last year. Kea did his Giant Baba wrestling while Suwama did his sluggish fighting and ankle holds. Some of this was okay, but at the same time this wasn't anything special. Minoru Suzuki -vs- RO'Z - (CC '07 - Block B) [* 1/2] Short and almost sweet. RO'Z started strong keeping the Triple Crown Champion down with old school brawling and even using part of the railing to press his face in. And that impact DDT with Suzuki hanging from the ropes was nice as well. The real highlight for me was Suzuki managing to Gotch piledrive Rosey. Now, that was impressive! Keiji Muto -vs- Toru Owashi - (CC '07 - Block A) [**] Not one of those stylistic pretty matches. Muto is Muto. Moving around isn't easy for him these days, but he works well around those horrid knees and Owashi is this lump of meat who can be both clumsy and awesome all at the same time. It got quite entertaining in parts, but with these guys limits it wasn't taking off to huge heights. But still better then feared with Muto on a murdering streak."
