[8.0] "Another fantastic show from Zero-One. Brutal, heated, old school wrestling! Kazunari Murakami & Yuki Ishikawa -vs- Wataru Sakata & Hirotaka Yokoi [* 3/4], Kamikaze -vs- Gha-cha-ping [1/2*] The very green looking Gha-cha-ping (WALTER) isn't getting much TV time on these Z-1 shows, but he looked a little better here then on the January show. His wrestling is still a bit too much on basic side. He's young so that's a given. Yoshito Sasaki & Osamu Namiguchi -vs- Daisuke Sekimoto & Shota Takanishi [***], Ryuji Sai (c) -vs- Mammoth Sasaki - (NWA United National Title) [** 3/4], Tatsuhito Takaiwa -vs- Ikuto Hidaka - (GHC Junior Title vs AWA Junior Title) [*** 1/2] Seriously! What's wrong with Takaiwa! He's a crazy MoFo who just loves to drop people on their necks! The first 10-minutes was mainly working in holds and was more just to fill out the time then anything they'd follow up later. Except for Hidaka's legwork coming into play for the Shawn Capture submissions which was one of Hidaka's main moments. But apart from that this was all about Takaiwa being faceless old school nasty bastard who does all he can to murder his opponent with powerbombs, lariats and Death Valleys. The sick stuff he tried included a DVB off the second rope and a insane straight down Michinoku Driver II. He even wanted to powerbomb Hidaka off the apron, but that one was countered into a DDT from Hidaka. While most of the climax was Hidaka getting slaughtered he did get in a series of nice cradles before his time was ticking out. Because once Takaiwa started landing a series of logging lariats to his throat the end was near. And while he kicked out of those Takaiwa had to come up with something even more crazy - a belly-to-belly piledriver from a vertical suplex position! Ta-ta Hidaka. And that made Takaiwa the new AWA Junior Champion while he also kept the NOAH based GHC Junior belt. And after that near murder they hugged! Takao Omori & Shinjiro Otani -vs- Yoshihiro Takayama & Kohei Sato [*** 1/4]"
