Then unfortunately they did Cena and Orton for the billionth time and the crowd didnt give AF and the Rumble match where Punk wrestled fucked up before we got the terrible Batista win. One match show"

[4.0] "It's hard to really like WWE Royal Rumble (2014). It kicked off with a really fantastic Bryan vs Wyatt match and the rest of the in ring product isn't really that bad as most would say but the crowd was showing their hate over Bryan not being in the rumble match way before it even happened and they almost booed the whole show out the roof with Brock squashing Big Show, Cena and Orton wrestling for the umpteenth time and the final stretch of the rumble match itself was just torture. Overall WWE Royal Rumble (2014) is weak show thanks to the crowd reception."

[6.0] "This show does a few things right, a decent Orton vs Cena, a decent Lesnar segment that probably should've been against someone else and a fantastic opener with Bryan and Bray. And as much as I love the match, it should've been Bryan in the rumble. 5.75/10"

"It's hard to believe that it has been almost 10 years since this happened. I was not expecting this to be CM Punks last show before his hiatus. Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt Match was really good and I wish Brock Lesnar and Big Show had wrestled longer. They are both some of my favorite wrestlers. It was nice to see Batista back but maybe they shouldn't have let him win the Rumble match. This is my least favorite Royal Rumble. But I haven't seen all of them."

[5.0] "Royal Rumble 2014 is an event with particularly slow matches and a very disappointed audience for the most of the time, which is saved only by the opener (Bray Wyatt Vs Daniel Bryan) and by the performance of a very small number of wrestlers present in the Rumble match."

[4.0] "This show has its moments but a majority of them are bad. Bray Wyatt vs Daniel Bryan was a great opener and I loved the storytelling. Wished Bryan won but, he's an underdog so ah well. (****) Big Show vs Brock Lesnar was a forgettable squash match just so it can make Brock look dominant. (DUD) John Cena vs Randy Orton was bland and unexciting. I heard that the match copied some house shows and if the rumors are true then I wouldn't be surprised. (**) The Royal Rumble match was average but, had more bad moments than good ones. Like the crowd going in tantrum mode when Daniel Bryan wasn't in the match and booed the hell out of Rey Mysterio. Or how about Batista winning the damn thing while the crowd cheered for Roman Reigns. (**3/4) Not the worst PPV but, one of the weakest Royal Rumbles."

[3.0] "Very bad PPV the opening match is a classic, the Orton vs Cena match was boring and the feud was stale, Brock decimated the big show in a very short match and the Royal Rumble was very very dissapointing"

Brock vs Show was bad but build up was good. Orton Vs Cena was okay. Rumble was decent. I feel the only reason people hate this show is because Bryan wasnt in Rumble. 6/10."

[3.0] "Out of all the PPVs I've seen in 2014 Royal Rumble 2014 is the worst. Daniel Bryan vs Bray Wyatt was the best thing that happen at it. It was an incredible match. After that everything went downhill. Lesnar vs Big Show was a waste of time. Cena vs Orton was unbearable to watch mainly because of the crowd but also it just wasn't a great match. The Royal Rumble was good until it reached to 30 entry and a disappointed crowd basically crapped all over. It could've been a good royal rumble but it's hard to enjoy a match when people are constanly booing just because 1 wrestler was in it. The crowd was a major reason why Royal Rumble 2014 bombed"

[5.0] "This card is really hard to rate overall. Bray and Bryan set the bar high maybe too high. This strong match had the crowd and the home viewers hopeful that the entire night would build on this quality. Big Show vs Brock wasnt really a match. It had high energy and intensity. I don't think it hurt the overall chances of the card to be great. Then Orton vs Cena happened. Who can you blame for this? This match has been over booked and over saturated. The crowd made it interesting and said what we were all thinking. Then the Rumble match. I don't feel like I can be mad about Batista winning. It was inevitable. I at least hoped it could be entertaining along the way. The highlights to me were Cesaro's swing, Koffi's spot, El Torito... Lowlights Kane being in the camera shot on his way to hide under the ring, JBL, Nash, Batista. Overall it lacked drama and quality suprise entrants. I guess all of that averages out to a bit worse than average."

[5.0] "This PPV was a huge letdown to me. Bray Wyatt and Daniel Brian started the show with a great match, certainly a 4 star outing. Everything else was a letdown, Lesnar/Show was a waste of time, it should have been switched with the Kickoff match. Orton/Cena was the same match that they have been having for years now. Wasn't bad, just same 'ol thing that if it wasn't for the crowd I think it could have just been a replay of some of their other matches. The Rumble it's self was terrible. The special legends involved (Nash/JBL) just feel flat, and Batista winning was ruined by the weeks of WWE building him up. Would have been ok if it was a surprise he was returning. Roman Reigns great outing was tarnished to me, even though he set the record for most eliminations two of those were El Torito and JBL, who did nothing. Kane still has the best Rumble showing of all time to me back in '01. Kofi did his usual unique elimination saves, and I'm still confused as to what happened to Xavier Woods, he was advertised to be in it, guess El Torito was more important. Nice to see Rusev debut on the main roster. Ok rating of 5 of 10."

Wyatt/Bryan holds the early lead for Match of the Year, and the Rumble itself was entertaining throughout, with Kofi's impressive reentry, Roman Reigns' dominance, Punk's ironman effort and Zeb's blatantly racist signs all being highlights."

[8.0] "Great show. Bray Bryan was amazing, Lesnar Show was a super effective segment, Cena Orton maybe had their best match, Rumble was good featuring young talent that looked good, and one sorta logical finish. How can I complain? and then we have the reactions... that made the whole show even better!"
Dane Bramage wrote on 27.01.2014:
[4.0] "An underwhelming show all round. The opener was decent, but big Show-Lesnar was a waste of time. Orton-Cena was poor, Cena and Orton are both so experienced they should be able to adapt better to a crowd that is against them. The Rumble was fine with a few neat spots, but there was a lack of any real excitement, and the crowd hated the finish. At least Roman Reigns looked strong."
Nazirul Takashi wrote on 27.01.2014:
[2.0] "Bray vs Bryan is easily the match of the night. Show vs Lesnar was a letdown (can't blame them. Show's injured) while Cena vs Orton was same old shit. And the Rumble Match... My God! I've never seen a crowd turning their backs on almost EVERYONE after Bryan didn't show up during the match. Oh and well done WWE for crowning the worst Royal Rumble Winner ever since Del Rio in 2011! 2 Points are the best that I could give for this show..."

HammertonWay wrote on 27.01.2014:
[2.0] "From a strong start between Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt ended with a massive disappointment. I wanted to see Brock Lesnar and Big Show go at it like it was 2003, instead we got a cheap finish to a very short match. Randy Orton against John Cena added nothing to the PPV, feeling like a very forced match that reused a storyline from 2007 that wasn't needed. It was only the chants from the Pittsburgh attendees that made it entertaining, but not in a good way. The Royal Rumble match itself had a good start, but as it was counting down to the number 30 spot, it was obvious that the fans wanted Daniel Bryan to come out. We got Rey Mysterio. The Orton/Cena boos were one thing, but the boos in the Rumble match were a WHOLE different level. I like Batista, but he shouldn't have won the match. The people who main event Wrestlemania need to deserve it, and in the fans eyes, it was Daniel Bryan who deserved it."
