You could also tell he's a DDT guy from how versatile his style is, being able to work a stiff puroresu main event as well as a ridiculous comedy style match. One of a kind."

However, once his excursion is over, he really needs to step it up in Japan. He has a lot of talent, he just needs to find a place to really let it shine."

Makai Club wrote on 24.05.2018:
[9.0] "Admittedly I haven't watched much Irie matches as I would like because I've only really started to watch DDT full time but everything I watched of him as been great. I did love his recent Takeshita match, even if I went low of the rating due to the lack of heel work by Irie although he was still fantastic. Loved his Tag Team match with Higuchi against HARISHMA/Marufuji last year. He is a big, stiff nasty brute and that's fucking awesome."

[8.0] "One the most charismatic and consistent performers in DDT in recent years. As with the best DDT workers, Irie is equally comfortable in comedic or serious matches. Kind of a goofy, green-haired Ishii, as he's a legit powerhouse, yet also a master of making the audience see him as a perpetual underdog."
