Finn Balor

[9.0] "Finn Balor is a solid worker with excellent in-ring skills and decent mic work. He can tell a story in the ring and deliver consistently strong matches. The only thing holding him back is being stuck in Judgment Day; he needs a proper singles run to showcase his full potential. He's also a tough competitor who finishes every match no matter how hurt he is, showing incredible resilience and heart. With the right booking, he could easily become a top star and main event regularly."

[3.0] "I missed old Finn since he created Judgment he is terrible i mean he put a few dood matches since Judgment day created(2022) he lost him potantial so bad the demon is done and the new Finn balor is only playing games at pkaystation like only thing he can do is cutting promos at this time he dont even put effort in him matches and his win loss record was fall down since 2022 I hope we will never seen Finn Balors this role ever again he is changed so badly almost every fan of Finn balor missed "the demon" but i think he lost him all potantial because he dont put effort on his matches and he always played games instead of harkwoking or training"

[5.0] "I just find him boring. I've never been sold on any of his matches going into them. He can't draw because he's not interesting. The best role for him is the good worker who is a sidekick to a more charismatic performer. He is the guy who should bump around for the charismatic baby face while the baby face chases after his more charismatic heel ally/stable mate."

[8.0] "A profoundly sound technical wrestler whom isn't getting the run he deserves in WWE right now. He isn't the world's best actor but he makes up for this in spades in-ring. He carries JD McDonaugh to an excellent tag team."

[10.0] "Prince Devitt, the founder of the BULLET CLUB, and the inaugural Universal Champion. Its tragic, he could not even have a title reign and had to relinquish the title the day after he won it.... and that happened in 2016, its been a decade since he was at the top and he never reached that level again. Finn's aura is through the roof when he's feeling himself. One of the most gifted athletes in-ring with a complete move set. He's proved himself all across the world, in Europe, in Japan and in the USA. Finn Balor, to me, is a bonified legend. I'm a real fan, man. Wish he could truly have a dominant run as the world champion again in the WWE."

[10.0] "I think Finn Balor/Prince Devitt is very unique. I totally understand the people that don't like him. However, for a lot of people interested in everything he did like myself, Balor is wonderful. I couldn't explain why but he is so good, and it feels special to watch him. His work on the indies and in NJPW is obviously brilliant, with great matches. Even if his career didn't evolve the way we expected in WWE, he still managed to look good. Finn Balor is special."

First in the UK, then in Japan and now in America, he has left a great career in each of these places and is undoubtedly one of the best and most influential wrestlers of this generation of pro wrestling."

[6.0] "A good to solid Jr (especially if he got a capable opponent able to rein him into working a more structured match) but everything post-NJPW has been mediocre. The man hasn't got the size (listed as 5'11, but in actuality he's the same as AJ, 5'9) or the mic skills to really get beyond the upper mid-card and that's before taking a bad streak of injuries into account. Similarly the biggest issue beyond those is simple: he doesn't have the intangibles required to be a leading face or heel of any major title, no gimmick to grasp onto, no pull-factor to him. When he's a face he's a generic face, when he's a heel he's a generic heel. The lad has no depth either match-wise, either it's a babyface match (flips, spots, big shine moments) or it's a heel match (slow, lumbering hold work, more grounded) there's no versatility. This is not to say he can't or hasn't had great matches, but typically it's at the expense of the other person's floor to get him there than his own input. He feels hollow most of the time watching him doing his thing otherwise. Consistent at what he does? Yes. Very athletically inclined? For sure. He just clearly always has had a very low ceiling that has gotten progressively lower over the years. I think a good example of my point is him as "The Demon" (spooky! ) where he has this incredible entrance and getup as this unstoppable persona, a being beyond mortal constraints, Balor at his most brutal....wrestles exactly the same as he does regularly with a couple extra moments mean-mugging the camera. There's just a critical lack of self-awareness there that is too big to ignore."

[10.0] "Talk about a guy who deserved so much more. In recent discussions about the NXT call-ups we have a lot of examples on how the regime of WWE's MR killed the momentum of a lot of guys and girls who deserved much more: Athena, PAC, Keith Lee, Ricochet, Bobby Roode and the list goes on. But in my opinion Finn is the worst case of them all. He was in the first round of the Draft, beated Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins for the debuting Universal Champion and after his injury, WWE never went with the push that he deserved. Forgettable reigns with the IC and US championships just took his momentum, but his 2 runs in NXT were just epic (he is in my Mount Rushmore of the brand). When Triple H took over I expected that Balor could receive a push in 2023, after all Balor was the de facto leader of JD (who were hot in the middle of 2023) and Seth Rollins was the WHC so I was prepared for the biggest full circle moment in WWE. Then, it didn't happened. I always ask myself if was a failed creative or some backstage politics, because didn't made sense, now I understand that Damian Priest was slated all along, but in my conception Balor could have been champion and the rivalry with Priest culminated in a Wrestlemania match. Balor is not getting any younger and I think we'll never going to see him as a world champion again, after all people just want bad wrestlers like Uso and Kross. Ps: his NJPW run is just stuff of legends and in some way if WWE has competition today, thanks this guy for founding Bullet Club."

[9.0] "i will not let the recent years of his career tarnish his legacy just because of the worst booking i've seen for a superstar such as he is, he's an all-timer, he is Prince Devitt and he made history in different countries and he deserves such treatment but ok, i guess some bald fraud can just say that he's at best a midcarder and treat him as such ... whatever, he's so great and has influenced many, truely and forever a fan of his.."

[10.0] "Finn Bálor is the full package. In-ring skills? Clean and smooth. That shotgun dropkick, sling blade, and Coup de Grâce combo never gets old. Whether it's The Demon or just plain Finn, he delivers every time. Charisma, psychology, versatility -- dude can main event or elevate midcard gold. One of the most consistent and underrated talents WWE has. Deserves way more than he gets."

From his legendary run in NJPW as Prince Devitt to becoming the first-ever Universal Champion in WWE, he's always delivered top-tier matches with incredible in-ring psychology and athleticism. His NXT work was career-defining for the brand, and his current Judgment Day run shows he's still evolving. One of the most complete wrestlers of this era."

[8.0] "Finn is a guy I can't help but love and feel bad at how terribly he's treated. I loved him since his NXT run and thought the Demon was one of the most interesting and intriguing personas in wrestling. His Main Roster run was quiet good in the early days. The injury was a set back but he managed to comeback from it and was treated like a Main Eventer. He was very over with the crowds as well. But at some point, they just started treating him like a mid card guy and he never managed to comeback from that. Rarely winning matches, constantly loosing to top guys and just, bad booking. The Judgment Day storyline almost got him back on track, before he lost to Edge as the Demon which completely buried the persona in my eyes.I still love Finn, but wish he was in a better position than he's right now."

[10.0] "Finn's impact on wrestling cannot be understated, without him creating the bullet club, there is no elite, with no elite there is no AEW, without AEW, wrestling very well may have died after 2019. Finn is an all time great in ring as well, deserved a far better run in WWE."

[10.0] "Finn Bálor is one of the smoothest, most technically gifted wrestlers of his generation. Whether he's flying through the air with a perfectly placed Coup de Grâce or trading strikes with a heavyweight, Bálor makes everything look effortless. From Devitt in NJPW, the Bullet Club, NXT champ and even the RAW main event scene, he's proven himself to be one of the best talents in history. His cool factor, intensity, and the introduction of the Demon persona made him stand out. The Demon entrances were legendary. It felt like a final boss version of Bálor, reserved for big fights and delivered with incredible visual storytelling. His body paint, energy, and aura in that form created moments, even if the booking of it wasn't always consistent. Becoming the first-ever Universal Champion only to relinquish the title the next night due to injury shifted the trajectory of his entire main roster run. He bounced between midcard and main event scenes, often underused despite always delivering in the ring. His heel turn and leadership of Judgment Day brought a welcome edge back to his character. Instead of just being the cool guy in leather jackets, Bálor tapped into his darker side and showed he could lead a faction with personality and presence. Bálor has done it all. NXT Champion, Intercontinental Champion, Universal Champion, leader of two major factions, and a consistent show-stealer. Whether in Japan, NXT, or the main roster, he elevates whatever show he's on. His only real downside is that he's often the guy WWE uses to make others look good rather than pulling the trigger on him for a sustained top-tier run. When booked with intent, Bálor is a top-level star. A world-class performer with charisma, precision, and staying power."

[7.0] "Honestly, I've always loved Finn as a heel. Since 2023, his promos have gotten way better, but his in-ring work? It's like he forgot how to wrestle. Dude might just be lazy now, 'cause the drop in his skills is impossible to miss."

[8.0] "Consistently one of my favourite wrestlers but so god damn wasted. Why he didnt get a proper World Title run, it it baffles me! And how they got rid of the demon is so annoying. I've fully lost hope in Balor now but overall good but wasted and still one of my favourites."

[10.0] "I honestly think his average should be a lot higher than it is so giving him a 10 even though he is probably closer to a 9. Unfortunately, there was some bad luck for him in his career especially start with the main roster when he got an injury so early in his WWE main roster push. After winning the Universal Title he had to vacate because he got injured unfortunately having to work with an unsafe worker (Seth Rollins). Besides Balor he also injured Sting and John Cena among others. Thankfully, I believe Seth has gotten safer now. Since going to WWE from NJPW, Balor's mic work has improved a lot. I do hope that WWE gives him another push in the singles competition where he is able to win another Top Heavyweight Championship whether it be the Universal Title or the World Championship as he deserves another chance."

[9.0] "His current career state right now is sad, but it's doesn't not make him less of a legend, despite his career ups and down, he still had a great wrestler, a great worker with many great matches, also great at the mic and very charismatic, he just needs a good booking"

[9.0] "It pains me to see how wasted his potential was in main roster WWE. Finn is a great worker, able to wrestle absolute classics. If you doubt of his worth, check his NXT and NJPW work. He doesn't disappoint."

[9.0] "If you are new to wrestling, you may see Finn's current storyline and not think he is that great. But he can play any wrestler. Talented young Gunn with energy and a lot to prove. He can be a savvy vet who leads or causes turmoil to a group of wrestlers. In the ring, he is one of the best in the world today since his time in New Japan. If he stayed in njpw he would be a world champion by now. He was the nxt champion and world champion in WWE. He was the face of NXT at one point, and when he returned, he had maybe a better reign as champ."

[10.0] "Genuinely one of the greatest wrestlers of all time to step in the ring, and I am not exaggerating when I say that. Founder of one of the most influential factions in wrestling history, fantastic and reliable character worker in any role he's given, and an all around machine in the ring. I was hoping him taking back the Judgment Day from Priest would lead to him (and the rest of the faction) being booked as a strong threat, but it's still relatively earlyish in the feud so I still have hope."

Creative, fast, ingenious, intelligent and benevolent, Finn Balor deserves to be at the top of the card, and we deserve him to be. Frankly, he's one of my favorite wrestlers. That being said, I truly miss his past entrance and the connection with the audience he had during it."

[9.0] "Solid 9.5 guy, The only thing holding him back from being a 10 is a proper solo run in WWE. He's been a top guy everywhere else now just needs the run he was robbed of in 2016. Works well on the mic and in promos one of the best even in ring and can work with ABSOLUTELY anyone. Never seen him in a story line I didn't think was believable, should have won at WM 39 against Edge but still has menatined his aura and hopeful his upcoming run in the Judgement day will do him justice."

[8.0] "If Finn retires and WWE did not pull the trigger on him it'll be depressing and a very big opportunity missed. Phenomenal wrestler, great character and great on the mic. Phenomenal other persona with the demon. WWE needs to pull the trigger."

[10.0] "One of the most influential and important wrestlers of the modern age, constantly inches away from being the face of a promotion. A technical savant with a unique move set unlike any other. The founder of the bullet club that crafted the framework of wrestling and its luminaries. Fantastic in the ring with an iconic presentation. Balor should be a top contender in any company, but once given to him-the brass ring always seems to be snatched from him. Regardless he is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, love the real rock n rolla!"

[8.0] "I'm a big Balor fan. He has enormous talent and works his characters very well. He's considerably above average in the ring, good on the mic, and it's a shame he's been constantly underused throughout his career, I love his gimmicks."

He can give a very good match with every opponent. I hope the WWE give him a world title 'cause he deserves it. He should win the New WHC at least. A shame that he's been treating like this in the last years:("

[10.0] "I believe a lot of common people can't realise or see what is Finn made out of. He carried JR. Tag division in Japan for years, He built the greatest stable in pro wrestling history. He was the first ever WWE Universal champion(Rollins ruined it) he is a solid person as a midcard champ. He has an amazing charisma and we all saw it when he became the greatest NXT champion ever. I believe we should be thankful because we are able to watch such an amazing talent."

[10.0] "My favorite wrestler of all time with what I still consider some of the most interesting and innovative offense seen in wrestling, the prince pushed my understanding of wrestling to it's limits when I first watched him as a younger fan. And now with a solidified fandom in wrestling, he stays afloat on top of my top wrestlers. Amazing baby face, arguably better heel, able to thrive in any division convincedly and dominantly if needed. His current run while not changing the world, doesn't need to. From young lion, to finding bullet club, to his domination in NXT. His career speaks for itself and truly has something for everyone"

[6.0] "Finn Balor to me is another case of the facade of the "technical wrestling" elitists that pollute this site and have bevome more verbal and growing in numbers in recent years. While convincing wrestling and good ground control is important and entertaining a 40 minute match of submissions does not equate to greater quality than a 10 minute gimmick fight or even a 20 minute slobberknocker as JR would say. That being said I feel a great many who have reviewed and praised Finn are viewing him out of a faulty lense. He is by no means a bad wrestler but he has no right to be as high as he is currently listed. He has a moveset that very much relies on his competitor to make it look good and he delivers hollow promos. His demon character was a cool Idea but it doesnt do anything for him. The times that WWE have allowed for its use its been buried by the other talent and seemingly gives him no additional abilities or moves which the concept of it would suggest otherwise. Finn will do best where he has always done best and that is on NXT or in the indy circuit or maybe Japan. Where he can work with others that will highlight his style and not put him in a position where others have to be competent for him to look good."

[6.0] "Finn is fine. Apparently he is currently the leader of a faction but is the least important and over member of that faction. He is always going to deliver you a ***1/2 match when put in a big singles match but little more than that unless in with someone who is elite. The demon is up there with spooky Bray Wyatt as the most embarrassing gimmick in modern wrestling. Bloody lovely abs though."

[9.0] "Finn Bálor is my favorite wrestler in all of professional wrestling. I always enjoyed his stories and his matches even though booking has often screwed him. His wrestling skill is incredible and is way up there among the best. He has a perfect mix of striking, aerial & technical skills in his arsenal and has one of the best signatures and finishers in the business. He is a spectacle in the ring, always delivers in the best way he can and works with any material given to him and he barely ever had a bad match in his career. Finn has incredibly played his characters to perfection (The Prince, Judgement Day, Demon King) and has always told a story to a great extent and is excellent in either being a face or heel. While promos is not as good as his character and wrestling skill, he is no slouch. He can get anyone invested to a story when given the chance and is enjoyable on the mic overall. Finn has done it all and has won titles all over the world and now hes a Grand Slam Champion (although I wish he still gets a proper world title run) Finn was great then and he is still great now. One of the best pro wrestlers to ever step inside the ring."

[5.0] "One of the most overrated wrestlers today. He is fine in-ring but is a charisma vaccum and a boring promo. The last time he was interesting is when Bullet Club was formed. Had success in NXT, but has not been interesting since. Simply put he is just plain."

[8.0] "The Judgement Day are my favourite stable right now and Finn Bálor is a big part of that. He's got a great demonic gimmick and his character work is good enough to sell it properly, making him a fun heel to watch. Very solid in ring performer too, glad he's finally being booked properly."

[10.0] "Finn Bálor, Prince Devitt or even his demonic version of Bálor is something that although he has obviously always looked like himself he has been able to create different personalities and that says a lot about the way he works. I like his wrestling style, sometimes it's a bit unpredictable and I like it, I also see that he hasn't been brought out to his best potential in WWE but hopefully in the future he will be part of the faces of the company."
