"[6/10] Big Boom AJ isn't an amazing wrestler, & he doesn't have to be. He's likable, charismatic, & willing to go through the IRL difficulties of this business to keep pumping forth. All of that stuff truly has to count for something. I understand why the gimmick may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the idea of a person that sees this gimmick as a reason to get all up in arms about it seems like a bit of a reach to me. At his age, he'll never break a certain ceiling physically, & I'm fine with that. Fun gimmick IMO anyway."

"A father and son that makes very inoffensive and innocuous TikTok videos. It's pretty wholesome and it's needed in today's climate. Big Boom AJ is a journeyman wrestler and not a bad worker but he understands his limitations and works fun matches."

"Very good for someone who doesn't do wrestling full time. Great physical shape, mediocre moveset and slow but that's OK for his age. Nothing but respect to this guy."

"Going into his match with QT Marshall, I thought that it was gonna be a stupid gimmick match and, although I was correct in some ways, I was very surprised by the level of wrestling that Big AJ was able to execute. The match wasn't bad like I expected to be. It was fun. Was it perfect? Obviously not, but AJ was great in the match and fought through a broken foot through that match. Does me liking the Costco Guys and the Rizzler especially affect my review of the match, maybe a little bit, but I don't think it was bad and I think Big AJ was very good in it."

"AJ is a great person. I said this in my comment before it got taken down by all of the memes (to which I was honestly rating him, cagematch), but I still am WAITING to see what he does in ring vs QT Marshall first before I give him a SOLID RATING unlike everyone before me who voted 10/10 because they like his personality or his memes he does with his son. If he shines in ring, then my main idea of him as a wrestler will change. For now, I haven't seen him wrestle since 2021 (when he retired). So at this moment, 3/10 for personality, 1/10 for wrestling at this moment in time. And everyone whose idea was to joke about his rating and boost him to #1 wasn't funny . No hate at all to him, by the way. 4/10 or **/*****. (Will change after Saturday's Full Gear.) UPDATE: I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and think that the match was atleast okay and was a great throwback to the old wrestling style. I hope AEW brings him back. And i'll give him props for wrestling that match on a broken foot. Complete worker. 8/10."

"AJ as a wrestler isn't good for him after seeing his indies matches and older comparing to AEW they were better him as a person is good and his bring the boom gimmick was for memes only not for a real wrestler gimmick tho I was shocked that he could actually wrestle without doing research on his wrestling career first he didn't do that good nor bad just in a straight middle of a 5/10 + for his age thats actually not that bad."

"Webmaster note: Idiots who want to give meme ratings are the reason why this profile cannot be given a rating. Also, to those who think about using the comments to complain about this decision: You will get banned. Cry about it on social media instead. You are the reason why we cannot have anything nice."
