[7.0] "The Wingmen were goofy fun and must have done something good since they are still remembered. I really liked their short-lived feud with the Best Friends. Pretty Pete Avalon was the stand out of the group and JD Drake is still going."
[6.0] "The Wingmen are a pretty fun jobber stable. I feel that JD Drake is being wasted here but he does add some nice variety to Wingmen matches so they aren't just comedy squashes."
[1.0] "Another ineffective group in AEW's long line of ineffective groups. The existence of this faction proves how obsessed with groups Tony is & he'll form them regardless if there is a need/want/desire for them to exist. These guys were all very low tier performers at the time & even by job group standards, this stable lacked a lot."
[5.0] "It was a jobber stable so I give it that, but it wasn't really a fun jobber stable like Dark Order and Premier Athletes. None of the guys really work together and I just don't really care about what they had to offer because all of them felt like Indy guys that can't get big anywhere. Not terrible, but not my favorite."
[5.0] "This isn't really the worst idea for a group. Ryan Nemeth is a pretty good talker and charismatic, but in the ring he isn't all that great. Peter Avalon changing from his librarian gimmick to the Pretty Peter one was pretty fun and he had some good showings. Cezar Bononi is somebody who, since his days in NXT, I has always felt like had a pretty good look but just wasn't good or smooth in the ring. Meanwhile JD Drake is one of the best and toughest indy wrestlers out there, and he was a super weird fit for this group. Before Anthony Henry made his way to AEW, they clearly had no idea what to do with Drake. This group could've been fun if it stuck around for the arrival of say MXM or a similar thing, but they were just a group of jobbers to always loose, and they did their roles well."
[7.0] "I love all 4 of these guys but AEW is doing nothing with them Great wrestlers, great gimmick just nothing happening at all. Maybe they should be sent to NJPW USA like they did The Factory but they should be on at least Rampage."
[5.0] "These guys are a jobber stable who knows what they are. They're not bad by any means, but nor are they good enough to pressure the company into pushing them."
[7.0] "It's so good when odd pieces come together in pro-wrestling, The Wingmen is precisely a weird fun stable with four talented people who would probably never get over on their own, one of the best random acts put together in wrestling today."
