[7.0] "Quite possibly of the weirdest wrestling games ever made, WrestleMania XIX improves on what WrestleMania X8 brought to the table when it comes to the gameplay. The reason why I call this game the weirdest is because of its main mode, Revenge Mode. Playing as any wrestler of your choosing, you are fired from WWE by that evil Mr. McMahon for reasons the game does not elaborate on. In order to extract your revenge, you align with Stephanie McMahon to sabotage the Showcase of the Immortals. How do you achieve this goal? Well, by going between several locations and fulfilling six missions for each area. This can range from tossing off construction workers to their death to destroying vehicles. Once everything is completed, you finally get your opportunity to fight Mr. McMahon... at WrestleMania XIX. We beat up that old bastard and presumably get rehired. Revenge Mode is certainly out there, but it's fun."

CAW mode was pretty fun & wacky. Lot less game modes compared to previous games, but the arenas and special stages were great."

It was Batista vs Goldust and Batista just nailed Goldust. Goldust bleed like hell. Also you can win a match in less than a minute just like Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy. The matches are great. My favorite is hardcore."

[8.0] "Yes yes the story mode is a hot, bewildering mess, but if you put that aside, this game did everything right. Coming off the atrocious mess of WM X8, this entry re-introduces everything fans had come to expect from the outstanding N64 games, and made the expected upgrades with what was until quite recently the most expansive creation modes in the history of the franchise. I still don't think any game has done entrance creation as well as XIX, and the moveset and appearance editors were a revelation for the time. And yes, that soundtrack. If there's one thing I would point out off the top of my head as to why this game and the DoRs hit that nostalgic mark, it's the selection of licensed music. I still have no idea who Zebrahead is, but may God bless them."

[9.0] "I can see most of the hate towards this game because the story mode is pretty hit and miss, but I honestly loved this game quite a bit. I actually was quite intrigued by the storyline, though I can deduct a point because the motives in the story are not even present, having to resort to the game manual for most of the ideas presented, though beating up random people is fun it does get boring. In other game modes, the creation system is really fun, and if not better in my opinion than the Smackdown games. Sure it doesnt have amazing gameplay like those games, but it is perfectly paced, and has a really cool finisher mechanism that really mixes up the game. In the end I see where most of the content in this game is hit and miss, but for me it was a hit that almost landed out of the park, I thought it was cool to see how much more improved the gameplay was compared to Wrestlemania X8, but it still isnt a perfect game. I grew up with this game and Ive enjoyed it for all that it was worth to me."
