At retirement, it was diminished a little in that it eventually became another rank-and-file midcard title, albeit one that was still the top tag team honor for the most recognizable wrestling company in the United States."

[10.0] "Because of what it meant in the 70's, 80's and early 90's it's a 10. I hate that it is retired, but I hate it more that these straps became an inconsequential hot potato before being retired. That's a shame."

It was probably the best tag belts they had in terms of match quality but I enjoyed the matches way more then the other tag belts and they felt important to the brand."

While tag team wrestling, and by extension, the titles later whittled away to unimportance, there was a time when good teams like the Killer Bees or the Rougeaus simply weren't good enough to hold them because they weren't up to the great standard set by teams like The Bulldogs, the Harts, and Demolition."
