"10/10 One of the most prestigious titles in the entire wrestling industry, this championship has been held by some of the most talented women from around the world -- including Sasha Banks, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Ember Moon, Rhea Ripley, Io Shirai, Stephanie, Giulia, and many others. What truly sets this title apart is not just the caliber of athletes who have held it, but the depth of storytelling woven into each match and the remarkable sense of elevation that accompanies every reign. Shawn Michaels, in particular, has done an outstanding job of spotlighting new talent and creating stars while maintaining the prestige of the gold. A prime example this year is Jacy Jayne -- one of the most underrated women in NXT -- who finally seized the opportunity to become world champion. She absolutely delivered, showcasing strong in-ring performances, compelling narratives, and undeniable charisma. Her reign proved she belongs among the best and is now more than ready for the main roster."

They pick their champions (FOR THE MOST PART) wisely and although they've unsurprisingly had stumbling points, its a great title that really plays up its lineage and heritage and is treated with a refreshing weight and respect for modern wrestling."

[9.0] "The NXT women's title is a perfect sidepiece for the NXT title. They both have a great line-up of wrestlers who have won the title with good matches and fun storylines. The title did dip slightly once it reached the 2.0 version, with Mandy Rose holding the title hostage for over a year with a completely rubbish reign, but that seemed like Shawn Michael's wet dream. The only thing I think this title needs for 2024 next year is a decently sized run. It feels like the title has been passed around a lot recently. Returning to this in 2025 and the title has been excellent, amazing matches and storylines involved with the bonus of the lineage looking one of the best in women's history."

[8.0] "This title has never had a bad design, and its history is even better than the men's, only because it doesn't have people like Adam Cole, who didn't go to the main roster after losing the title, and then left the company altogether. Of course, there is a chance that Roxanne Perez will drop everything and leave forever, but I don't believe it. Even if we talk about those who came back from the main roster to NXT, Mandy Rose, having won the title, sparkled with new colors, becoming one of the dominant champions in the women's division, and in the men's too, while Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler did not succeed as NXT champions so much. Of course, Becky Lynch also showed herself well as a fighting NXT champion. In general, there is a feeling that the NXT women's title helped talents much more than the men's, but it is worth admitting that the men's division has many more memorable matches. Finally, I will note that the champions of both divisions were future participants of the WrestleMania main event: Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair. You can also add Becky Lynch here, although I am not sure that she is appropriate here, since she won the title after participating in the main event, 5 years later"

Champions were true champions, the title was hold by deserved superstar and what happened after that is cringe and sad. What a waste."

After Mandy we had a flop ass Roxanne run where she got injured & then vacated but not really then indi Harrell had a feel good moment & then really got injured & drafted to Main Roster. Following that Tiffany Stratton had a decent run got the biggest spotlight with Becky who gave the title spotlight & elevated all the division then Lyra happened & she had a good but underwhelming reign. Now Roxanne has it & is having good matches feuds & making history like back in the OG NXT days like the Sashas & Bayleys"

Currently the NXT womens division doesnt have enough strong names active who can also go in ring so its brought down by the division being a little bit weak."

But ever since Io lost it, it hasn't produced one great match. Awful choices of champions, especially that atrociously long Mandy Rose reign who did absolutely nothing but devaluate the prestige of that once great Championship. There was a bit of hope with someone like Roxanne Perez but her reign was too short to mean anything."

[8.0] "For almost 8 years, this was a title that carried a lot of value and prestige. Well booked, excellent matches and some outstanding champions. Showed what women's wrestling in North America could be when it had the full backing of management. During this time, it was by far the best women's title on a televised US wrestling product. In some ways was also the catalyst for positive changes on WWE's main roster. Paige did an admirable job as inaugural champion, though the division around her still needed to be built. The 4HW and Asuka eras were just fantastic. I feel that after them, booking floundered a bit. Athena/Ember Moon was treated as a transitional champion for Shayna Baszler. Indeed, Baszler's first reign was great. Kairi didn't get the title reign she deserved. Baszler's second reign was good but became boring. Rhea Ripley was elevated at the perfect time, but was short lived thanks a pointless title win by Charlotte Flair. Io Shirai's victory and title reign restored its prestige significantly. She was one of the pillars of that division for a long time, having killer matches. Since she lost it, the title has regressed. Raquel was out of her depth as champion, having consistently boring matches. Management then shifted NXT's focus and subsequently took a dump on the division by awarding Mandy Rose the belt. To date, she's the worst champ in the title's history. A glorified Diva with mediocre skills, crap matches and who uses the title as a fashion accessory. Disgraceful that the likes of Dakota Kai and Candice LeRae never won this (HHH made blunders by not elevating them). In spite of how bad things are right now, doesn't take away how incredible the title's past history is. May have some potential if talent like Roxanne Perez or Ivy Nile win it, but chances are they're high on trash like Nikkita Lyons."

[8.0] "Similarly to my review for the men's NXT title, the women's title has a lineage that mostly has the most prestigious of winners who have gone onto greater things and grown into fantastic performers, such as Bayley, Sasha Banks, Asuka, Paige and Charlotte. In the last year and a half, this belt has felt a bit more directionless, and more like a prop to hold the champion up, rather than a champion who elevates the belt. However, the excellent lineage of this belt helps hold it above and keep this rating high."
Childofthelost wrote on 13.01.2022:

[10.0] "Probably the most prestigious women's championship (outside of STARDOM and other Japanese Joshi promotions. Feels like the title is earned for the person who wins the belt and feels like a big deal when a title change does happen. The people who have held the title are more than worthy competitors to win the title. The belt is also well protected and booked really well. Every champion gets chance to themselves as the champion and the belt isn't flip flopped around and has only had 13 champions in 8 years . The only mistake with this title really is putting the title on Charlotte for a 2nd time when it wasn't really needed. Didn't hurt the prestige of the title that much as it was fixed the next PPV but was definitely a mistake."

[10.0] "We can all agree that this is the best women's title in WWE right now. It hasn't been held by a lot of women, but all of them are very talented and worthy of having a championship reign. It's true that not all of the matches in which it's been defended are amazing, but it has been defended in some of the best women's matches in WWE history: Becky vs Sasha was amazing, both Bayley vs Sasha matches were mind-blowing, Asuka vs Nikki was brutal and unwatchable (in the good sense), the second Asuka and Ember Moon was savage, the first Kairi vs Shayna was very cool, and despite what people have been saying, Io vs Shayna was also very fierce. They only flaw I find in this title is the fact that Shayna was given a second reign very quickly when maybe she didn't even need one. Hope the title changes hands soon."

[10.0] "As of the time I am typing this there have only been 8 women who've held the title since its creation in 2013. What makes a title prestigious is two factors: 1. Those who have won it have to be the best of the best and the run must be lengthy. The NXT Women's championship ticks both of these boxes as the most talented women in NXT have won it and all of their reigns lasted at least over fifty days. To me its the most prized women's title in WWE."

They're usually between the 2-3 star range imo, and recently have been contested more frequently in multi-man matches, which doesn't help for match quality and feels just like forcing more stars into a title match for the sake of it."

Well-told storylines, too. The bayley's underdog storyline, for example, was absolutely amazing. Paige's run was ok. Charlotte's reign definitely put this title on the map, then sasha, bayley, asuka continued the legacy. Now after asuka's reign, a huge pressure is waiting for any women who will hold this. I want to see what happens next. A well-booked title in my opinion unlike 2 garbage women titles on main roster."
Leone wrote on 27.12.2016:
[10.0] "Some of the best women's wrestling matches in WWE have been for this title. At the beginning it went to Paige, the most over female in NXT at the time before she vacated it for the WWE Diva's Championship. Then it went to Charlotte, who at the time put on a phenomenal match against Natalya to win it. She had some good title defences against Sasha and Bayley before dropping it to Sasha. Sasha went on to have the shortest, but also 1 of the most important title reigns, as her match against Becky Lynch took both women to the next level, and the night she lost it to Bayley in Brooklyn was probably the best women's match that WWE have ever had. Bayley's reign was a mixed bag, ranging from the excellent iron woman match against Sasha, the Underdog-champion match against Nia Jax and the night she lost it to Asuka, to TV matches against Eva Marie and (both then-not-so-ready) Carmella and Alexa Bliss. Asuka's title reign has been about less-is-more, as all of her title matches have only been on Takeover shows or House shows. Being booked as the female Brock Lesnar, her reign has seen her put on excellent (but slightly one-sided) matches against Bayley and a returning Mickey James (in what is probably James' best match). The only challenge right now is finding a woman who would be suitable for Asuka to drop to the title to (If she doesn't vacate it), and of course, experience her first loss in NXT. Because the last 3 champions in particular (as of this post) have set a very high bar."

The Four Horsemwomen's era is well booked but I did not enjoy it as much as some did. At the end of the day it's presented as a secondary developmental championship, so that does have some bearing on it."
