[9.0] "This title is one of the best titles made by WWE, even if it was rough for a period, it has gotten a total resurrection and it is so satisfying. I hope the trend of good matches with this belt continues."

[9.0] "Undoubtedly the most prestigious title after world champion. I'm not a big fan of the current design (2026); I much preferred the one from the 2000-2010 era. When I hear "Intercontinental Champion, " I always think of Chris Jericho."

[7.0] "Had a few strong runs and a few very weak ones. In the late 80's it was THE championship and at a point was considered the "workers belt" but things got murky once it became Razor Ramon's prop. After stumbling for a while, Chris Jericho did his part to re-elevate the championship's worth. Soon again however, it became lost in the shuffle somehow. Shelton Benjamin helped recreate a bit of mystique and intrigue in regards to the championship's impact on bell to bell action & it pushing the carrier to next levels but I admit I haven't watched wrestling in so long that my knowledge ends around 2006. I heard Gunther restored a bit of honor to the title, good for him. 6.5"

[10.0] "This legit might be my favorite wrestling title of all time due to the amount of legends that have held this title and the many great matches this title has produced."

[10.0] "My Favorite Wrestling Championship of all time, the legacy behind and the prestige of is so cool and the design in my opinion is the best out of any championship ever."

[9.0] "Really should be a 10 considering its history and its image as the "working man's title", but this belt hasn't been nearly as important as it used to be for a long while. This of course excludes GUNTHER's reign which heavily elevated the title, but both before and after this reign the belt has been relatively uninteresting, at least compared to other belts."

[7.0] "Not a bad title at all, but some people need to take off the rose colored glasses. Is the title historic? Yes. But its reputation as "the workhorse belt" stems from a period of a few months in the 80s, and we haven't shut up about it since. This title has been dragged through the mud several times, but I applaud it for always finding a way to make a comeback."

[8.0] "The idea of the title itself as a sort of "worker's" title is 10 alone, and though it has a somewhat tarnished and complex history, it is still far and away my favorite title in WWE, and maybe the world. There are so many best-of-the-best ring work matches that were about this title, and it's position on the card is almost always about letting the wrestlers work first. If there's a title I like more, I'd have to really reflect on that, because it's not coming to me at the moment."

[7.0] "It feels like a weathervane. No one can care about this title for years, but as soon as a real champion appears, the value of the title increases several times. Unfortunately, over time it falls again - and this happens all the time. Gunther was an excellent champion, but I can't help but admit that if it weren't for the fans on the Internet, then perhaps Gunther would have had a lackluster reign. After all, WWE likes to rely on people's opinions, and Gunther was very hot at the time, plus there was practically no need to put in any effort to come up with any storylines, because this title is just for cool wrestling guys who have no future in the world championship, main event shows. It's, you could say, a trial version of the world champion. Although I'm surprised that Bron Breakker has so few matches now, because he could well be as cool a champion as Gunther, if not even better - but he prefers to be used as a dude who watches the show in the spectators. Horrible.. Well, that's what I'm talking about. Of course, soon everything will change, and the title will be owned by the one who needs it. The problem is that Bron doesn't need the title. Specifically, the Intercontinental one. He needs the World Championship. I think Dominik Mysterio would be a good champion, and everybody would understand who this title belongs to"

[8.0] "At the title's apex, the WWE Intercontinental Championship was the de facto prize for WWE's B-Tour. Today, it is a midcard title enjoyed on the RAW brand. It has definitely done its job in elevating wrestlers for bigger and better things, as well as being a hallmark title in its own right."

[8.0] "The Intercontinental Championship, despite questionable booking for sizeable portion of its history, remains a prestigious and beloved title for a good reason. Let's hope it continues to be such."

[9.0] "A historic belt in wrestling industry.Many of the greatest wrestlers won this price.This belt is called the workhorse championship for a reason .The holders of this price were mostly all incredible.It has a bad phase where it didn't get book on ple for about a year.But now it is prestigious once again"

[9.0] "This title has certainly seen it's shares of highs and lows, although I would argue in general almost every champion of the modern era has earned the right to be champion. While there have certainly been many iconic names to hold the championship, I expect it'll be a long time before we ever see anything remotely close to the title run Gunther had."

[8.0] "This is one of my favourite titles of all time, but it's hard to ignore how poorly booked it's been during its long history. There were eras of brilliance, such as the extended Honky Tonk run, which arguably made Ultimate Warrior when he ended it in stunning fashion, and the extended Gunther run, the brilliance of which there will never be enough said. But in between, you have moments when the title was just hot-potatoed around the midcard without any real value behind it - e.g. Jericho won and lost the title to Rob Van Dam within the same episode of Raw in Oct 2003? ! Ultimately the title has enough history and prestige to it that it can be reheated whenever creative so desires, and for that resilient longevity, it gets an 8."

[9.0] "It's lost it's luster in recent years but the IC title is an incredible title that embodies a rich history and tradition that spans decades. Often considered the "workhorse" title of WWE, it has been held by some of the greatest in-ring performers in the company's history, from legends like Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho and Bret Hart to modern-day stars such as Seth Rollins, The Miz, Sami Zayne and Gunther. Most of the problems with the title, especially in recent years is I feel is the inconsistent booking and it's further devaluation via the introduction of secondary World Titles. The title used to mean you were someone the company could potentially use in the main event, many WWE Superstars who went on to become world champions started their journey with a successful run as Intercontinental Champion. Nowadays, it just means you're in midcard purgatory where it's seen as the ceiling moreso than the stepping stone it once was. Still, the Intercontinental title remains an iconic title with a rich history that should be treated better than it has been."

[9.0] "Gunther's reign has really brought this belt back to something way more serious, important and only under the world titles, instead of feeling more on-par with the U.S. title. The moment Gunther drops it, he will leave to be on top of the card, and leaving a belt better than it has been in years."

[9.0] "The ultimate workers title. Back in the day holding this belt was a sure fire signal you were destined for the big one in the near future. Unfortunately later years have somewhat demoted its status but this seems to be changing now with Gunther wearing it round his waist."

Triple H really revitalized the Intercontinental title and gave it a new meaning after it became something of a filler in Vince's last years as the head honcho of WWE. Gunther made this belt feel like it was a world title or something."

Guys like Rick Rude, Ultimate Warrior, Razor Ramon, Honky Tonk Man, Goldust, Triple H, The Rock, Bret Hart, Cody Rhodes, Jeff Jarrett, Kerry Von Erich, Pat Patterson, & Chyna got to hold this title. I actually like this title more than the main WWE championship"

[9.0] "The Intercontinental title has always been my favourite minor title in the WWE. It has also had its ups and downs, but again, it has a massive lineage with some fantastic, rememberable runs, such as Chris Jericho, The Miz, and the current champion, Gunther. It is nice to see the title being used as a great platform for wrestlers to showcase their abilities with one another. With Gunther's current record-breaking run, he has achieved a rare 5-star performance twice (and both times have required, in my opinion, the person who should be the next champion, Sheamus). It is good to see this title gaining its well-deserved flowers and prestige."

[8.0] "Been treated worse than a relay baton in recent years, dropped, fumbled, changed. Absolute shambles but may there be hope in the end? Who knows but as it is hey hoooo, probably be a returning Boogeyman who beats Gunther so I don't know what to think at the end of the day."

[8.0] "This is a title with a very rich history, that is in a rebuilding process courtesy of Gunther. Back in the day, the IC title was known as the workers' title, with notable champions being Bret Hart, Randy Savage, Mr. Perfect, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, among many others. It lost its way in the Attitude Era, with champions like Test, Albert, The Godfather, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, Goldust, and Val Venis, who were either bad in the ring or lower midcard, mixed in with short reigns from quality workers like Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, and Kurt Angle. That trend continued in later eras, with Dolph Ziggler, Wade Barrett, Shelton Benjamin, John Morrison, Kofi Kingston, and Daniel Bryan among the many to hold it, but the belt never regained the prestige it had in the Golden Era until Gunther's current reign."

[8.0] "Well the IC title has gone through periods of greatness and periods of extreme irrelevancy but its highs are always remembered quite fondly and its short comings for the most part are forgotten. And some of that may because of New York's ability to spin it and gloss over terrible title reigns, but there's been great reigns throughout the long years it's been around. In late 2023 it seems like it may be turning a corner and becoming quite good again since Gunther has had the belt for a long ass time and has beaten the former longest title reign holder (I will never understand why The Honky Tonk Man had that record so long it's almost absurd.) But all in all it may be my favorite title in WWE maybe even more than the world title itself but it would be close."

[8.0] "A title that has gone through ups and downs, but has mainly been great for a majority of it's existence. When it's used as a "next big thing" belt it is at it's best. When it's being traded around by career midcarders having 2 star matches it is at it's worst. The long reign of Gunther has restored a lot of prestige to the belt, and I hope they can continue the momentum with the next champion. Even if it's someone like Sheamus who is probably beyond the title."

[9.0] "The prestige of this title has obviously been restored ever since Gunther got ahold of it. It went from not even being featured at WrestleMania to being on the line for a handful of the best matches of the past year. With how much it means nowadays, it will be a fairly big deal when Gunther finally loses it."

[9.0] "No wonder they call it the work horse title.Pretty much the secondary title to the WWE championship, but rarerly dissapoints, specially now, thanks to Gunther, the title never felt as big as now"

[7.0] "Would probably have been 5 stars before Gunther's reign, but they've done such a good job with his booking as champion that whoever unseats him will get a massive rub, similar to that of someone winning a world title. Unfortunately, I don't have much faith in the company keeping the prestige of the belt up after they take the belt off Gunther, as before he was champ the belt would bounce around aimlessly, with champions hardly defending the belt until they decided to give someone else a brief run with it."

[8.0] "One of the most important and storical WWE's title but still King Nakamura's Reigns Is not forget. Fortunately Gunther Is Having One of the best Reign ever. ****"

[8.0] "A title that has a history of being defined as a title for well working wrestlers and memorable battle has irrelevant for some years, but it looks like WALTER is trying to bring that reputation back."

[6.0] "An incredibly up and down championship. Essentially the B-title for a lot of the time. For some periods, it was a revered placement to be the Intercontinental Champion, but essentially for the past 30 years, the IC title has been incredibly inconsistent."

[9.0] "Some of the very best matches in wrestling history have been for this belt, & some of the very best wrestlers in history have either held or challenged for the IC title. The championship did lose some prestige over the years, but thankfully Gunther seems to be bringing that back."

[8.0] "A historically excellent title the IC is gaining a lot of very much deserved prestige with Gunther as the current champion, IC is a title that I'm always invested in and i hope Gunther's reign with it continues for awhile to help strengthen the belt."

[6.0] "What used to be the workmates belt or a title for younger wrestlers to run with has seen it's prestige tarnished by WWE's failure to feature the title in any meaningful capacity. With Vince McMahon gone perhaps the title will be elevated back to respectability."

[10.0] "Ah the Intercontinental Championship, basically the workhorse title of WWE. If the WWE Championship was for the top stars, the IC title was the title the best pure workers fought for. Back in the day, it was seen as the first step to a potential main event push. Even today, it? s still been held by several great talent such as Seth Rollins, The Miz, Finn Balor, Ricochet, Gunther, the list goes on and on. It may not the title it once was, but the Intercontinental Championship still carries a legacy with some of the greatest matches in wrestling history being contested for the title. As prestigious as the WWE Championship is, there is no title that represents the worker quite like the Intercontinental Championship."

[8.0] "An 8 for all the history that it carries, and for being the launching pad of many tremendous careers in the past. Lately, it's barely featured and it's nothing more than extra weight on the champion's bags. However, at the end of the day there are plenty of champions, moments and matches to remember featuring the Intercontinental Title. Macho Man v. Steamboat; Macho Man v. Honky Tonk Man; Warrior v. Rude; Perfect v. Bret; Bret v. Piper; Bret v. Bulldog; Razor v. Shawn; Rock v. HHH. These are just some examples of historic feuds and matches over the title, and why it will always have a soft spot for me. I'd love to go even higher, but I just can't given the last 15-20 years."

"Now let's be honest, considering the current process. Nakamura's TitLE REIGNS was a complete disgrace. He's literally showing the title as an ornament. Which reduces the prestige of the title. How many times has Damian Priest defended his belt' A man you call king is now devaluing the title."

[7.0] "One of the most prestigious linages in wrestling that is deeply hurt by the fact WWE don't care about this title. The Intercontinental Championship has periods where WWE care but more often than not, it's left off TV or left off PPV and the reigns are either booked poorly or the title gets hotshot immediately. This title used to be the WWE workrate championship, now it's the "we have nothing for you, just hold this" championship."

[9.0] "When I followed wrestling in the 80's and 90's the Intercontinental Championship was the better belt of the two big singles championships in the WWF. For real wrestling fans it generated a lot more hype as the better working wrestlers fought for it in some of the greatest matches and it was nowhere near as predictable as the World Heavyweight title. To list a few moments: Savage vs Steamboat, Warrior vs Rude (the best Ultimate Warrior matches), Perfect vs Hart, Ramon vs Michaels and not to mention the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time Honky Tonk Man. Would be a ten if solely based on the 80's and 90's but the title has lost its shine over the years. 9*"
