"People here are not understanding that these guys worked for fucking ECW of all places, they were a great tag team for what ECW wanted to offer, they would translate terribly in places like WWE though, I get that, still though, New Jack and Mustapha entertained me"

[5.0] "100% gimmick. Saed was fine as enhancement talent in WCW but New Jack will always be a zero. Where my ranking for this *team* comes in works kinda like this: I fkn LOVE the song "Natural Born Killaz". When watching an unaltered ECW, you sometimes get the whole song being played during one of their garbage brawls. Peanut Butter & Jelly, Disco & Polyester...or perhaps even more realistically: life & water. An altered ECW on Peacock/WWE Network however gives this pair NO saving graces. 10 for the unaltered insanity that we got to experience in the '90s, ZERO for what is presented nowadays."

[4.0] "They were fine as a hardcore team. Not great, just fine, chiefly because Mustafa Saed was basically a lesser New Jack in the ring and nowhere near as charismatic nor as good as promos as he was. I think they peaked during their early ECW stint when they started feuding with the Public Enemy, then the violence became cartoonish and the matches too repetitive. They won a reprieve feuding with The Eliminators but by that time they were clearly running on fumes and the ECW was full of thrashy garbage wrestlers hitting each other with guitars and whatnot and the shock factor was gone."

They also benefited from bookers in Cornette and Heyman that could play to their strengths and place them in compelling angles and storylines."

I watched their debut in 1994 in SMW and they still had that same tough style as they did in ECW, even the same theme song. Overall good at hardcore matches but thats about it."

[7.0] "The Gangstas were a great gimmick. What they lacked in wrestling ability, they made up for in New Jack's explosive, controversial promos. They had the most power in Smoky Mountain, when they were inciting violence among the, shall we say, proud rebel sons, who watched the show."
