[8.0] "One of the better brawlers on the indy circuit, Kingston has a style marked by stiff striking and a number of suplexes and throws, but can also work on the mat if the situation calls for it. He's also notable as an excellent promo who can easily make the crowd care about his character and what he's saying. He has the look of an old-school brawler, which may hold him back from the top levels of the wrestling world, but he's carved out a nice niche as an elite player on the indies, notably with CHIKARA (where he was the inaugural Grand Champion and held the title for well over two years) as well as having runs with CZW and ROH."

[7.0] "An incredible promo who really knows how to play to your emotions. His promo before his match at Chikara High Noon might be the highlight of that amazing event. I'm not sure what to make of his technique as I would definitely call him a brawler yet he has proven he can perform high level moves."

[10.0] "What can be said about Eddie Kingston? His look isn't great and he doesn't rate highly as an athlete, and it doesn't matter a single bit because Eddie Kingston performs with a passion that borders on the unreal. His promos are so emotionally powerful that you are drawn in the moment you hear his distinctive gravelly tones, filled with rage or pain or sadness or confidence, whatever is needed for the occasion is there is abundance because Kingston can bring it to the fore. He seems to truly feel what he is saying, and in the ring it shows too. Despite his size and condition he leaves every ounce of himself in that ring, diving through ropes and striking hard and sure with the best of them. You believe he can topple men twice his size, he is like a living embodiment of the grimly determined tragic hero, or even a tragic villain at times. There are few men like Eddie Kingston, which is good because I don't think the world could handle them."

jchiofal wrote on 02.04.2013:
[10.0] "Eddie Kingston is one of the best wrestlers on the indie circuit. He is powerful, with a stiff, Japan inspired arsenal of moves. He also has a large variety of suplexes and throws with that."
jjchiofalo wrote on 11.12.2011:
[10.0] "Eddie Kingston is simply amazing. One of the stiffest wrestlers in the world today, but also one of the best. Kingston is the penultimate brawler, with stiff strikes, amazing suplexes, and fantastic matches."
