People HATED him for his dead grandmother lie in Survivor, but I implore you to go back and watch it, it migh the funniest thing non scripted television has ever produced. It was so badly executed and only worked because another contestant bought it so hard. However, reality TV was new then so people hated him and just didn't want to accept him in other avenues which is a shame because I think Fairplay knew what he was doing but never got a chance to really do it."
