[4.0] "The Commandant, the leader/manager of the Truth Commission in both the USWA and WWF, was played by film/TV actor Robin Smith, whom Bret Hart recommended for the role. Smith was perfectly adequate as the South African military man, but as someone who didn't come from the world of wrestling and already had an outside career, he was never going to be long for the role. His entire wrestling career between the two companies took place within 1997, after which he was replaced by the Jackyl as leader of the Truth Commission (which would, rather bizarrely, gradually morph into the Oddities). Smith's acting career, however, is still going strong to this day."
