[3.0] "Should be up on the Mt Rushmore of jobbers along with Horowitz, Brooklyn Brawler and Dusty Wolfe. He finally struck gold in the Gilberg gimmick and they even gave him the light heavyweight title which he held for a freaking year! Needless to say, the WWF pretty much gave up on trying to compete with WCW by having a cruiserweight division."

[6.0] "Gillberg was... something lol. But I loved his gimmick. The fire crackers meant to replicate Goldberg's pyro was a cherry on top."

[6.0] "Was the Gilberg gimmick petty? Yes. Was it absolutely hillarious? Yes. Was he better than actual Goldberg despite not having anywhere near the drawing power? Yes. He was also a good enhancement talent which is an important role for sure. I'm honestly shocked to see how low he's rated here, he's not an all time great or anything, but he's certainly a memorable enhancement talent that found a niche in being a parody gimmick wrestler To me that's worth higher a sub 4 rating. In my eyes because of his solid enhancement work and humor value he's a 6/10."

[5.0] "Infinitely more entertaining, not to mention much safer in the ring than the actual Jabronie who inspired his gimmick. Despite the on-the-nose shot at WCW at the time, knowing that the WWE employed "jobbers" like Duane steadily for so long says something to his dependability. I'm glad he got to have a few big crowd-pleasing moments. His cameo at The Rock Concert II in Atlanta on Raw just slays me"

[6.0] "Duane Gill & Barry Hardy took on pretty much every tag team in the WWF from 1990 on to 94. Then he became probably the best parody wrester ever, the very watchable and quite laughable Gillberg; good for him. 5.75 rounded up."

[6.0] "He was a long time enhancement talent of Vince Jr's that was used to showcase the talent of others, make them and their moves look good, and work syndicated television matches. His most memorable run came as a rib on a guy who did draw money, sell tickets, and put asses in seats named Goldberg. The irony of that was that he won the light heavyweight belt around the time that it had kinda become used to a lesser existent, but still recognized, and he held on it to like over 400 days before they realized oh...we haven't done anything with this piece of gold in a while lol. I believe he still holds one of the top 10 longest reigns with a title in WWE history."

[2.0] "The ULTIMATE jobber. He had like one good year in the WWF when he won the Light Heavyweight Championship. But that was it."

[5.0] "Not everyone can be a champion. Duane Gill is an example of how you don't have to be a champ to be valuable. Man jobbed for decades and took a stupid gimmick making fun of one of the powerhouses of WCW and turned it into something more. People loved it, I loved it, it was hilarious (most of the time)."

[1.0] "Worse than the guy his gimmick was poking fun at. Not a great in ring worker. Very forgettable character from the peak of the attitude era."

[6.0] "GILLBERG! One of the all time great jobbers, and I say that with the utmost respect. Duane Gill turned a parody gimmick into something truly memorable for a young me. Beyond the Goldberg joke-character, Gill contributed over three decades of his life to making others look good between those ropes. Show some love, people."

[3.0] "He was funny to watch. He is a classic jobber. Great in WWF and teaming with Barry Hardy. They could pull off a gimmick the Executioners. He did not deserve to win the Light Heavyweight title form Christian. He mocked Goldberg. He should not have kept the title for over a year and did not work a lot with WWF. Glad Essa Rios took care of him and his title. Funny to see me him at the Raw 15th anniversary show in the battle royal where everybody ganged about on him."

[5.0] "I'm usually quick to shit on comedy wrestlers, but Gillgerg was legitimately really funny. It had a kind of smart humor to it that most of WWE's comedy usually lacks. Jobbers are necessary & Duane Gill did just fine with what he was given & he was serviceable in the ring."

[4.0] "Ok, he was always a jobber/comedy wrestler but the guy made a career out of it, can't blame the guy for making money off what he was good it. Everyone must like Gillberg a little right?"

[6.0] "Sometimes a gimmick is just enough. He was a jobber that no one should have even remembered (as Gillberg) but it worked reasonably well and a lot longer than it should have"

[6.0] "I like him better than Goldberg, because Gillberg is at least entertaining and doesn't injure other wrestlers. So, since i gave goldberg a 5, I'll give Gillberg a 6."

[5.0] "Gillberg or Duane Gill was never the best wrestler but he was defiantly entertaining. His gimmick being based off of Goldberg worked very well with his entrance with the fire extinguisher and the sparklers and all of that was very cool. Overall I will give him 5/10 just for how entertaining he was."

[4.0] "A career jobber, Duane Gill got his big break, such as it was, as the WWF's parody of WCW's Goldberg. It's something of a one-note joke, but at least a memorable one, and he made the most of it. When Goldberg got to WWE in 2003 we finally got to see both 'Bergs in the same ring as he was briefly involved in Goldberg's feud with the Rock. In an odd bit of wrestling trivia, he's the longest-reigning WWF Light Heavyweight Champion."

[4.0] "Rediculuos, but it works. Can't believe it worked this long but kudos to him for making it work. Ringwork is bad. Bumps are decent but so are most jobbers. Has lots of charisma so I'll give him a couple more points for that. On indy shows when he goes on offense, its pitiful. But, will sign autographs for hours after shows and talk to everyone so maybe I'll bump him up to a 5."
