He shouldn't have even been in the same thought at Styles or Ambrose. Sure he had some funny moments here and there, but it was taken too far and ruined any credibility of anything WWE did for like a year. Not to mention his stupid run with Carmella that was absolutely egregious."

He played into the no chin stuff so well, and played an okay heel with carmella in his last run, but his in ring stuff was just terrible. The story of james ellsworth would get a 10, a random, no name jobber that the fans damn near rioted to get signed, so they did, and immediately he was put into the biggest storyline in the company."

His in-ring abilities was far below par seen in his near catastrophic mistake in his match against Styles. Did not connect on the mic. His Ultimate Ellsworth gimmick is one of the stupidest parodies I have seen in pro wrestling Just overall not good."

[1.0] "I'd say this guy is not worth my time writing a review on, but I feel like I should give a review on James because LMFAO. James Ellsworth is an incredibly bad wrestler who was used for comedic relief during the Smackdown LIVE era, It would have been okay if WWE used him for a few weeks in 2016 but nope, they had this guy beat AJ Styles, a man who had proven himself over the years to be one of the best wrestlers in the business, and had to be Dean Ambrose's sidekick, what an absolute circus. It didn't stop there as he became the helping hand for Carmella, a wrestler who was atrocious back in the day until she finally parted ways from James and improved somewhat in the years following the two splitting up. These flaws are not getting into his personal issues which I am not even going to talk about. I hope WWE never brings this guy back and thankfully they won't. I'll give James one point for actually being funny for a while, but once this guy lost all his "comedic aura", it became clear that he wasn't meant for the main roster scene or any real wrestling scene for that matter."

He wasn't a good wrestler, the only decent things I saw was an amazing AJ Styles carry job to make people think he might actually win. He is now strongly on the do not attend a show he is booked on list."

It makes him a former Ms. Money in the Bank! And obviously, he was indeed a joke in the ring with barely any actual skill."

The story between Ambrose and Styles was not very interesting in my opinion and James developed it very positively. Especially since I found Ambrose from those years boring. James lost in quality in 2017, since his alliance with Carmella, it started out fun and then it only got worse, especially since his brief return in 2018."

I cannot think of one thing James Ellsworth had going for him that contributed to wrestling in a positive way, he looked and acted like he was not even trained just thrown in the ring."

However I would certainly argue that WWE ended up pushing him harder than he should have been. Had his entire run lasted no more than a month, I think we would have looked back on the Ellsworth experiment a bit more fondly. But having him pretty much dominate AJ was sad. Oh, and everything he did with Carmella was the shits."

[4.0] "Ellsworth was a great example of making the most of an opportunity - he was a decent in-ring worker, but had not even close to the kind of look or physique WWE would normally go for. But, when booked for a squash match against Braun Strowman, he was able to turn his "any man with two hands... " line, and himself by extension, into a meme and then parlay that into an actual run with WWE as an underdog face, and when that character began to wear thin, turning into an effective obnoxious heel. Even after his release, he continued as a regular independent fixture while still making recurring WWE appearances. Unfortunately he effectively torpedoed his career when he was caught sending inappropriate photos to a minor."

I was right he did not last in WWE that long. In the years to come I say people will forget about him just like "Gangnam Style"."

"It's unfair to give him a rating solely on his squash matches in WWE, so I'll just say what I think of his recent time there. It was a fine few weeks to start out with, but on a personal level, I believe the story should have already ended. He was originally used to help build the story between Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles, but now I think they're using too much time on him. Not a bad wrestler, but just someone whose too much in the limelight."
