[7.0] "Unfairly thought of as the Jannetty of MNM, Nitro was no better than Mercury, he just got the better push. Mercury never got that big push but he did well in every role given to him"

[6.0] "Mercury was a good indy wrestler before he came to WWE. In WWE he focus on tag team wrestling. He first had a great tag team with a young up and comer in John Morrison. This was his peak in WWE as the rest of his run was as a job guy in larger factions."

[6.0] "I rate him about the same as his partner, Nitro/Morrison. Strictly meant for tag team wrestling, wasn't that good on his own."

[6.0] "He was fine in MNM being the guy who could actually work a match (Morrison wasn't exactly very good during this time outside of a few spots he did like every second match) but outside of that, nothing worth mentioning. Nothing offensive but nothing worth going over."

[3.0] "Along with nitro, this dude is also a turd. Mnm was the best thing he did and it didn? t last long. Not sure what happened to him but I? m glad he? s not on my tv screen anymore. I probably shouldn? t even be rating him because I literally only saw his wwe stuff and there wasn? t much there to see."

[6.0] "Never found the same level of singles success that Johnny did. That said, Joey was not bad by any means. As MNM, they were the first new tag team in many years that people cared about. The act was really well put together & I think they ended too soon. As a singles in WWE, Joey never did much. His return with the SES should have been more than it was, but for multiple reasons that faction came & went too soon. During his time in the indies he put together a string of good matches, but I could never help but to look at his as a poor man's Morrison."

[6.0] "I used to think Mercury was a great underrated wrestler but looking back now, I see that he really wasn't much more than okay."

[4.0] "Not bad in the ring, but bogged down by his own demons."

[7.0] "Joey Mercury is an ECW original, good singles wrestler and a great tag team wrester who can work well, and be a good annoying heel. However, despite being a very seasoned veteran with wins over some big names, his career was tainted by both drug problems and serious injuries (especially the Armageddon 2006 incident that literally made his nose explode). The fact that he could be in his wrestling prime now, but instead is in semi-retirement, is an unfortunate reality. Lets hope he's happy working as a trainer."
