[4.0] "Not a BAD worker by any means, but pretty limited, especially by the time he hit his 40s in the 80s and became sluggish to watch. While he displays solid prowess as a tag competitor in his early years, he was always the weaker link compared to Ole or even Lars. The Minnesota Stretching Crew was a legendary tag team, but that's moreso due to the incredible charisma and tag work of Ole, who would continue to do so with Arn. While the team was impactful in many ways, Gene's work doesn't hold up to that reputation, and is best remembered as an influence rather than a pure worker."

[8.0] "As one half of the legendary Minnesota Wrecking Crew tag team Gene Anderson deserves a lot of credit for helping solidify tag team wrestling as a mandatory staple of pro wrestling territories around the world. From 1968 to 1981 he was a steady main event presense in Georgia and the Carolinas along with his brother Ole. drawing big houses wherever they went. Gene pretty much wrote the book when it comes to tag team wrestling psychology. Great wrestler."

[7.0] "Good tough guy but he was really overshaddowed by his partner Ole. Too bad Gene has been all but forgotten because he was a hell of a wrestler and great as a tag team guy."
