"Possibly the most important wrestlers to ever step into a ring, Ed The Strangler Lewis along with Toots Mondt and Billy Sandow revolutionized professional wrestling into sports entertainment, and the sport we have today. If it wasn't for Lewis, we wouldn't have had Dusty Rhodes, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Austin, Rock, Cody, The Sheild, Kenny Omega, MJF, Ric Flair or even Lou Thesz for that matter. The Goldust Trio took what wrestling was back in the day, and turned a 1 match show into a card of matches forcing wrestlers to fall into time limits, they created the use of finishers, and signature moves, they made professional wrestling what it would become and their contributions can't be overlooked.
