[5.0] "I'm honestly OK with Otis. He does his role as a comedy role quite well. He's not the best in ring but he's great at connecting with the crowd and I find his tag work with Tozawa pretty entertaining!"

Josh76 wrote on 03.11.2025:
[4.0] "Not really a fan, his style is blah. I get the baby face he is, but he is no huge star. The farthest I see him going rn was with his connection with Chad Gable. By himself or with just Akira and Maxxine, I don't see his worth."
Anthony4444 wrote on 15.10.2025:
[8.0] "I'll never understand the idea of rating a wrestler based on their push. The guy was Mr. MITB, so what? Was he supposed to turn it down? Otis is cool, far from bad in the ring. According to Bryan Danielson, he could've even surprised us. Stuck somewhere between a powerhouse and a comedy act, his case perfectly shows WWE's creative laziness. Finding the right balance for him might've been tricky, but they ultimately chose to do nothing with him. A solid even very solid performer"
kewf1988 wrote on 16.06.2025:
[6.0] "Not the greatest in-ring, but just oozes charisma and the ball was dropped with him twice, first in 2020 and then in 2024, for no good reason. He'll never be a world champion, but he should have had a few midcard title reigns, as Truth, Santino, and even Ryder got them."

[8.0] "I was expecting a higher rating here. Otis is one of WWE's most unique and entertaining big men, blending surprising athleticism with natural comedic timing. He quickly endeared himself to fans with his quirky charisma, expressive reactions, and infectious energy. What makes Otis stand out is that, despite being presented largely as a comedy act, he can move incredibly well for his size and brings a believable physicality to his matches. "The Caterpillar" might be goofy, but his suplexes and slams pack real impact. His solo push in 2020 (Money in the Bank / romance with Mandy Rose) showed that WWE saw some star potential in him. Unfortunately probably due to no fans in the arena, that push fizzled out, and the momentum never fully returned. Despite that, Otis has remained a reliable role player. Whether he's getting laughs, taking bumps, or backing up others in tag matches, he delivers with consistency. His current run with Alpha Academy has added new life to his character. The dynamic between serious wrestling and comedy is something Otis navigates well, making him a valuable utility player. He may never be a top singles star, but his connection with the crowd and versatility give him a secure spot on the roster. Otis is proof that not every wrestler needs to be a world champion to be memorable or valuable"

[1.0] "He's funny and has a little charisma and that's about all I can say about him that I think is positive. Ok, I'm going to be as polite, diplomatic and tactful as I can possibly be here...his build is such that he looks like a cartoon character that wished to be a real person and it came true. He's so stocky that he's almost completely neutralized any athleticism he may have had prior to that. He's also billed at 5'10" and I'm not buying that. He was way better off in Heavy Machinery. Sure the Mandy Rose story got him over for about 8 months but even that was cringeworthy nonsense."
mistaroni wrote on 17.03.2025:
[7.0] "I give him a 7 because he is very good at what his job is (i.e. being a comedy lower-card wrestler). But also because of that he has basically reached his ceiling. In the ring, he's decent, and the crowd likes him."
tlaustin wrote on 29.01.2025:
[6.0] "He is charisma personified but the in ring stuff isn't there most of the time due to how limited he is. Excellent mid-card guy whose ceiling is tag titles or a mid-card belt if you have no one else around. I love watching him but I never feel compelled to revisit anything he does. Seems like a lovely guy."
ComplianceMike wrote on 10.01.2025:
[9.0] "One of my favourites to watch. I won't sit here and type how he is a the best technical wrestler, however his character work and the agility he has for his size, is a major point. His relatable charm works well on the angles he is given and he can tie it up with some of the best. Seeing an Otis card on the match is always an appeal for me."
AceHagann wrote on 30.12.2024:
[4.0] "I don't see it in Otis. Comedic or not, he is very mediocre, maybe bad even. Not a fun in-ring work to watch, same goes for promos and backstage segments. Back in Heavy Machinery he was still not that great. Not great as a solo show, which somehow managed to win Money In The Bank. And definitely not great as an Alpha Academy member."
TripleCrown wrote on 27.12.2024:
[5.0] "Great comedy wrestler. In-ring wise he isn't anything good, but the whole comedic aspect of his character is great to watch. Would like to see what he could do as a heel, but I don't think that'll ever happen given how popular he is being goofy. Never really stood out aside from his ability to make people laugh."

I hope the story with Alpha Academy will lead him to something different in the mid-card. I think he do not specially deserves a secondary title for now but he can do some stories and cool tag tema runs. We will see what HHH plans for him."

Overall, he is a powerhouse that really relys on gimmick moves like "the worm" to get a strong reaction from the crowd to make him more interesting. However, his organic reception from the crowd is now REALLY strong and I hope this rating increases."

[7.0] "i really was not a fan of otis during his megapush in 2020, but i think he is capable of more than what a lot of people think. daniel bryan said a few years ago that he thinks otis would blow peoples minds if he was in NJPW, and i can kind of see it, but he's done so little on his own it's hard to know if thats really true. i think he has something special when it comes to the crowd though. they loved the mandy rose/dolph ziggler angle way more than they would have with anyone else in that position, and even recently the crowd is so strongly behind him in this chad gable story despite him doing nothing of importance for what feels like years now. it's part of the reason why his MITB run was so weak. without the crowd, he loses so much of his appeal. he might never reach that height again, but the crowd is once again extremely behind him and he might have a really good run ahead of him when he does break free from the alpha academy."

I understand why he might not be for everyone its a select type of humor and im ok with that. Hes pretty solid in tag matches with gable and I think if him and alpha academy keeps doing what they are doing I think they'll get more and more over."

His gimnick is very goofy, but like someone like MickFoley/Dude Love, that goofiness really adds up and makes him very likable and funny. I hope he gets a title one day, even though he is not close to the top in his current state."

[10.0] "Otis is perfect in his role. He has a ridiculous amount of charisma that steals the show. He is funny but still believable as a threat. He is athletic for his size, strong, and hard hitting. He isn't flashy, but he doesn't need to be. He is so incredibly likeable and is must-watch for me in any segment. His stuff with Chad Gable has been the best part of WWE at times in the last few years. He is the definition of "making the most out of his minutes". I get that he isn't getting five stars from the observer, but that's not what I want from him."

Was the best part in Heavy Machinery, was the best part in the storyline with Mandy Rose, is the best part of Alpha Academy-Maximum Male Models storyline. Probably could have had a feel-good run with the WWE Championship during COVID instead of The Miz, but for Otis is great in the position they have him in. Kind of a missed opportunity though, could have been much more."

I will say I was rooting for him big time in the Mandy Rose storyline, and seeing him win Money in the Bank was nice even if there was no chance of him ever winning the title."

He started off as eh, eventually became alright but not MITB winner worthy.. then alpha academy came along and I enjoy his stuff way more than I did before, AA are one of the most entertaining teams right now. If he goes back to the goofy face he used to be, it'll work. And if he goes heel and joins MMM.. not only will it be funny, it'll also likely work. His improvement is crazy and he's also in his early 30s too which is nice, I look forward to talking about his improvement more in A year or two."

[6.0] "Otis is a decent comedy wrestler, and has had some good gimmicks, but other than that, there's not much there. His run in Heavy Machinery was fun, but that was because Otis made it fun. The Mandy Rose storyline was extremely fun to watch, and had me really invested. Now in Alpha Academy, I have to say, I love these two guys. Otis brings the power and a pinch of comedy from his Heavy Machinery days (it's there, you gotta look for it) to contrast with Chad's own comedy and beautiful ring work. However, Otis lacks in actual wrestling, and needs to figure out how to use his size to become a good wrestler."

[8.0] "One of the guys who grew on me. I thought at first when he came in doing the kids character tag team thing, followed by the angle with Mandy (which i heard was a real thing and that he really did have a crush on her), that he was miscast for someone who looked like he did, and wouldn't be around too long. However, when he aligned/teamed with Gable, and started showing a mean streak/ monster vibes by injuring guys left and right I said ok he's got something here. Because he started working the way someone who looks like him should work, dropped all of the childish antics he was doing before, and changed his look up a lot so that the new side of him would be taken seriously. Since the move to RAW, he's been a great utility player as both a singles and a tag, had solid matches with whoever they've put him in there with, and while alpha academy still does silly stuff here and there...they've at least got across to the audience that they're both legit and not people to mess with in a shoot if one went down."

I was afraid that without Tucker he would be lost and nothing would be achieved, but I was very wrong. Since Alpha Academy, Otis has had his best moment in his career, was the RAW Tag Team Champion, and has plenty of time on TV. I hope he will continue to grow and that WWE will not give him comedy gimnicks and stupid ideas like giving him a Money in The Bank."

A walking piece of furniture that can plow through almost any kind of offense you throw at him, and it's not like he can't move either, Otis can definitely put in the work. His character work is also top tier, his program with Mandy Rose in 2020 was one of the best storylines on WWE at the time and Heavy Machinery was a great tag in their own right, and while others may miss the more comedic Otis and I'll admit I certainly do it's not like he hasn't gotten over and had more success as Chad Gable's heavy."
