[5.0] "Shayna Baszler is overrated. She was never been a good wrestler and don't give me that NXT talk because she was awful even then and continues to be awful to this day. She is very believable in the ring that's the only reason I haven't lowered her rating even further."

[5.0] "Shayna Baszler was so sick in NXT and then she just... fell off. Put the booking aside, there is an obvious decline with her promo and ring work too. She just doesn't move me at all these days and I wish that wasn't the case."

[9.0] "I can't believe that WWE fumbled her, everything started going downhill when she lost to becky at WrestleMania(where she was supposed to win...)"

[7.0] "Shayna is a tough and legitimate wrestler in the ring who implements her mma background very well in to her work. While certainly not the best on the mic she can and has made up with it just with her intensity alone. All of these qualities truly shown through during her run NXT where she had a solid title run and put on some good matches. It felt like she could have been prominent on the main roster but this was derailed pretty quickly after she lost to Becky (who ended up relinquishing the belt not that long afterwards anyways) at mania. I felt like this killed any momentum she had and didn't pick back up again until her feud with rousey where she actually but WWE didn't really do anything with her afterwards. I feel like if given the oppurtunity she could play a role well even if it's just being a second in a stable like her friend Marina Shafir."

[6.0] "Baszler brings a rare level of legitimacy to pro wrestling with her MMA background and submission-heavy style. Her style worked well in NXT, she was a dominant champion who made every match feel like a fight. Her character work as a cold, calculated force stood out in a division often built on flash. Her presence, intensity, and unique offense set her apart. But once on the main roster, her heat fizzled out. To the WWE's credit, they did try - she had some dominant early booking and won the feud with Rousey. But she struggled to get over with a lack of charisma and could not overcome that hurdle"

[6.0] "Very good in the ring, but zero mic skills or charisma, which is why she failed on the main roster. In NXT and MMA she could get away with this, but not on Raw and Smackdown."

[6.0] "Shayna Baszler has always been challenging for me to evaluate, I think she works a lot better as a concept than in practice at least. A stoogey MMA fighter should be an easy ticket to success, but her actual in-ring work is passable, but not exemplary, not to mention that most of her best performances are when the match is 15 minutes or shorter, in fact, I'm not sure Baszler's ever had a truly great long match. That alone doesn't make someone bad, but it puts a very firm ceiling on one's position on the card, and that's one of the main reasons why once she got called up to the main roster, she was just stuck in mid-card purgatory even under Triple H. She's not a bad worker by any means, and there's a spot for a good hand like her anywhere, from ROH to TNA. However, I think it would be in her best interest to try and find work with a joshi promotion, as she works quite well with those kinds of wrestlers and could carve out a solid niche for herself. Honestly, in many ways, Shayna Baszler is kind of like a less extreme version of Goldberg, she's obviously much better technically and can at least work a solid 10 minutes, but both are ultimately underwhelming performers despite originally being presented in a very strong manner early on in their careers. Baszler is a decent hand, and at 44, she's not likely to change at this point of her career."

[4.0] "Shayna Baszler always felt quite forgettable to me. A middle of the road wrestler who was always just there. Whether this was because of WWE's booking of her, or her own shortcomings remains to be seen, bringing some intrigue to her release. I look forward to seeing where she pops up next and if she'll prove me wrong."

[6.0] "Bayzler started out in NXT with loads of promise. Her main roster call up would also see her booked extremely strong...... remember the Elimination Chamber a couple of years ago. Since then she has struggled to carve out herself a role - mostly not her fault, just poor booking. Her aura has diminished massively, ultimately leading to her being released. Will be interesting to see where she ends up next - a new start could be exactly what she needs, but where?"

[2.0] "In my opinion, she is not a satisfactory character. She repels me with her appearance and behavior. She is not worthy of my watching, she stands out negatively from other wrestlers. It is true that she sometimes has good matches, but in my opinion, most of them are unsatisfactory and not impressive. She is definitely not my favorite when it comes to female wrestlers in WWE. She does not have good playmaking and finishing moves, she is also not very strong in terms of endurance. I tolerate her, but nothing more. She is not worth my attention, but I respect people who like her, although I do not understand it. She is not the worst, so I can not give 0 or 1 in the rating, however, as I mentioned earlier, in my opinion she is simply not worthy of attention. I think she should change her style a little, although I tolerate what she is now, however, it does not satisfy me. A simple 2 and that's it. There is no point in writing and complaining about this opinion."

[3.0] "Not meant to be an entertainer just like Zoey she lack charisma, mic skills and overall is boring. Without those you can't cut it as a pro wrestler. She's passable in the ring and that's that never once saw a match of hers that made me want to see more...if anything it made me want to see less. Majority of her wrestling is submission holds which i get but it gets very tiresome and repetitive. The only move i like of hers is the arm stom where she wrenches the hand and steps on the fingers to lock it and then stomps. I just believe she's not a good entertainer, she's better suited for UFC or perhaps a trainer. I feel a small TNA run where she challenges Masha can benefit her."

[7.0] "she has incredible submission skills, but basic mic skills, she should go back to when she was a threat in the ring now she feels like he's lost her shine"

[9.0] "One of the best champions in the modern era. I wish her Raw run was even remotely good and that she'd gotten to have major matches with Dakota for the NXT title (dropping it on a Takeover would have been good) but when she left NXT, something about the show did as well. She was a stablising presence and helped transition to the new talent of NXT perfectly."

[5.0] "Shayna Baszler gets a 5/10 from me because, while she's technically solid and believable in her role, she hasn't consistently clicked for me. She has moments where she shines, but her character work and presence don't always keep me invested. I can't remember a single promo of hers."

[4.0] "An example of how experience in other combat sports doesn't always translate into good professional wrestlers. Her in-ring work is bland and uninspired, she might as well not use the mic, and her presence amounts to a deafening silence. Even in her NXT days, where there was the most buzzing around her name, she was still bad. Other women from that time deserved the kind of push she got way more."

[3.0] "Once in a while, theres superstars who are under pushed, who had the talent and skills to be become something greater. Shayna is the unique case of a wrestler being over pushed to the moon at the cost of burying other wrestlers while she herself probably benefited the least from her massive pushes, truly bizarre. Back in NXT and her first year on the MR; she was one of the most over pushed people despite nobody really caring; to now where she can beat stars like Ronda Rousey and nobody cares because quite frankly shes a charisma vacuum. Some names that were sacrificed for her legendary push include Io Shirai, Kairi Sane, Bianca Belair, and many more. The 2020 elimination chamber has to be one of the worst examples of burying talent for her."

[5.0] "She's got a great moveset and brutality to her, especially amongst the women's division, but anything revolving around the mic or storytelling and everything Baszler falls flat. Her tag team with Stark hasn't really led to anything, and the entire unit of Pure Fusion Collective just feels like busywork to keep the squad occupied."

[5.0] "Shayna Bazlor had an entertaining run in NXT, has a very believable character and a great finisher; but she is quite clearly not on the level of her peers and hasn't had a good time past her time in NXT. Unfortunately, Ronda Rousey's run seemed to swallow up her momentum now even with Ronda gone it seems Shayna can't quite find her place in the division. She desperately needs a character reset."

[1.0] "I like her run in NXT in the past, dominant, but there came a time when she was completely forced, especially in her feud with Becky Lynch in 2020, I'm talking specifically about the Women's Elimination Chamber match in 2020, booking wasted a triple Riott Squad rivalry that had a lot of potential, to force Shayna even more, and over time from 2020 onwards, to compensate for the forced ones they gave her, she simply had no charisma at all from 2020 to today, her skills in the ring are bad, she is a terrible seller for the moves, watching her wrestle makes you want to yawn, boring character, just no. She is like Ronda Rousey, she is not made for wrestling, but for MMA. Since 2021 she has been a jobber, and when she wins a match, she receives 0 reaction from the crowd, and only participates in tag teams, her decline in WWE really scares me."

[7.0] "Thought she was so cool and badass in NXT, I really thought that shed have a great career in WWE. Shes decent at promos, definitely better in the ring than her friend Ronda. But them having Charlotte win the 2020 RR instead of Shayna was one of the worst things to happen to her career, that was the perfect opportunity to introduce her to the main roster and have her be a dominant force there, and that was the plan until they decided to have that unnecessary win for Charlotte. And then she lost to Becky, just to have Becky later relinquish the title due to pregnancy & give it to Asuka. After that it became clear that Vince had no interest in her and now today shes been put in a boring faction with Zoey & Sonya where she gets no reactions. She had a good match with Lola Vice at Battleground & its a shame Triple H wont just let her go back to being the star she was in NXT."

[10.0] "I love Shayna. She was fantastic in NXT. So refreshing, super bad ass. It's a great shame she floundered on the main roster and had her great theme taken away from her. Thankfully she's had something of a renaissance lately with her main roster team with Stark & Deville, as well as her appearances for Josh Barnett's Bloodsport."

[6.0] "I'm not sure what happened to Shayna Baszler. She was a dominant talent on NXT with an air of legitimacy due to her previous run in mixed martial arts but she seems to have hit a wall on the main roster and is unable to get past a certain threshold. Her main roster started off with incredible promise, she had 8 eliminations in the 2020 Royal Rumble and later won the Elimination Chamber. She seemed poised to take the title from Becky Lynch at that years Wrestlemania until she lost via roll up and she hasn't seemed to recover. Reportedly this was largely due to Vince but she's yet to reach the heights she was able to reach in her early WWE run. She's still a fantastic talent whose a great hand to have on the card but I don't see her becoming any more than that."

[6.0] "Back in the 'Black and Gold' era of NXT, I was a huge fan of Shayna Baszler, she played a damn good heel and had great matches with just about everyone. She was probably THE most feared woman on that roster during that era. A lot of time has passed by since then and it feels as though ever since she's come up to the main roster, Shayna's character and value been watered down and she isn't the same woman she used to be. Basically becoming a jobber has made people care much less for her than ever before. I do think Shayna is still world championship material, and they should tap into that because she could be a really good heel champion one day."

[9.0] "I never understood why they had her tear through Elimination Chamber match like she was an unstoppable force just to lose all of that momentum through bad booking. She is a real athlete with a lot of talent in Wrestling. Her kirifuda clutch is often used for WAYYY too long. She's supposed to be able to put someone to sleep in seconds as a trained MMA fighter but used to regularly have the kirifuda clutch locked in for many minutes at a time before they tapped or passed out. But finishing move aside, she is a great talent and should have had a much better run on the main roster as a dangerous and feared legitimate badass. Instead she was scared of a doll called Lily and got thrown into tag teams with so many random, illogical pairings. Shame."

[6.0] "In NXT she was an 8 or 9. Her promos weren't great but they were good enough that you believed what she was saying. Her matches and the output in them was outstanding and she really never had a bad match there. However, that was now several years ago and everything since then has just...kind of happened? The lowest point was the tag team with Ronda because the latter wasn't into it at all and it showed. I don't know what her career goals are but she's not getting younger and she'd probably benefit from working somewhere else."

[6.0] "It hurts to rate her as low as I have to because I loved her run in Black and Gold as the Queen of Spades, the unstoppable, violent and dominant champion. She doesn't really deliver on this level anymore + she doesn't get booked like that anymore. Sadly, she's just alright at the moment, I hope that can change sooner rather than later."

[4.0] "I think anything less than a 4 is a little harsh because she's not awful in-ring. She clearly likes professional wrestling and is pretty good at it, but she just lacks charisma. She's awful on the mic, the worst thing they could ever do is let her talk, her voice doesn't match her appearance nor does it match her persona as an MMA fighter. I know it's pretty wild to say that her voice doesn't match, but it is a genuine criticism and is something WWE should've worked around. She has a ceiling, you could put her in there with a main event talent and she would do well, but other than that she's just quite bland."

[4.0] "Ngl, Shayna Baszler is kinda bad. I mean, she can't really talk, act nor do comedy. She is not very strong, big nor fast. She is technically sound but boring in the ring. Her NXT title reign is probably the worst in the history of the title and lasted for far too long for no reason. Meh."

[4.0] "Her reign in NXT as a former professional MMA submission champion was cool, even if it was a little too long for my tastes. Unfortunately, this kind of reign only works once and she didn't have what it took to reinvent herself. Not enough charisma for the Main Roster, slow, limited in-ring, too little gifted on the microphone to be as intense as she need to be to carry his character. I somewhat believed in the team she formed with Ronda Rousey and thought that her victory against her (even if it was poorly done) would allow her to try something else. False alarm."

[6.0] "A late bloomer in the wrestling word, I admire her ability to take part in any storyline/matchup unlike some of her counterparts. However, she's cooled down for a couple of years and struggled to stay relevant after her dominant run in NXT. She's good in the ring but lacks the charisma to be on top of the card."

[7.0] "I always love seeing Shayna in just about any capacity, and its amazing that she's at such a high workrate for how late into her life she became a wrestler. It's unfortunate that as a member of the main WWE roster she is unable to get the amount of care or presentation that she was once privy to, but as long as she's still an active competitor she will always be one of my favorites."

[3.0] "She sucks on the mic, she's meh in the ring, and I don't like watching her feuds or matches. I think we all know why. She's a very flat heel and shows ZERO character development and minimal charisma. It's dreadful when she's on screen doing offense in a match or cutting a promo or doing basically anything. I don't know how she was in NXT but if it was anything like this than jesus christ send her back. Idk why she's overrated. Idk if people like her because she could be a legit MMA fighter or what but out of all the MMA artist-become-WWE Fighters we've seen like Ken Shamrock, Ronda Rousey, and Dan Severn she's definitely the worst and the least imposing imo."

[5.0] "Baszler is a legit fighter. She has the MMA background, she is very technical in the ring, she has the physicality, the agressive mean streak but unfortunately she hasn't found something that clicks neither as a face nor a heel. She found it in NXT but couldn't replicate that huge success on the main roster."

[9.0] "Shayna in NXT was lit! She still can go with it but WWE never let her do her job. It's such a shame. She is an amazing wrestler with very technic move set and I hope HHH will make her badass once again."

[8.0] "I believe Shayna could have the same run she had in NXT. She has amazing in ring skills that alot of women do not have in WWE. But her booking has been trash since she's been on the main roster. Nevertheless I believe she can pose as an actual threat if she actually had some proper booking that made her a threat."

[7.0] "Decent in the ring, believable catch-wrestling style. Not the best seller, nor is she great on the mic, but she gets the job done as a solid heel in the women's division."

[8.0] "The former MMA practitioner is one of the best submission specialists in WWE, and her run in NXT was her best, where she looked like a proper killer. She hasn't been the same on the main roster, partly due to her atrocious booking at times, but also because it feels she isn't as interested as she used to be, but still, Baszler I think, if handled correctly, can be a proper star on Raw or Smackdown. But right now, she has been reduced to a tag team specialist in a shallow division."

[5.0] "One of the most overpushed wrestlers in NXT, her grip on the women's division was more akin to a reign of terror than Triple H, at a time when NXT was at its peak her matches on takeovers stood out like a sore thumb for being nothing above average. And that's not a knock on the women as they had plenty of talented female competitors I'd have preferred to see them get a reign with the belt over Baszler near two year stranglehold. Her main roster run has been much of the same but at least she hasn't been pushed as a top star, I don't think she's just bad however, and I thought she should have gone over Lynch after a monster run at EC 2020, but since then she's done nothing of note."

[7.0] "NXT Shayna would've easily gotten a 9+ rating from me but she has regressed a lot on the main roster. She's been put in the tag division several times for some reason and her current pairing with Ronda hasn't done anybody favours. If anything, she should be FEUDING with Ronda but they'd rather have her playing second fiddle. Her matches in the past three years have ranged from mediocre to plain bad but that's more so on the booking than her. She may look like a shadow of her past now but a dominant solo run would not only benefit her, but the entire SD women's division. Let's hope we get that soon."

[8.0] "Easily the best of the MMA Horsewomen and one of my favorites in WWE's female roster. Her short indy run prior to WWE was good and I absolutely loved her NXT run. Since moving to the main roster she hasn't been given that many chances to shine but she still has that badass air around her when wrestles. Hopefully her new pairing with Ronda will help move her up the card."

[7.0] "NXT Shayna was amazing. Since her main roster call up though she is missing something. She still can have good matches but she is not allowed to be the MMA monster she was on NXT. Was never the most polished on the mic. Booking has also held her down on the main roster."

[3.0] "Very overrated, was supposed to be the brock lesnar of the womens division but that failed, and its not that surprising, bad in ring and horrible at mic, didn't like her even at nxt tbh, she is just a boring dominator"

[5.0] "I loved her at NXT, I loved the building for her match against Becky Linch but After She Lost It She automatically became an undercarder and She Is still only an undcarder, the person you PIN in a fatal four way but that could be a monster. So sad for this. **1/2"

[4.0] "I hate these UFC fighters who come to WWE and just dominate everything. Shayna is a great example of this. She manages to play good games but is always loaded and she just never manages to stand out. It's always someone's shadow like it's been Ronda's and it's been Nia Jax's. She simply shouldn't be there."

[5.0] "Dreadful on the mic. Overhyped in the ring. I don't see the hype around Shayna baszler. Her recent push vs Liv was awful. She can work tho. So 5 is fair."

[7.0] "Shayna Baszler is a killer with a legit background and a pretty solid stiff wrestler. I'm not sure if WWE is the best environment for her working style though, as she's been relegated to a lower midcard heel for most of her time on the main roster. What a waste of talent."

[6.0] "She's got a great presence and her promo ability as a badass heel is top notch. She's very believable in the ring as well. However, most of the time it just doesn't click. In NXT even when she was pushed properly, her matches always felt somewhat underwhelming. That's not always the case and great wrestlers like Sane and Shirai have gotten great performances out of her. Consistently though it has been a struggle. Now on the main roster, it's tough to see because her booking hasn't been good. I thought for sure she would be pushed like a monster heel so her booking is certainly one of the bigger headscratchers."

[8.0] "I adore her inside and outside the ring. I think she's a lot more fun than people give her credit for, she's played so many roles well from comedic to powerful champion."

[8.0] "I like Baszler. She adds a legitimacy that is rare in women's wrestling. I really enjoyed her run as NXT champ. She has a practical shoot style that is meant to hurt her opponents. I think she is easy to book as a viscous, ruthless heel."

[8.0] "I initially did not enjoy Shayna's work at all. Her NXT title run dragged hard and all her matches felt plodding and had no heat, with only a few exceptions. I was dreading her inevitable main roster call up and presumed monster push. It ended up being a very brief push, as she would lose to a pregnant Becky Lynch and WrestleMania and then vanish from TV for around two months. When she came back, she entered into a program with Sasha and Bayley, and that is when I began to appreciate her work more. She sped up significantly in order to keep up with Bayley and especially Sasha. Her limb work is second to none, and her strikes usually look real. She has a great look and a very intimidating presence. Her promos are not great though, and her bumping is kinda poor, but besides those issues she is awesome. Hope she wins the women's title before she retires."
