[8.0] "The longevity of Japan's deathmatch wrestlers is honestly insane - Jun, Ryuji, Abdullah, all realistically should've retired a decade ago but yet they keep going and going and going. Ryuji obviously can't do what he used to, but in his prime few could touch what he was doing in deathmatches. Can still put on a decent enough match, especially in a tag, and seems to understand his limitations. Watch anything he did around 2005/10 if you want to see him at his best."

[7.0] "This comes from a Jun Kasai admirer: Ryuji Ito is good but he takes things too far and too often. He has the skills but seemingly lacks Crazy Monkey's creativity and fills in with some of the most disturbing stunts I've seen in a wrestling ring, just for the shock factor. Still way way above any death match wrestler I've seen bar perhaps pre-first neck injury Tomoaki Honma."
