[10.0] "Not only a fantastic brawler but also possesses a keen understanding of the psychology of wrestling and is capable of combining elements of technical wrestling and even a bit of speed/high-flying-based offense for a unique and adaptable style. It was a bit surprising that WWE picked him up in the first place as his look doesn't fit the stereotypical "WWE type, " but his talent is undeniable and with many big names within WWE getting behind him, hopefully he can rise to the top and not become victimized by company politics or a fickle creative team. From the two times I met him on the NY indy scene not long before his signing, he seems like a super-nice guy IRL, and deserves the success coming his way."

[10.0] "Of all the guys to ever come out of Ring of Honor, he seemed the LEAST likely to succeed in the world of sports entertainment. But ever since he came to WWE, guys like Stone Cold and The Rock have been putting him over as the Next Big Thing. As well they should, because Kevin is one of the best brawlers in the world today. He was great in ROH, and ROH is definitely missing him. Only time will tell if Kevin will follow in the footsteps of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan and achieve success on his own terms in the largest wrestling company in the world."

[7.0] "After being one of the cornerstones of ROH (in addition to being a destroyer on the indie scene), Kevin Owens has finally made his big splash into the WWE as part of the NXT roster. By the time he made his second appearance on an NXT Super Show, he had already won the NXT Championship by knockout. Though he's obviously a placeholder for Finn Balor, this is certainly a sign of respect for a guy who lives and bleeds pro wrestling."

TheTroof wrote on 17.01.2015:
[10.0] "Owens is always fun to watch in the ring. Whether he performs high flying moves or sets the tempo for an all out brawl he always entertains. Despite his size, he can still hang with the best technical wrestlers out there. He's an amazing performer who shows a ton of passion for wrestling through his in ring and out ring work."
Wolfpac4Life wrote on 27.12.2014:
[9.0] "YES. I've been really looking forward to rate Kevin Steen/Owens. I've been huge fan of his work ever since he became big name in indies like ROH or PWG, where his series of matches with El Generico himself were quite a memorable. And more memorable was the impact he made when debuted at NXT Revolution by powerbombing Sami Zayn/El Generico. He will be great addition to NXT roster, and even better in couple of years, when he gets called up to main roster, as his potential is off the charts."
