[8.0] "One of my favorite matches of all time is Dunne vs. Tyler Bate Chicago Takeover 2017. Not just WWE match but ever. It should be considered wrestling terrorism to have him doing the shitty gimmick he's doing now."

[6.0] "Dunne's joint manipulation and especially that silly obsession with fingers has gotta be one of the most annoying thing in pro wrestling as far as I'm concerned. It simply annoys the hell out of me whenever he's having a solid match and pulls this kind of trash off. It's a pity because he's a decent worker. He's a tough guy who brings the right amount of violence and can play the role of the nasty midget quite well. But his lack of charisma shows and those mean faces of his feel so forced it's actually hard to watch, let alone take seriously, especially with such a terrible attire on top of that. Oh, and he can't even cut promos. I would not say he's that bad because he can actually wrestle pretty well, but I don't get the appeal his rating suggests as I would consider Pete Dunne mid at best."

[9.0] "Pete Dunne (aka Butch) is one of the most consistent and hard-hitting technicians of the modern era. His joint manipulation style and stiff strikes make every match feel gritty and believable. Whether he's tearing it up in NXT UK, delivering bangers in NXT, or grinding it out on the main roster, he brings an intensity that few can match. His "Bruiserweight" persona felt fresh and authentic, and even through gimmick changes, his in-ring work hasn't faltered. A legit standout in both tag and singles action. Give the man his flowers--he's been elite for a long time."

[5.0] "this guy is horror I hate everything about him from style to in ring moveset to presentation everything is off i just don't see what people see in him. The finger shit is awaful and if u want to do that you already have like arm destroyers why is this guy focusing in fingers ik he's just so cringe to me."

[9.0] "Underappreciated wrestler with good in-ring work effort and IQ. Definitely deserves the increase in screen time he has been getting with Penta and Kaiser. Hopefully will continue to develop upon some of his weaknesses, and will gain more of a push in the future"

[6.0] "Pete Dunne is an excellent in-ring performer, but he definitely needs to step up his game when it comes to mic skills and promos. Personally, I find his joint-breaking and finger manipulation gimmick rather dull, and he hasn't really been involved in many compelling storylines. In my opinion, he truly excels in tag team matches rather than as a singles competitor."

[5.0] "Pete Dunne is fantastic.... In the ring. He is lacking everywhere else though. While I do like Pete Dunne to a certain extent and I enjoy some of his work, he was always kind of a boring promo to listen to and I'm not surprised that he hasn't gone further yet. The guy doesn't have a good character at all besides "I'm gonna break this guys fingers ooo I'm crazy" and even that he seems to fail to live up to. He just isn't that special. 5/10"

[6.0] "I'm not interested in Pete Dunne as he has little charisma, although his matches are OK now. To be honest, Butch has been my favourite character, yet it's probably his only character. It worked very well for him. I don't think he will ever hit the big time"

[10.0] "He was much more interesting in NXT, in the main roster he was not treated with the respect he deserves, especially with the stint as Butch, which was shameful towards him. Now he is recovering and is providing excellent performances, but not at the levels of those of NXT and NXT UK. He is one of the best wrestlers in WWE."

[5.0] "Don't understand the hype for him. Yeah i see the vision at times but he can't string it together consistently enough for me to actually highly rate him. Don't like his promos all though they have developed, he's just really underwhelming for me. Maybe once his booking gets better and he can actually form chemistry with some of the guys I'll rate him higher but as of now he's just a "eh, he's whatever" guy for me."

[4.0] "Never been a fan, but his work since returning as Pete Dunne has been egregious. His promos are nearly always boring, he looks like a 12-year-old lad's CAW, his offence looks like shit, and the "finger-breaking" is cringe. I will never understand anyone who thinks he's the "modern William Regal". Regal was miles ahead in every aspect of the business. The only reason I haven't rated him lower is I think he does have some potential to be a decent mid-carder if someone is willing to mould him as his selling is pretty good and his work as Butch wasn't terrible."

[5.0] "Ive never been a fan. Has an underwhelming and less than intimidating look and attire. He can't cut a promo to save his life and he sounds really really boring. He is spared from a lower score than 5 because he can do a bit in the ring when he wants but over relies on the stupid finger bending thing. As of now (January 2025) he is surely living on borrowed time in the Fed."

"4/10. Uninspiring look, every gimmick I've seen of his in wwe has been stale. That finger breaking bs is cringe. Doesn't have a lot of moves. Why does he still get tv time?"

[8.0] "His character work has room for improvement, but I can see that there's still a lot in him. He brings a lot of personality to his matches, with a look that spells out he will dismantle his opponent. All in all, he is an enjoyable watch that will only get better if he's given the chance."

[9.0] "A great wrestler. I would really like to see him being pushed more for some of the bigger titles. His finger breaking gimmick is really awesome, and so insanely stupid. Love it"

[10.0] "Pete Dunne is definitely an awesome wrestler who's in-ring work Is above the rest with whoever he's against! From only hearing about him in WCPW and seeing the trajectory he has gone to has been Astounding! He's character as "The Bruiserweight" is among my favorite as a man who's not afraid of being gritty & will pummel you to get a victory! and I'm happy they've gotten rid of that god awful Butch! Going back to his in-ring work his forearm strikes and ability to work on the limps is Shockingly sound on top of him being agility give him that extra boot, Hopefully WWE capitalize on his stock as I see him as potential World Champion Material!"

[9.0] "Thank god he's back to being Pete Dunne, and no longer has to be the Scrappy Doo to Sheamus' Scooby Doo. Way too good of a wrestler to be a silly comedy sidekick."

[8.0] "The Brusier Weight is a phenomenal wrestler. I'm never bored watching a Pete Dunne match, as his timing and execution seem to be nearly perfect. Above all, he has that thing all wrestler aspire to have, AURA!"

[10.0] "Arguably one of my favorite wrestlers to watch, since his NXT UK days. His NXT run was amazing as he was a Main Event Talent majority the time, and now he's killing it as Pete Dunne again on RAW & NXT. He rarely has bad matches he always puts on bangers."

[9.0] "Going to the main roster and having that ridiculous name change as Butch definitely did damage him, but Im glad hes recovering. Hes such a natural heel, so Im glad hes finally getting to showcase his talent and not reducing him to a tag team wrestler. Because if you look at him in NXT UK, he was so cool and his matches were awesome. I cant wait for Tyler to recover, and we can see those two face each other yet again. Their Takeover match was one of my favourites."

[10.0] "Pete Dunne to me is a hidden gem of the wrestling world, I don't think there are many people that can go toe-to-toe with him in the world when you get between those ropes, while he hasn't been given the time to shine in WWE for the most part, recently with his heel turn he is getting to build his character in NXT again and also on the main roster, while also being a new producer for Speed matches, he can truly do it all and I hope Triple H is able to see that and utilise him correctly. By far my favourite wrestler from the past 10 Years (maybe tied with Gunther or Dragunov.)"

[6.0] "Pete is a solid mid-card or even upper mid-card, but lacks charisma or presence. He can be counted on to offer good confrontations but really needs a presence to accompany him. I think he makes a great clan member and tag-team partner, and deserves a talented manager to get him to a more important place on the card, such as a secondary title. Team titles are within his grasp. Too bad the team with Sheamus did split. And he has to change a little and to do less his finger's thing, to try to make us focus on his others skills than this stuff seen and seen again."

[7.0] "He was once a top star in NXT UK but seem to lost his way on the main roster. He's a solid worker who's good for the upper mid-card but just feels like he's missing that "IT" factor that he had in NXT UK"

[6.0] "Pete Dunne is a solid midcard wrestler but not much more than that. The Bruiserweight is completely passable in the ring and has about as much charisma as the average guy on the indies. He's capable of putting on a good match on TV and might be a suitable secondary champion someday in WWE."

[5.0] "He is an ok midcarder that was honestly better as a Scrappy Doo comedy dude named Butch than the boring Wrasslin Wrassler Pete Dunne that is gonna Wrassle you to smithereens, while making hilarious wannabe tough-guy faces. Capable of being a sympathetic baby, selling his pain with harrowing facials and convincing bumping. Though he is far better as a monster killer. His killer offense and supreme selling makes him capable of everything and more, even his promo skills which aren't revolutionary are good enough to get the job done. The only thing holding him back is booking, and the world is not ready if WWE learns to book the Bruiserweight"

"An excellent technical wrestler and purveyor of British Strong Style. Brings a fiery energy and aggressiveness to the ring that makes you quickly forget he is undersized. Was excellent in NXT UK and is beginning to find his footing as Butch on SmackDown. Very bright future ahead for the lad."

[3.0] "I find Pete Dunne to be incredibly generic and boring in-ring. Have a look at any indie wrestling promotion today and you'll see a dozen or more guys on every card who look the same and do the exact same things in-ring. I struggle to see the appeal, is it the finger "breaking" thing he did? Becuase that was definitely cool the first few times, but the novelty wore off. Very average and generic wrestler."

[9.0] "I anticipate this would go up if Butch ever gets a solid run. His work in the Brawling Brutes really shows this guy is a firecracker to go off. Can't wait to see what he accomplishes in his career! Hope he stays in wwe so it'll be easy to follow him."

[9.0] "Man is a banger machine. Total authoritarian brutality is his style and he performs so incredibly. Right now, I am watching every single WWE NXT UK Championship match, and I am in the middle of Dunne's reign, and he puts on banger after banger after banger. I adore his style of violence."

[8.0] "One of my favourite brawlers in the business currently. He's not been booked well unfortunately, but always delivers an absolute banger of a show, making every move and strike look painful. He's got a rough and ready approach to character work, which I like, but is probably the reason he's not been booked like he should."

[6.0] "In terms of in ring ability, there isn't a better example of "what might have been" in modern day wrestling than Pete Dunne. He is not much of an American style promo guy and almost certainly never will be so you always wonder what he could have achieved in Japan as he can pull off a decent back stage promo. In short, I miss Pete Dunne in an era before Britwres went to shit."

[10.0] "Pete Dunne, also known as Butch, is an amazing technician and brawler, capable of making any hold, any move, any strike look intense and painful. He adds a lot of flavor and personality to all that he is doing, whether as the old Pete Dunne you saw in NXT and before in the European indy scene, or the wild Butch persona he was given in the main roster. Plus he is also a gifted seller, able to make you feel the pain he is feeling at any point. He is one of my favorite wrestlers in the world right now."

[6.0] "Man, WWE completely destroyed anything that was cool about Butch. As Dunne Butch had a character that was unique, now he's an angry short man that happens to be a good wrestler."

[8.0] "Dunne is a great wrestler. His technical abilities and unique style make his matches great. He is good on the mic and has a great presence. Butch is him playing a character outside his wheelhouse in an attempt to grow and that is a great decision."

[10.0] "It boggles my mind that people have been rating Dunne so low in recent years (that's right, I consider anything below a 9 low for him). Yes, he's been dealt a shitty hand on the main roster as Butch, but Pete Dunne is still just as good as ever. He's made the most of the crappy gimmick he's been assigned, and I hold out hope that he'll rally and eventually become the Pete Dunne we know and love again and realize his true potential. Just remember the wars this guy has had back in the peak years of NXT. He's absolutely the real deal."

[7.0] "A really fantastic worker. Even though he is undersized you can still buy him as a tough brawler due to his look and the intensity and believability of his work. Technically great also. Has suffered with booking in the big leagues but he's still young enough for that to turn around."

[9.0] "Now, I've seen very little of this mans' NXT UK run, but everything that I've seen was very impressive. This guy is the perfect combination of a brawler and techniker, and propably the best of the latter that WWE has to offer. Bruiserweight has amazing connection to the crowd, amazing in ring skills, and he shows you his sadism in every match that he's in. The only downside is his "Butch"-character but thankfully HHH is slowly making it better. Hunter, pls give him a second name or give him back the old one. Going back to Bruiserweight, overall he's the face of the UK Wrestling, and I'm sure that the Brits are proud of him."

[9.0] "One of the best technical wrestlers in the world today. Utterly ruthless to his opponents. Worthy of calling himself "The BruiserWeight". Was always very mature for such a young age. Set the tone for establishing the WWE NXT UK World Championship as a prestigious & protected title. Has put on a number of re-watch worthy instant classic matches. One of the best Ring Generals in the world today. His matches usually range between good to great to epic. Was 1/3 of one of the best Trios of the last 10 years, "British Strong Style", alongside Tyler Bate & Trent Seven. His short lived tag team partnership with Matt Riddle as "The BroserWeights" was fun based on 2 guys with opposite personalities who was consistently having incredible tag team matches. May not be the best promo. Needs to finally get his hands on another Singles Championship belt, as he has been chasing them for a very long time in NXT US. UPDATED: In one fell swoop, Pete Dunne's career is pretty much done. Just look at his name change. Another job well done by the single WORST wrestling promotion on the planet. What a ridiculous position he has been put in. UPDATEDx2: Pete Dunne is in good hands with Triple H's booking, I am loving the way that he is being used as Sheamus is pretty much a WWE Main Roster mentor to both him and Ridge Holland, helping them both get acclimated to the WWE Main Roster, and we can see The BruiserWeight emerging through the Butch character when it is time for Pete to wrestle. As time passes by, Pete will drop the Butch character after The Brawling Brutes disband, and he will declare that he is not "Butch", that he is "The BruiserWeight" Pete Dunne! Until then, Pete is doing a great job of dealing with the cards that he has been dealt, and he is so great at adapting to everything and anything, whether it be a character, faction, opponent, or match type."

[10.0] "One of the best wrestlers in the world, when given the platform he can easily put on great matches after great matches. Technically very good, with some high flying abilities as well. Watching him through the indies and in NXT, he can do it all. Great on the mic, great character work (even with Butch, which isn't the greatest gimmick/character but he's making the most of it and making it feel important with his work in-ring and on twitter). Overall, one of the best wrestlers in the world without a doubt."

[9.0] "One of the best in the ring when he wants to be, he can deliver match of the year quality matches. His work on his opponent's fingers and limbs are always entertaining and makes him come across as very dangerous. His style also seems more real to me like he really wants to inflect the most pain. His mic work isn't great and can be inconsistent, but he can deliver a passable promo when needed. His character now as Butch sounds stupid but he has made the most of it and it's actually entertaining when it has no right to be. He still should be in a better position and I doubt this will help him in the long run but I don't think it's a career killer either the way others are afraid it might be."

[10.0] "One of the best going today, and frustratingly crippled in WWE right now. I'm glad he's young and seems to have a hell of a career ahead of him. Definitely going through a rough spot at the moment though."
