[9.0] "Originally written on 29/04/25: I like Thumbtack, but I have a problem with his Deathmatch style, whenever I watch most of his matches I think his style is disgusting and painful, I feel like what I'm going to see will be carnal, the two biggest examples I've seen are: Jack Vs DJ Hyde (TOD VIII), Jack Vs JC Bailey (Walking On Pins and Needles). I know everything Jack went through. I know the reason why he did raw Deathmatch, it's a shame that everything ended like this. If he had done another type of Wrestling (besides Deathmatch), he would easily still be in the business. I like him. Edit: My opinion about TJ changed after reading (using a translator) several reviews in German of Thumbtack Jack, and I discovered that they have a lot of respect and esteem for him, an idol worthy of admiration not only for his great work in the ring, but also for being a great person. I can see a great dedication and love for wrestling from him; every match was a never-ending battle to see who was the toughest. When he wasn't doing disgusting things like using needles or hitting people with concrete blocks, I quite liked him. I'd love to read his book; so many people are charmed by it and by his kind personality. That raises his rating from a 6.0 to a 9.0. Sorry for everything, TJ."

[10.0] "One of the greatest deathmatch wrestlers of all time and I'm glad that other people seem to agree with me on that one, especially in more recent times. Not only were a lot of the bumps he took amazing without looking too over-the-top, but in the ring, he was also really great."

[9.0] "One of if not the most underrated deathmatch wrestlers of all time. TJ was crazy innovative, and was one of the first that could fully beat the deathmatch wrester stereotype of not being able to wrestle. He could solidly hold his ground against wrestlers who are known for their in-ring work as he proved with matches against the likes of a young Kenny Omega and Jay Briscoe. He had multiple signature spots e.g. syringes, and multiple amazing matches with the likes of MASADA and Drake Younger. He could revieve and give an absolute beating as shown for example in matches with the Necro Butcher. Especially during the longer deathmatch shows, a Thumbtack Jack match can be a serious breath of fresh air. Its a shame his career ended so early, i would of loved to see what he would of done outside the deathmatch world with his mind. The man could do everything."

[10.0] "One of, if not the greatest deathmatch wrestler on earth. Thumbtack Jack was so unique with his look and the wide variety of weapons he uses in his match. He can adapt to any stipulation put in front of him and dominate in it. I've seen a handful of his matches so far and he hasn't lost any except the SAW match against Drake Younger. His style of deathmatches are more disturbing but he makes it worth a watch. It's a shame he retired so early."
