[8.0] "Satoru Asako deserves so, so much credit! His work as technical Junior Heavyweight in the 90's and his trainer mastering deserves to be watched closely. Very underrated talent."

[7.0] "Satoru Asako was a very capable Junior Heavyweight in his day, with an impressive arsenal of high-impact and more aerial maneuvers. It is too bad he retired in the midst of his prime years."

[7.0] "I'm not gonna act like Satoru Asako was a big generational talent that was going hang with KENTA or Marufuji in the Jr Heavyweight revolution, but from what I've seen, he was a very solid hand in tags, singles, and a lot of different formats. His stuff as the AJPW underdog and punching bag is a lot of fun and his evolution into a experienced vet and a valued member of early NOAH's awkward plunge into more lightweight action was one that really helped stabilise things to start off with. Guy was never gonna be a main event star but he was robbed of his best years by a freak accident: thankfully he seems to be helping out the next generation into following his footsteps, which is equally as remarkable. Sure, guy took a while to get good, but once he got there, he very much stayed there."
