"[9.0] The undertaker was correct in the fact that the future of wrestling was Bray Wyat and Roman Reigns. Roman when in the ring has become one of the best on the mic and actually wrestling. The bloodline saved his career, however now that we are past it I'd like to see what he can do with it. Currently he has put up good matches when he has wrestled, however he hasn't been wrestling much ever since he got dethroned. It is a shame on what really the past year and a half has done to his reputation. It honestly become a meme on how much he was returned. I hope he is main eventing mania again and we can see him with a belt again."

[5.0] "Roman Reigns is a great wrestler.His character work is also great.But after becoming Tribal Chief most of his matches are slow and too long.His limited schedule is also Boring.He has been feuding with The vision all year for no reason.He needs newer opponents and storyline."

[4.0] "I've tried a million times with Roman Reigns but I just cannot get into the guy. He's had some FANTASTIC matches, there's no doubt there. His stuff with AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, etc has been wonderful. But his whole Tribal Chief 4-year reign pretty much pushed me out of watching WWE, I just couldn't take those boring and comically long promos. His matches are all seemingly 25+ minutes long now too, despite a painfully slow pace.Not to mention, he can't just have a normal storyline, there has to be 300 instances of overbooking, run-ins, etc."

[9.0] "Roman reigns and the tribal chief character saved wrestling throughout the pandemic. A great in ring story teller and whenever he is on screen it is always feels big and must watch. He's not an elite in ring technician but all of his matches are at the very least interesting and compelling with the narrative"

[9.0] "I'm someone who was never a big fan of Roman. But he has proven himself and it'd be wrong for me to be bias. He's one of the biggest star of all time. He has easily became the most must watch wrestler today. From not being ready and shoved down fans throat to being being the one who brings the biggest views and ratings for each show, Roman has cemented himself the face. The difference between big dog and tribel chief Roman is night and day. From wrestling skills to character work and to mic skills. Very underrated among the internet fans. Being able to say a few thing and promote a reaction from the fans is something guys like CM Punk and Seth Rollins will have to go crazy over. Unfortunately, he has become a part timer now, though its understandable. Considering he's at the Undertaker level of not needing to show up for every show now. He has this aura, this thing about him that makes you go, ok even if I don't like him, I have to tune in. The guy carried WWE for 4 years and gave it all up to Cody in one of the biggest match of all time. The only thing left he hasn't really done for a guy in his position, is to have a match with a legend from the past that was also a greatest of all time candidate. Someone like The Rock. And until that happen, I'm not putting up the ones. But he's got my respect for sure and I acknowledges him."

[5.0] "It's very generous of Roman Reigns to co-sign the loans of all these fans. It's like watching people marching in the streets to tell everyone how great vanilla ice cream is. He's still not the best promo in spite of his improvements but his character work has changed so drastically and for the better that it's not completely detrimental. I don't see myself ever rating him any higher than this because he's definitely at his ceiling now but it's a lot better than it was in 2019. His matches can be entertaining but they follow that specific WWE formula. If you watch enough WWE you can predict when he's going to start doing all of his signature moves."

[9.0] "Roman Reigns is a genius. He's a real man, a hard worker, and a grinder. And that's serious. After watching his face-to-face segment with Brock Lesnar (as well as hundreds of edits on YouTube Shorts), I realized that he's a person with an incredible aura and a tough journey. Back in the day, he went through insane hate and managed to turn it around, becoming the coolest heel. He's a strong guy. And at SummerSlam 2024, he didn't come out to the hate of the entire arena; he made the arena bow before him and show thumbs up. Isn't that an aura? He's no longer Big Dog. Acknowledge Him. He's created his own original character. Yes, he needed to progress, develop his mic skills, character, and so on, given the huge burden the company put on him, and he handled it. Of course, I don't like his four-year reign, but he was great in segments. He's done incredible work on himself. Probably, at WM42, he'll become champion again. But what kind of wrestler can he become? I didn't want it to go to absurdity this time. But rating him below an 8 is just stupid. He's clearly better than Cody, and compared to Bron Breaker and Jey Uso, he looks like a God. He came up with his own gimmick with original tricks and cool features."

[7.0] "Roman Reigns showed promise in his first appearance with The Shield, but wasn't a fan favorite. However, he became a fan favorite after returning as Tribal Chief with Paul Heymen in 2020. After losing to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, Solo Sikore took over Bloodline. Since then, he's had more comebacks than matches. Since he hasn't had a match, he's been penalized a 7."

[10.0] "One of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. Haters would see it too if they finally realized that pro wrestling is not actual wrestling. That is called amateur wrestling. I know the words are confusing but that's what it means. And that's why Roman is the greatest ever to do it. Because it's a theatre based presentation inspired from sports. He definitely had some issues with promos early on in his career but he was never short on charisma. And now he's one of the best ever to cut a dramatic promo. He is great in ring as well. He is like the perfect package. Whole crowd goes insane whenever he steps in the ring. His entrance commands attention. His aura is unmatched. He is a living legend."

[7.0] "Reigns to me sort of gets a pass for his early unlikeability. He was Champ only 5 years into his career and a main eventer even prior to that - and if you know anything about wrestling, that's a very tough burden. Especially when he wasn't /really/ a natural at anything, unlike other 'early successes' like, I don't know, Ray Traylor? So yeah, I can't /really/ blame him as opposed to the Fed for that; however, what I can blame him for is going along with all of the pushing, and for developing his wrestling style where he'll just mollywhop a giant/force of nature style gimmick for the fun of it. Remember how in Survivor Series '24 he just kicks everybody's butt when he comes in, including the undefeated Jacob Fatu? All he does these days, during his part-time era, is inexplicably get one over on whichever new talent is hot at that moment. Tossing Breakker at the Rumble? No, screw that. You are not Stone Cold. With that said, I can't lowball-rank someone who was a viable and over heel champion for literal years on end, and never flunked out for substances or violence. Works pretty nice these days, too. That would be unfair. Roman gets a 7 and I'd honestly be open to an 8 if he hadn't tapered off so blatantly in involvement after 2024."

[3.0] "Did an amazing job with the Shield, but that shit is ancient history. The way he was received during his initial solo push speaks for itself. Nowadays, almost always puts out lazy, pressing-the-buttons-on-a-video-game-controller matches where he devalues virtually everybody he faces in defeat. Shit like Survivor Series 2024 or Summerslam 2025 are the exceptions, not the rule. Has the capability to be good on mic when he isn't given trash material, but his garbage mic work during that 2020 2021 period will always stand out to me as among the most unilaterally overrated shit in the history of American wrestling. "*Intense stare, silence* *Breaks silence* Well, somebody better put some SPECK on my name WAAAAH! " That was his stretch during that time. That was his reach. He rode that trash to what could be the worst long reign in WWE history. I was happier than a child at Christmas when that trash finally ended at WM40. I'm not excited for him to return after Street Fighter. I want him to go away."

[10.0] "He's my favourite wrestler of all-time (but not my pick for the greatest of all-time, if that makes sense), he got me into wrestling as the Tribal Chief and I love that run alongside The Bloodline, even if I think his current run isn't that good, he will always have a special place in my heart."

[10.0] "Roman is a great face, but an excellent heel, the way he just soaks in all the heat he got during his face run was insane. Sure the WWE title run was redundant but he earned it. He has the look, the family connections, the passion for the business, he is the perfect guy to make the face of the company. And sure, there's better wrestlers, but they don't have the full package that Roman has. And he wasn't just given everything immediately, he built his way up from FCW up to being the muscle of the shield up to being the tribal chief, and his career is a fascinating one."

[7.0] "Roman Reigns is one of the rare instances where the IWC was right, he's better as a heel. He has a superstar look, you can tell he's a main eventer. His wrestling is solid, he's nothing special. His promos have improved drastically since becoming a heel as he's been able to draw back more on his natural charisma. I don't think he's face of the company worthy, the guy is clearly a top draw as a heel. Can he do well as a face? Probably, but why fix something that isn't broken? There's far more he can do as a heel than as a face."

His dominance as champion, ability to elevate storylines, and presence on the mic have solidified him as the face of WWE. [6.0] "To paraphrase a rather great Twitter comment, you don't get to be one of the GOATs when you sucked for a decade straight and started working part-time as soon as you finally got good. Roman always had the look and was better in the ring than we gave him credit for, but it took WWE forever to find out that he's a naturally smarmy heel. The Tribal Chief stuff was great but I am not giving him higher than a six because I was there, man. I remember the sufferin' succotash era. I remember the dreadful matches with Kane and Bray Wyatt. I was there, man. I was there."

[3.0] "One of the most overrated and overpushed wrestlers of all time along with Brock Lesnar. Yes, when he became heel Tribal Chief in 2020-2021, he did amazing overall, but after that he become too comfortable and lazy. Not to mention he needs great bookings from Paul Heyman and the entire family backing up. Plus most of his matches and feuds have been relying on carryjob from superior wrestler and intrigued characters. He is not a huge loss and that special anyways."

[9.0] "Roman has become one of the biggest WWE icons in the last 5 years, and maybe even the biggest. His character is perfect in terms of storytelling. His chemistry with Paul Heyman and the entire Bloodline makes you feel it's real. Nothing about it feels scripted. That said, most of his career has been a bad character and average matches, but his in-ring performance improved significantly during the OTC period."

[9.0] "One of the best wrestlers in the modern era that is a must watch whenever he's on TV. The "aura" of this man is untouchable. Sure he doesn't work weekly and normally on TV but when he does, he always puts on a good storytelling and match wise."

[8.0] "Quite the change up he's had! Going from one of the most hated wrestlers of all time to one of the most beloved was no easy feat, and his improvement in-ring along with acting and storytelling abilities show the reason why."

[4.0] "I'm sorry, but as much as his current persona is 1000 times better than the garbage that was his Big Dog persona, his repetitive, predictable, and limited wrestling style still doesn't sit well with me, not to mention his clear shortcomings on the microphone despite his improvement. From the beginning, WWE tried to shoehorn him in, pretending he was the next John Cena and undeservedly putting him in Main Event after Main Event, while removing and burying talents far superior to him, no mentions to the rest of his nepotistic family. A very generic wrestler who, despite having managed to connect with the public after years of floundering in the most absolute rejection, for me is still nothing remarkable in any way and is still the same overrated lump they shoehorned in 2015. 4/10"

[10.0] "roman reigns is the last true superstar left in wrestling. his 1316 day reign is one of the greatest of all time. many argue this is not true and it was a lengthy wait. this was certainly true for the last year, but there is a run of perfect matches that has rarely been reached by anyone else in wrestling history. reigns is an all time great. bloodline tribal chief era was goated, and he is i feel one of the few guys that when he's having a singles match it feels like prize fighting."

[7.0] "Roman is a weird wrestler to rate, but I think an 7 is around where I'd put him. He's had an interesting career, as the big dog he was overpushed and hated. But in ring as the big dog is actually where he peaked, I think. Tribal Chief Roman has the mic skills, the aura, and pretty much everything else over that era though. He's undeniably the biggest draw of this era, and while I don't particularly care that much, it does affect the rating a tiny bit. His biggest flaw is consistency and lack of appearances, even as champion he would rarely show up. His fanbase has kinda ruined how wrestling is perceived, so he has that negative on him, as it's all about "cinema" now. I wish we could see tribal chief Roman working big dog Roman matches."

His transformation into the 'Tribal Chief' completely changed his career and gave fans a powerful, fresh version of him that feels real and intense. He has improved so much on the mic, and his in-ring psychology is top-level. Every time he steps into the ring, it feels like a big deal. Whether you love him or hate him, you can't deny how much he has carried WWE over the past few years. His title reign, storytelling, and presence are legendary"

[10.0] "The biggest draw of the first half of the 2020s. I knew Reigns but was barely paying any attention during his "Big Dog" era (but did see him wrestle at least once during said period.) I started getting back to wrestling around the build to Wrestlemania 38 and Reigns was amidst a great heel run. The build and match itself to Wrestlemania 40 with the Rock , Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins was an instant classic. His face run starting at SummerSlam 2024 has seen some of the biggest baby face reactions ever. Reigns' excellence begins with his storytelling, and he knows how to work using less. A master of facial reactions. Very believable. One of the best contemporary looks. Above average on the mic."

[8.0] "Roman Reigns is like the wrestling equivalent of your bossy older cousin who insists on being the team captain at family dodgeball - but you kind of love him for it. The man oozes charisma, and his transformation into "The Tribal Chief" was like watching Clark Kent finally realize he doesn't need glasses. Sure, some might argue he spams the Superman Punch like he's playing WWE 2K on beginner mode, but hey, when the punch lands, it feels like Zeus himself handed it down. Plus, his matches are usually edge-of-your-seat spectacles. If you're not yelling at the TV when he locks in the Guillotine, are you even a wrestling fan?"

In the ring, his matches often feel overly choreographed and formulaic, relying more on storytelling tropes than on technical prowess. His "Tribal Chief" persona, initially compelling, has grown stale due to overprotective booking and an aura of invincibility that drains suspense from his matches and sidelines emerging talent. On the mic, his delivery tends to be flat, with heavily scripted promos lacking genuine emotional punch. Ultimately, Reigns feels more like a manufactured product than a well-rounded performer--symbolic of WWE's preference for control over organic connection."

[1.0] "Another completely overrated member of the Anoa? i wrestling family but I'll rather deal with Roman Reigns over Jey Uso by a thread at least he looks like a superstar and I enjoyed when he was in the shield he looked cool of course he was my least favorite member but that's all he has to offer. Roman cannot wrestle at all with a completely limited move set and weak mic skills he needs a manager to save him. He has one of the worst finishers of all time it's the most simple move in professional wrestling and I just roll my eyes when he uses it. I cannot take him seriously at all his unnecessary almost endless champion reign was one of the most painful thing I had to deal with. He did not deserve to have that lengthy run at all it was an absolute miracle when it ended I was like a kid in Christmas morning when I saw it end."

[10.0] "Roman Reigns's tribal chief work really saved his career. I was a fan of his in his big dog days, but it just felt rushed. I am glad he finally found his foot into the business with this gimmick and cemented his legacy as one of the greatest of all time."

[10.0] "I think his in-ring style is a sleeper; it's slower-paced and methodical, but I like it. I'd say it's an acquired taste; he's also just one of the best at acting and in-ring psychology. He also has gotten better on the mic, and I'd say he's a decent talker overall. All of that plus a lot of aura and some charisma, and you have probably the biggest star of the last decade. The Tribal Chief character created some of the best storylines, segments, matches, and promos in the history of WWE; it's clear when you go back and watch the last 5 years of the company."

"Roman Reigns is an interesting case. Like most, I was not a fan of him early on because his skills were lacking and he had it rough being at the top with no time to work on his craft. However ever since his return in 2020 as the Tribal Chief gimmick really showcased his abilities as a performer and his improvement on the mic by miles."

[8.0] "If you ignore his post Shield and pre Tribal Chief era, Roman has been a really great wrestler. And I seriously would have never though I'd be saying this, considering how much I hated his babyface push, genuinely might be the worst push I've had the misfortune of watching live."

""Roman Reigns is a prime example of the strongest soldier win the hardest fight. This man never gave up and never let setbacks and worst moments get the best of him. This was the wrestler who was booed and trashed by audiences during his baby face run as the Big Dog (2014-2019), whether he was winning the 2015 Royal Rumble, main event WrestleMania, defeating legends such as the Undertaker and Triple H, or defeating his toughest opponents such as Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe or Brock Lesnar, fans never favored him because they realized that WWE was going to make him the top guy of their company after John Cena. After defeating Leukemia that nearly ended his career, he came back stronger than ever, aligning himself with Paul Heyman and became the Head of the Table which in my opinion is one of the greatest gimmicks and heel runs in wrestling history. He carried WWE on his shoulders during his legendary 1316 reign as world champion when the company was facing challenges, controversies and competition, and with his impactful Bloodline stable and memorable feuds and storylines with Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Brock Lesnar, and the new Bloodline stable, put WWE right back on the top of the mountain. To me, Roman was the hero we hated, but the villain we loved."

[4.0] "Although I get that WWE in general thinks of its wrestlers as merchandise products, the case of Reigns is fascinating to me. This guy can't wrestle, doesn't have a personaliy or mic presence other than being Super Hero Cena 2, his very limited moveset based on his powerhouse gimmick was not original nor engaging to look at and still, he was pushed to the STRATOSPHERE for years, muting booing from the audience and pretending he was the big thing that everyone wanted to see. And even though he flopped and could never get over, they pushed through with it. This type of corporate move, where they push a wrestler down the throat of the very unwilling public was like a slap on the face, a power move even. Saying "Yes, we hear you and don't care, you will still buy anything that has the WWE logo on it" and it was true. WWE became such a big monopoly that they could get away with it. So Reigns® is the next big thing and you'll LIKE IT. Even if his only distinguishing characteristic is kicking out 500 finishers and having plot armor. And again, they're are right, because WWE turns him heel, makes their important superstars® like Cena® and Taker® call him the GOAT® , and now people suddenly enjoy his matches and think he's great, even though he never got better at anything and now works part-time thinking he can nepobaby his way to Hollywood like the did WWE. Yes, as a heel the heat makes his matches more engaging because the company doesn't treat you like you're stupid for disliking him and he has more freedom to brawl and use dirty tactics. Plus he's got Heyman filling-in for his lack of persona. And still, his matches continue to feel like a lackluster finisher-spamming mess with a hundred kick outs to pretend it's le epic struggle. Tuned out big time from wrestling during his anti-climatically bad reign of terror and I'm still not willing to fully go back to mainstream with him there when I know it's impossible for this dude to get beaten cleanly 99% of the time."

[10.0] "The Shield era, singles run in 2014, Fighting with cancer, The Trible Chief reign. This man has been a part of our life since very long and still giving chills when he arrives."

[9.0] "He was good enough in the Shield, but then floundered as a top star for years after as a babyface that no one wanted. He was involved in three horrible WrestleMania main events in a row against Brock, Hunter, & Taker. But then he found himself when he went heel & started with Heyman & the Bloodline. That saved him in the eyes of many fans - myself included."

[7.0] "I'm not going to lie, purely based on in-ring skill, Reigns leaves a lot to be desired. He has a couple of moves he can pull out here and there, but other than that, he's rather limited in the ring. However, after he returned during the Thunderdome era and rebirthed as the Head of the Table, he finally showed why he was worth the heavy push. Being a heel seems to come naturally to him, and his promo skills have really improved a bunch, seeing how much he can carry a storyline. I'm glad that he got over whatever was going on prior to the pandemic and turned into an entertaining main-event star whenever he shows up."

[10.0] "I don't care if he's a part-timer, I don't care if his wrestling style isn't everyone's cup of tea, there is no denying that Roman Reigns has "it". His 1316 day reign was the best WWE title reign of the 21st century, and most of his matches feel big time. Roman is the GOAT of this generation in WWE. Anyone who hates his Big Dog time has to realize that its not his fault for the booking, and his run in the past 5 years has shown how damn good he can be when allowed more freedom. While he is a divisive figure now, 20 years from now we will look back and marvel at the epic run of the Bloodline and the OTC."

Reigns is the sort of sports entertainmenter who has managed to get very far primarily by having a marketable "look" while otherwise possessing only the basic WWE Performance Center skillset. His permanent vacation as Universal/WWE Champion was kept alive by other people talking for him while he wasn't there, other people talking for him while he stood in the background making pouty faces, and generic, lazy performances when he had his once in a blue moon matches. Unquestionably the worst top guy in WWWF/WWF/WWE history."
