Mark Briscoe

[9.0] "I grew up on the Briscoes and while I would never say they were favorites, they always put on bangers. But in the last couple of years, Mark has really shown himself to be an incredible singles talent and one of the most likable and relatable dudes around. Kudos to his fantastic run he's currently on."

A glance at his earlier ROH stuff reveals that in ten years, he hasn't aged one. One of the more fun wrestlers I think I've ever seen, & his work with his brother was the best shit ever."

[9.0] "The Briscoes were one of my favourite tag teams of all time. They had so much chemistry together and were the highlights of tag team wrestling for a very long time. But after Jay passed away, I didn't know what AEW would do with Mark. I didn't even know if they'd let him appear on TV but not only did he become a full time member of the roster, he became one of the most real, genuine and loveable babyfaces they have. For my money, He's the best babyface AEW has right jow and deserves to be pushed to the moon. His matches are so good no matter the opponent, because he makes them feel real. He makes you root for him. He's one of the best wrestlers in AEW right now"

[9.0] "In a time when ROH was not super popular, The Briscoes were able to make waves despite that. Mark & Jay had a super unique look & a badass appeal. They have transcended to be forever known as a legendary tag team during a time when tag wrestling had mostly taken a backseat. He's also great as a single."

[8.0] "He is a very good wrestler with a unique martial arts influence and he's very quick and full of energy. He's also very eccentric which I think adds to the entertainment of seeing him in the ring. I've mainly if not exclusively seen him in tag team matches."

[7.0] "I'm not sure that I see the acclaim with Mark as a singles wrestler. I think the Briscoe brothers are one of the better tag teams of the last 20 years, but ultimately Mark goes to the same bag all too often in ring, and hasn't shown the ability to give multitudes to his character and show enough depth. I actually think Mark can get there, but would like to see more seriousness in his wrestling that was consistent with the Briscoes, and find that he isn't grounded enough for me to care about him as a wrestler. aside from that, he is a genuinely good wrestler, and is entertaining on mic, so I do see that he has appeal, but think he might be outkicking his coverage right now"

[8.0] "Mark Briscoe is a wrestler that makes me excited to watch a match or even a whole show for that matter. He was apart of easily one of the best tag teams I've ever seen a long with his brother Jay (Rest in Peace). The double dog collar match vs FTR was awesome, I really enjoyed his matches with Kingston, House of Black, and Roderick Strong. His current upper midcard work has also been epic with the Conglomeration and overall really cool wrestler that does not get the appreciation he deserves."

[8.0] "Wrestling fans have an issue with recognising how good modern wrestlers are compared to their historical peers with a prevailing view that it "used to be better" and in many ways it absolutely was but Mark also needs to go down as one of the greatest tag wrestlers in American wrestling history. Post the death of his brother he seems to have found a nice little niche as the loveable mid card babyface."

[6.0] "Hes fine. I have not seen enough of him for him to stick around in my mind, despite having seen all his televised matches in AEW, so that should be saying something. He was okay in the Continental Classic. Hes funny and seems to have a good sense of humour. Good as a tag team wrestler but understandable that he does not want a new tag team after his brothers passing."

[8.0] "Mark Briscoe is one of the best tag team wrestlers of his generation. The Briscoes were a top tier tag team. Mark has good comedy abilities with his redneck kung fu gimmick solo. He hasn't had major success without his brother but he has proven he is a capable singles wrestler."

[10.0] "Mark Briscoe has been absolutely killing it in AEW. Only really followed ROH since Supercard, and the Briscoes vs FTR all had a floor of 4.75 stars. Jays passing was absolutely tragic, and came at the end of one of the best years of one of the greatest tag teams of all time. I did not expect Mark to keep running with that ball, and transition elegantly and immediately into an AEW singles guy. Mad props. His promos hit home so hard, his ringworm is fantastic, his character work is flawless. Mark is the high spot of wrestling television for me at the moment"

[8.0] "Although I do agree that Jay is the one that shines more, I think Mark should've gotten a chance as a world champion too. He's a natural babyface, so ROH could've used that to give him at least a transitional reign. I'll still have a soft spot for him."

[6.0] "With brother tag teams you're always going to compare one to the other and in this case you'll just realize which of the Briscoes is the more talented one."

[10.0] "Mark Briscoe is a great wrestler. I would love it if he and/or his brother Jay would train me to become a professional wrestler because it's my dream. I also live in Sussex County Delaware like them. I hope they see this message so they can train me because they are my only choice left because there's basically no pro wrestling schools in Delaware. I also have asperegers, which is another reason why I won't go out of state to train. As I said before, if the Briscoes are reading this please train me."

[8.0] "Mark is underrated. His in ring ability is evenly matched with his brother. Unfortunately, he is living in the shadow of his brother, because he doesn't possess a strong persona compared to him. But, I think it is also contributed to the lacking opportunity at singles title. He can do a lot more if given the opportunity to hold a singles title reign."

[5.0] "He isn't as good as his brother, but Mark Briscoe can be fun to watch. He is really good when it comes to putting on short singles matches, and his tag work w/ his brother of course rules."

[7.0] "The younger of the Briscoe Brothers brings a bit more of an aerial style as well as a bit more of a comedic edge to balance out his brother's more serious demeanor and straight-ahead brawling style. Alongside Jay, he's a mainstay of the ROH tag division and has plenty of great tag matches under his belt; time will tell if he'll be able to eventually break out as a singles star to the degree his brother."

[10.0] "Mark Briscoe is super entertaining in and outside the ring. He comes off a really crazy. He normally has fun matches. Whenever he does a promo it's great."

[8.0] "While he's every bit as good of a brawler as his brother Jay, Mark's specialty is high risk, high flying offense. The man is definitely the daredevil of the duo. He's also the comic relief, as his parts in the Briscoe brothers promos (as well as promos of his own) can make you laugh while still letting you know that he's no joke in the ring. I hope he achieves some singles success in ROH like his brother has, but I will continue to enjoy the Briscoe Brothers taking down any and all competition in the tag team division."
