[5.0] "he tried but flopped badly in NJPW even after becoming a bullet club member, NOAH and DDT, might as well stick it in AJPW. he didn't have the charisma nor the wrestling skills his dad has but i'll give him some pity points for him on trying"

[1.0] "He is on the longest excursion in New Japan Pro Wrestling history. 2099 AD will be his debut as Halling Burk. Bullet Club had a better young boy, Hikuleo. But the son of the bad guy? BAD wrestler, completely not like his late father in ring or on the mic."

[2.0] "It's hard enough being a second generation wrestler, but having your dad be Scott Hall... one of the coolest and most universally loved wrestlers of all time? Yeah, only a generational talent could escape that shadow I'm afraid. Cody Hall had a great look, but sadly he just didn't have the wrestling ability. Not very good in-ring, doesn't really have any charisma, he just so happens to be a big guy who has a legendary father. At least he tried, but it's a clear 2 for me. Just no improvement throughout his years as a professional wrestler, the neck injury is unfortunate though."

[3.0] "Had a lot of tools to become a great wrestler but ended up simply being a big disappointment and not a good guy outside of the ring."

[6.0] "Cody Hall career has had it's ups and downs but he can put on really good matches. He got thrown into Bullet Club before he was ready. Neck issues have hurt his career but still a talented competitor and decent on the mic. Hoping he gets another opportunity to prove himself as more than just Scott Hall's son."

[4.0] "It's unfortunate how his career went down: working alongside the natural advantages of being a tall, young dude, he had the obvious connections and circle to work around into wherever he wanted to go, which arguably gave him probably one of the easiest rides in wrestling to speak of. This is pretty much what did him in as the guy had no humility; instead of working the odd jobs and paying his dues, he instead got to coast off everything he had and got brought into Bullet Club when they were white-hot under AJ Styles: the last time the group felt like a threat. Cody was green, but he had the greatest baseline to work off alongside a world class dojo and wrestlers. Somehow threw this all away with his bad wrestling and (allegedly) bad attitude alongside a bad neck injury sidelined his progress, but he kept getting second chances in other promotions, with the same happening: got pushes, got booted. NOAH, DDT, even MLW, the land of the misfits didn't want this guy, which says a lot by itself. Main issues are that he's just not very good: fine as a powerhouse, maybe would've been something 20 or 30 years ago. Now? People don't care about the really tall dudes who just stand there. No charisma or the sense of intelligence that came with his father's matches: everything seems generic and by the numbers. Scott Hall wasn't much better workrate wise, but he knew how to work and make simple things count massively, even if people didn't quite pick up on them. He has nothing original to give beyond being the son of a legendary wrestler: a rep that's both a gift and a curse as many will testify. Given he still has ideas of wrestling and seems to have become at least surface-level humble by recent interviews, I'm not going to count him out yet, because there's obvious potential. Either or not that gets realised is up to a lot of different factors."

[1.0] "Dude has the size of being a great wrestler but his behavior backstage would always stop him, as well as his inability to actually wrestle."

[1.0] "Got the size and the horrendous attitude of his father but definitely not the talent... Unsafe, untalented but most importantly not willing to improve."

[3.0] "Has the size and athletic ability to be a star in the business however it seems to me that in the ring he doesn't quite seem to know who he is in the ring and he has a history of attitude issues that has burned many bridges in the industry."

[4.0] "I'll give him one thing: he's better than his father was in the ring at his age, which unfortunately isn't exactly high praise. For the rest there's only his huge size. No charisma to speak of, really struggles in singles matches which aren't short squashes, little to no promo skills and his reputation is still marred by rumors about his bad attitude early in his career. The only role I see for him is to serve as hired muscle in a faction or as the big guy in multi-men tag matches. That's fine, we need them as well."

[6.0] "He has the look and charisma! that really important .. need to improve his in ring work ! The son of Scott Hall will be a star in 3 years from now! wanna see him go against the best Indies wrestlers ( Ricochet, Ospreay, Riddle, Cage, Sabre jr, Angelico and of course Cody Rhodes etc... ! anyway he is already better than Big cass, Bononi, Matha guys who have his size or more!"

[5.0] "Scott Hall is one of my all-time favorite wrestlers, so I'd love to see his son thrive in the business. He's not there yet, though. As green as he is, of course, he's got time to improve. One problem is that at this point he's far too reliant on his father's move set and mannerisms. He'll need to carve out more of his own identity if he wants to succeed."

[6.0] "He is developing a superstar presence and has so much potential. He's in good hands with the New Japan Dojo. It seems that every time out, he gets better. His rating will climb as his career progresses."

[6.0] "Despite being pushed from a very early start I think Cody continues to improve. Currently training in the New Japan Dojo. I think if he stays in it he could go far. As to how far who knows only time will tell."

[3.0] "Ok, slapping the trademark Scott Hall vest and trunks on himself is his first and greatest mistake. The idea, if you're a kid of a famous wrestler, you want to get out of their shadow as fast as possible. This kid is ENORMOUS. (His father was once called "Big" Scott Hall, but this is "Even Bigger" Cody Hall. ) But he needs some time in a dojo or developmental territory before he really begins to make waves in the wrestling world (BESIDES being the son of one of the most infamous wrestlers of all time. )"
