A first of his kind and he could wrestle anytime period and his greatest work was in ECW during the Triple Threat era. Incredible alert to the crowd and completely amsted to the game. Smooooooth high pitch voice and be the best in what hes been given."

Chris also had a hidden comedic talent and could make you laugh with his high pitched voice during promos. The ear protector gimmick in ECW was pretty funny. RIP Chris."

[8.0] "After watching the Dark Side episode, and hearing them say that if he hadent dies he wouldve been seen as one of the best, o disrespect to him or who im about to compare him to, but i dont think he would be placed that high. If he hadnt died so young, he wouldve been looked at now on the same level as Christopher Daniels, where that is no disrespect, Daniels and Candido could both work an amazing match, but neither was taken as a serious industry highlight in other than 2nd if not lower tier promotions. In WWE the most he wouldve gotten on his own would be the IC, which he wouldve been perfect for him, but he is highly over rated for what he was in Dark Side. I have no disrespect towards Candido, he was a fine worker like i said, same with Daniels, they earned their 8s, just i dont see them any higher. RIP Chris, you still deserved better."

[8.0] "If all you had to do in wrestling was be yourself, go out to the ring, and wrestle for however many minutes, then Chris Candido would probably be in a top 10 all time list. Because he was a guy who knew how to work, he knew how to sell, he knew how to put together great matches against anyone they put across the ring from him, and elevate that said opponent in the process regardless of whether he won or lost. The short of it is, in ring wrestling was his strong suit. They had Tammy (sunny) with him to make up for the charisma, personality, and promo that he didn't have , but they were overly gimmicked in WWF/E with the body donnas thing, and she had her own issues going on so that package wasn't going far. I think that's why he ultimately had more success in WCW/ECW/TNA because they were able to let him to stick to the wrestling and mask what he wasn't good at which was promos, personality, and playing a character. Hence his nickname "No Gimmicks Needed"."

DanTalksRasslin wrote on 03.09.2020:
[7.0] "Candido was a solid wrestler whose work always looked clean, and he seemed reliably able to safely work with any opponent. He worked well as the younger workhorse of the Triple Threat alongside Shane Douglas and Bam Bam Bigelow, and despite a lack of mic skill he was able to portray his "no gimmick needed" persona effectively. In the WWF he was likely held back by the aforementioned lack of charisma as well as his shorter height, though this was less an issue in ECW, WCW and TNA, and his tumultuous relationship with Tammy Lynn Sytch likely caused more harm than good to Candido's solo career. His sudden passing in 2005, when he seemed to be just on the cusp of a career resurgence in TNA, was tragic."

A shame he never found a character that he could really latch on to. As himself in ECW he was bland & unremarkable, despite being crisp & clean between the ropes. When I think about people from the past, I'm never pining to go watch a Chris Candito match."

[7.0] "He was in a time when smaller wrestlers were starting to get into wrestling. He could have been a cruiserweight if he had not bulked up. Great in Smokey Mountain watch his matches on Youtube. Moves were mediocre and simple. In WWE he was given a crappy gimmick. Never liked the Skip Bodydonna gimmick. He was successful with Zip (Tom Pritchard) as the Bodydonnas winning the tag titles. He bought Sunny in which she changed women history forever. In ECW and WCW he was successful. In TNA it was sad when he broke his leg and ended up with a blood clot which killed him."

[9.0] "Great little man wrestler that made up for his size with the brilliance of his wrestling technique. Not the most imposing presence but he was consistently booked, outside of WWF, as a formidable presence due to his craftiness and hot girlfriend. Truly made a name for himself with his awesome Triple Threat run in ECW, despite the fact he was very clearly on steroids like a mother fucker. In his later career, Candido was beginning to establish himself as a valuable veteran in TNA and on the independent scene, with a more comedic approach to his performances. Candido seemed to be finding his footing in pro wrestling after a couple years of inactivity and career uncertainty when he died in the most tragic wrestling death besides Owen Hart. One of those guys no one seems to have a bad thing to say about. It's a shame Tammy Sytch was such a polarizing presence throughout his life and career, as he didn't need her to be a name. RIP Chris Candido"

[7.0] "Very solid all around performer. "Good not great" kind of defines his career.  Good not great in the ring, good not great charisma, good not great on the mic. One of the few guys to have notable runs in ECW, WWF, WCW (albeit a brief one there) and TNA. Seems like someone who could've really contributed to the business outside of the ring had he lived longer. His death was extremely tragic, but kind of got overshadowed by Eddie Guerrero's even more tragic death a few months later. RIP."
