Not the most exciting wrestler as a singles guy but not boring either, imo. And always cut a very serviceable promo. I'm just sad we never got a second Beer Money run, even in WWE. They were incredible as a team!"

Although I can understand why some would find him a bit boring in the ring due to his usage of basic wrestling moves. I can still see him getting over in any promotion given an appropriate gimmick due to his mic and promo skills."

TNA started getting better in 2018 after D'Amore and Callis took over and I wonder how Roode would've contributed. His NXT run was great but his main roster run wasn't. That was the standard for that era. NXT was light years ahead of the main roster and it was incredibly rare for the main ppv to be better than the Takeover the night before. Roode is very talented on the mic and in the ring and it's a shame the last few years of his career are forgettable."

[10.0] "Without a shadow of a doubt THE BEST TNA World Champion of all time. His character work was off the charts and his matches were always different from everything else on the show which made them stand out especially when he was in NXT. Everything about him from his entrance to his music to the way he carried himself to the pacing and psychology of his matches to the way he can control a crowd whether as a face or heel, he was a star. He could've come into WWE 5 years before he ended up going when he was much younger and became a big star but he went to WWE much older and the negative stigma in that company about pushing older guys worked against him. He had a great run in NXT as NXT Champion but on the main roster he became the veteran who worked with the younger wrestlers and had great matches but always lost. Even then, he always put his best foot forward and his work with Dolph Ziggler as The Dirty Dawgs is the best work he did on the main roster and he was consistently having great matches whenever he got the chance until a neck injury put his in-ring career on hold. It's a shame that he might never wrestle again and he didn't get to end his career on his own terms but I know he's gonna be a great help as a backstage producer and younger talent can really benefit from him putting together their matches."

The way that he carried himself, the way that he always looked like a million bucks physically. dressed the part of a big star both in his in-ring wardrobe and outside of the ring with the custom made suits, always delivered on the microphone, and was/still is a great hand in the ring. I guess without sounding cliche, you could say he had the it factor. He was one of the guys who in my eyes anyway had all of the boxes checked in regards of what a complete performer should be before he ever stepped foot in WWE, so I thought when he got there it'd be a no brainer that he'd be pushed to the moon. Boy was I wrong. I don't know if Vince didn't see it or who didn't see it, but he's one of the most underrated guys on the roster right now. I hope things get better for him soon because there aren't many talents better than Bobby."

[7.0] "Roode was always a good hand in the ring and excelled in tag teams, being able to work as a heel magnet or a cool face: through I personally thought that James Storm, his best known tag partner as apart of Beer Money, was better quality wise when it came to singles matches and ring psychology, Roode had the superior charisma and mic skills that ultimately got him to a main event scene in TNA. While Roode was a pretty good heel and carried himself amazingly well, I never really thought he was that good of a wrestler, even during his prime years. Don't get me wrong, he could work well, but he never seemed legitimate as a guy who could provide a main event quality bout. Probably one of the better examples of a B+ player, so to speak, as he could get taken to that level if he was with someone who he could work off with, but he couldn't carry someone to that level of quality. His stuff in NXT supports that, as while he had a good run as NXT Champion in terms of tenure, his matches..... didn't quite hit the mark. These days he's pretty beyond his prime, and while he can still work, I wouldn't say he'd be suitable as even a upper mid card guy anymore."

He was hot for a minute in NXT, although I might argue that he quickly became more known for his theme song & the word "glorious" than what was actually good in the long run. In TNA he had so many alterations of his character; from Team Canada to Beer Money to the Dirty Heels. I was never in love with the guy, but I saw the potential."

[8.0] "Oh how the mighty have fallen. It's even more frustrating because it's not Bobby's fault. WWE have almost ruined this man. This guy was a god in TNA. He had arguably the best mic skills in the company at the time (still a great talker today) and he was one of their best workers (he's still a great worker today, although his in-ring work has declined slightly). He is a TERRIBLE face, AWFUL. WWE NEED to turn him heel NOW. When he was TNA World Champ as a heel (going back to his mic skills) he cut some of the best promos of that time period in the industry (2011-2012). If Hunter, Vince or anyone at WWE see the light and turn Roode heel like he was in TNA and NXT, he will thrive on the main roster. Why they turned him face after his main roster call-up baffles me. Anyway, I'm rambling. The 8 rating is mostly because of his past work and the respect I have for him. Bottom line: Needs a heel turn NOW or he's just going to fizzle out. Needs a big heel singles run and get out of all the tag team stuff with Chad Gable or anyone else unless WWE bring in James Storm (would have helped if Storm had stayed in NXT for a year longer) for a Beer Money reunion."

Of course, he has charisma and it's obvious that if they put more work into his character, he might be much more interesting - this gimmick consisting of catchy theme song and one dumb catchphrase isn't really working. In the ring, he's pretty average."

That's a good and bad thing, as he's one of the better heels in the WWE but he's also a pretty unremarkable worker (who can have right matches with the right opponent. ) He's a little miscast as a face, but when he eventually turns he's going to achieve some good work in the WWE."

I am impressed by his stamina and skill but I prefer him as a heel. The happy go lucky baby face persona just doesn’t arouse the same tingling feeling in my soul and loins. But he is clearly over. He is a huge addition to the flaccid and injury plagued WWE roster. He has been field tested with Dolph and his next step is to resuscitate Corbin’s flagging career. It would be nice if a storyline is erected that showcases him in all of his glorious virility. Those of us who have seen the full measure of this man know he is endowed with the equipment to main event. Do not be deceived by his average size and the apparent stiffness of his movements. When the bell dongs this guy can go."

He was never exactly considered one of the best in the world back when he was in TNA, but since he got that popular entrance music debuting in NXT people started fawning over him, calling him a great southern heel throw-back, but to me he is as vanilla a heal as they come. He's overly-aggressive, cowardly, cheap, etc. This is nothing new, and his actual wrestling skill is incredibly mediocre since, as the heel, he is usually the one in control, but I can't connect with him at all when he's working the match. Almost all of his big NXT matches have put me very closely to sleep because his technique and character are so basic. Nothing about him stands out, except his appeals to the crowd who love him because they enjoy shouting "glorious". It's gotten him over, and good for him, but as a fan I have not enjoyed his presence in WWE at all. His showboating often feels very contrived and cartoonish, which would work back in the 70s or 80s but not in the modern day when I believe wrestlers should have more nuance to how their personalities are expressed. I'm glad he is no longer NXT champion, though I just generally hope he doesn't have any major roles in the company as a whole going forward either."

His 15+ year career has really helped him find the perfect combination of in ring skills, charisma, & aggression.
