[6.0] "An unexpected surprise coup for Holly and Waltmann, who--after winning the title with Jannetty--secures the tag-team belts for the second time in what appeared to be a random undercard partnership. Amid the heels' long, dominant stretches, the lightweight underdogs repeatedly interjected with quick bursts of action to prevent the match from falling entirely into the hands of the MDC. One of the main reasons for the match's outcome is the attention-grabbing 'Bam Bam vs. LT' storyline, which originates immediately after the end of this title match. A decent tournament final, though its result is rendered absurd the very next day."

[5.0] "This was a solid match with a lot holding it back from being better. First, the heat spots went on too long. Both Kid and Holly got beaten down for extended periods of time that dragged it down. A lot of moments, their timing was off and made the match awkward. The finish was pretty weak and didn't exactly get the underdogs over. I also don't exactly get the wisdom in pinning the heel that you intend of main eventing your biggest PPV of the year on the PPV right before. Tatanka easily could have taken the pin with no issues. Even if you liked the 'feel good' finish, it sours when you realize Kid and Holly were just placeholders. I assume Vince gave them the belts in case the Bart was injured for longer than they hoped. But when Bart was fine, they just had the Guns with the next night. When Kid was in the ring, he generated a lot of action, and Bam Bam is an incredible seller and and agile bumper as always. It is a perfectly serviceable match, but nothing special at all."

They did a great job building to the hot tag, and Kid's comeback once he was tagged in was pretty wild for the time period. The finish could have been better, but that aside this is a really fun underdog story that deserves a bit more recognition than it gets."

[5.0] "Impressive. A exciting heel vs face dynamic, with some of small guys vs big guys and also young vs veterans, an easy mix that made the match so enjoyable. A good tournament final with Kid doing amazing athleticism and quick attacks, but making mistakes and been over confident at times, Holly with the offensive and enduring a lot while he was isolated, Bigelow and Tatanka were great, specially Bigelow, big, strong and also athletic and even creative. Holly going for the tag on the wrong corner was a valuable detail, as well Kid giving him an elbow to his partner. The finish was also coherent, but a little bit silly. I'm looking forward to this title reign. **3/4"

It's a very well structured and organized contest with heels being in control for the most part but keeping it fresh and interesting with their attitude and demeanor. Bob and Kid had some great comebacks and everyone knew when to pick up the pace and eventually get the crowd going. Good match, I just wish that they did a bit more in the end as Bam Bam laid down a bit too long to get pinned."

Even further tarnished by the fact that the belts were dropped the following night anyway. This could have been much higher without the unfortunate booking surrounding it."

Holly and the Kid would drop the belts back to the Gunns the following night so the tournament for the tag belts was pretty much meaningless."

[8.0] "This match really has no right being as good as it is. Bigelow had slowed down by this point, and Holly and Tatanka were never much good. Waltman is in his very brief peak here, though, and bumps like crazy for Bam Bam. There's good chemistry between all four wrestlers here, and they tell a good story of two teams who don't know each other well failing to communicate. Given that the ending makes sense, and for the first time on this show we have a proper ending. The best normal match of the night, and it's not even close."

[8.0] "I love this match and a really silly finish is the only thing that prevents me from going 9 here. Tatanka is a little sluggish here but all four guys play their part well. The heat segment on Holly is really nice and Bigelow and Waltman were both at or near their peak. Good storytelling too. Even the aforementioned silly finish at least has a decent story excuse."

But, at the end, Bob Holly and 1-2-3 Kid (who were replacing the Smoking Gunns in the tournament) made great performance in all of there matches and this one was great ! High pacing when the babyface? s shine and comeback, great work by the heel in their heat ! Bam Bam Bigelow at his best and a surprising Tatanka ! But Holly and the Kid, ahead of their time, maybe one of underatted/forgotten tag team of the new generation era"

[8.0] "I'm not ashamed to say that even though Kevin Nash and Bret Hart are among my favorite wrestlers of all-time, I enjoyed this tag team title match a bit more than their WWF title match they had at Royal Rumble 95. There was a lot of great nonstop action for the majority of this match and I had fun watching it. I liked the aftermath afterwards too where Bam Bam Bigelow pushed Lawrence Taylor who was in the crowd which set up their Mania match. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of in this match was that after Tatanka accidentally made Bam Bam fall off the top rope, 1-2-3 Kid crawls to the cover and pins him to win the tag titles. I just didn't think there was much sense in that finish for a guy like Bam Bam Bigelow to get defeated like that, but whatever."
